Wow... an insult to all of us married in BLUSH! Not everyone looks good in white! Guess what, I was married in 1998 and my blush dress (which was unheard of at the time) still looks timeless and elegant. Colors don’t mean you aren’t taking your vows seriously!
I think a lot of mothers see their daughter's wedding as a reflection of themselves and how other people will perceive them and their family. So it starts out as "I just want you to be happy..." and ends with "people will think I'm a horrible mom because my daughter did something unconventional."
@Marcel big difference between an 'opinion' and being controlling and judging. Besides, when it comes to a decision someone else makes that affects no one but themselves, like dyeing their hair? Their body, their choice.
It's more about chasity....being a virgin. Which is a stupid religious thing that nobody should follow unless THEY want to. If I even ever get married, I plan on wearing something VERY different. And my mother would be happy for me even if she didn't like it. Because that's what parents should be. Period.
Nope. The reason white became popular was because Queen Victoria wore a white dress. Up until then, any color dress would worn with exception of black and red. White is actually a mourning color in a lot of non-western cultures. White had nothing to do with purity.
Tradition, tradition, tradition...a white wedding dress only became tradition after some ONE person decided it should be so. And I am so fed up with attitudes like the mom. I ended up LOVING her grandpa lol.
All traditions start somewhere, somehow. It's doesn't matter how old a tradition is or how it started, it still is a tradition. It doesn't mean of course that she had to follow it. That's her choice
@@westleighbush3411 white was for all children up to 2 years of age. Adults rarely wore white because it was childish. All the marriage 'traditions' usually have bazaar starts lol. I love that people are turning more and more to what they want then just dictated custom 🥰
The dress was totally "her". I think the mother is jealous of her daughter. I love the lace sleeves instead of the same old strapless. The bride looked like an angel.
What is it with the veil? Everybody is like "uh, no, i don't like that dress." And the moment the brides put on their veils they're like crying and loving it and everything's perfect. I don't get it
Sometimes the dress can look bottom-heavy so having a veil on top can not only balance it out but also frame the face and upper body. But it’s always up to the bride whether she feels beautiful in it or not ❤️
Grandpa is so chill and wise! He put his opinions aside and let her wants come first. So sweet, she's a lucky gal. My Grandpa was the same! Miss him every day!
Bride: "I want a dress in a non-traditional color" *comes out in a dress that is barely not white* Entourage: "that color is gawdy and ridiculous, what were you thinking?" Are my eyeballs not screwed in correctly or something? It's not like the dress is neon. I probably wouldn't notice it wasn't white unless someone specifically told me.
I think the camera doesn´t pick the colors very well. If you saw the first and second dress in real life, you will notice that the second one is pure-white, while the first one is indeed pink (and maybe not as bright). And the contrast they make with the skin is very different too. In my case I loved blush on pictures, but it was so bad with my skintone.

I know right!
I agree, I think deep down he has his views, but also knows that he is most probably not fashionable. It was only the colour he disagreed to, not the dress! This Grandad is a sweetheart!
She looked so rosy and fun in the more pink dress, and so pale and upset in the white one.
Exactly she’s got a pinky skin color the white washed her out so much
Yes, the mom was arrogant, not supportive and over complicated everything...
But when the bride said, "High school me is different from 20 year old me" I literally snorted my tea out.
just because you’re going to change more doesn’t mean you haven’t changed.
Wow... an insult to all of us married in BLUSH! Not everyone looks good in white! Guess what, I was married in 1998 and my blush dress (which was unheard of at the time) still looks timeless and elegant. Colors don’t mean you aren’t taking your vows seriously!
What was the reaction when you decided on the blush dress? I know it was the 90s, but that's still relatively recent
xspringrose سحبت عليك
So now you can say you were a trend setter ahead of your time!!
Exactly plus back in the days white was only worn by virgins so it defeats the purpose of white dress nowadays

Annoying how the mom said she had her back and then a second after didn’t
I think a lot of mothers see their daughter's wedding as a reflection of themselves and how other people will perceive them and their family. So it starts out as "I just want you to be happy..." and ends with "people will think I'm a horrible mom because my daughter did something unconventional."
She was the worst
The blush looked lovelier than the white.
The mother is so horribly judgemental. "Ew, she dyed her hair seafoam green"
so what, that sounds gorgeous
@Marcel big difference between an 'opinion' and being controlling and judging. Besides, when it comes to a decision someone else makes that affects no one but themselves, like dyeing their hair? Their body, their choice.
Me watching this with green hair: :(
what mom ISN'T judgemental
Marcel not sure if i call it an 'opinion' more like constant bullying and constant tearing down.
Marcel wow! you're such a big bad tough person who nobody can emotionally hurt you. impressive!
They acted like she wanted to get married in a bikini. There is nothing wrong with having a different color than white as your wedding dress.
It's more about chasity....being a virgin. Which is a stupid religious thing that nobody should follow unless THEY want to. If I even ever get married, I plan on wearing something VERY different. And my mother would be happy for me even if she didn't like it. Because that's what parents should be. Period.
Lexi The Queen Bean Hell most religious nutcases (The ones who throw bibles at everyone) don’t even follow that rule.
Nope. The reason white became popular was because Queen Victoria wore a white dress. Up until then, any color dress would worn with exception of black and red. White is actually a mourning color in a lot of non-western cultures. White had nothing to do with purity.
KittyFAN13 Is your ass jealous of the shit that comes out of your mouth?
Razza1941 Uuuuhhhh, no? What makes you think that anything I said means that I’m jealous?
I like how she points out this "difference" between high school Megan and 20-year old Megan as if 20 is some mature age 🤣
As if high school Megan wasn't only 2 years ago 😂
Tradition, tradition, tradition...a white wedding dress only became tradition after some ONE person decided it should be so. And I am so fed up with attitudes like the mom. I ended up LOVING her grandpa lol.
All traditions start somewhere, somehow. It's doesn't matter how old a tradition is or how it started, it still is a tradition. It doesn't mean of course that she had to follow it. That's her choice
It was the queen who started it
Red used to be the color for weddings until the queen made white a more traditional color.
@@westleighbush3411 white was for all children up to 2 years of age. Adults rarely wore white because it was childish.
All the marriage 'traditions' usually have bazaar starts lol.
I love that people are turning more and more to what they want then just dictated custom 🥰
The white dress only became popular after Queen Victoria. Before that, dresses were red.
That first dress added color to her. She’s very pink in her undertones and a natural blonde, as someone with similar coloring I know that pink works!
I have this coloring also and pink is magical.
She is so beautiful in the blush dress. It was made for her and by the way, she reminds me of Luna from Harry Potter. So sweet and so pretty!
The dress was totally "her". I think the mother is jealous of her daughter. I love the lace sleeves instead of the same old strapless. The bride looked like an angel.
Jelous? No mother will be jelous youre stupid
Muhra D wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll.......
The sleeves were totally a good fit for her. I wish she had kept them.
Yep...
Muhra D learn how to spell “jealous” before you call someone stupid
Why is she the real version of Luna lovegood-
Oh my g-
Omggg yeess
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT!
My first thought too😁...
My thoughts exactly
I love how Lori speaks up. I loved her blush gown..
A bride shouldn't ever compromise with her family on her dress. The mom is so rude.
Yes say it louder for the people in the back.
What is it with the veil? Everybody is like "uh, no, i don't like that dress." And the moment the brides put on their veils they're like crying and loving it and everything's perfect. I don't get it
Julia Klekler i guess they just accepted the fact that it’s her choice and her wedding, and come to realize marriage doesn’t depend on a dress.
cuz oldies love taditional looking gowns
Me neither
Sometimes the dress can look bottom-heavy so having a veil on top can not only balance it out but also frame the face and upper body. But it’s always up to the bride whether she feels beautiful in it or not ❤️
Out of guilt. Jk
Grandpa is so chill and wise! He put his opinions aside and let her wants come first. So sweet, she's a lucky gal. My Grandpa was the same! Miss him every day!
God bless that grandpa for realizing that it’s about her and not him or her mom or anyone else 🙏🏼
YEs!
The bride knows what suits her. The first dress is really the one. ❤
She chose the perfect dress for her, because is the one she loves. It suits her personality, the color looks beautiful on her. Mom, live with it!
I love that this girl stuck up for herself. She looked phenomenal in the gown that she chose 😍😍
Mom's need to shut up and let their grown daughters decide for themselves.
Brides need input. But once they get set on a dress and are sure, there shouldn’t be one lone holdout when everyone else including the bride agrees.
Bride: "I want a dress in a non-traditional color"
*comes out in a dress that is barely not white*
Entourage: "that color is gawdy and ridiculous, what were you thinking?"
Are my eyeballs not screwed in correctly or something? It's not like the dress is neon. I probably wouldn't notice it wasn't white unless someone specifically told me.
Same.
@@vilwarin5635 ahh so true , wasabout to comment the same .. blush is so subtle ...on camera it doesn't pop up so mucj
Can you imagine if she had wanted a black dress????
Ohhhhh Boy!
My mother’s wedding dress in the ‘60s was a light pink mini-dress. It’s adorable.
Lori’s look on her face when the bride said “I came for blush” was priceless.
Mom: I'll support you in your choice.
Also Mom: No no no
I love grandpa here lol. He's really trying to be supportive and let his grandbaby have what makes her happy regardless of how he may feel.
The compromise dress fit weird on her it wasn’t any where near as nice as the first.
Her spirit & confidence are so appealing. And she looked like a magical woodland fairy in that blush dress.
Oh man, the depth of pain in her little face she’s trying SO hard to hide... I’m sorry but that mom was kinda fucking horrible to totally switch from supportive to actually saying “I don’t care if I make her mad. I hate that dress.” like ok, Jekyll & Hyde?
Blush is so close to white tho, I don’t get the drama around that
For real it’s not like she said red or black! I mean it’s her day even if she wanted too ..but seriously it was so suddle
Im so glad she stood her ground
I’m sorry, that mom doesn’t know what she’s talking about. She obviously loves the dress, and I don’t know who would want their loved one to walk down the aisle in a dress they don’t love
The bride says her weddings theme is BLUSH and GOLD and the mom didn’t like the blush dress?? And she looked beautiful in it too!
I’m so glad she stood up to her mother. I hope she continues to put “mom” in her place. She’s a grown up now.
Oh, and I really hate the term “jacked up”. It should like they’re going to send a gang in to slash her face...
I hate it too. I cringe every time they say it. Jacking up is either lifting up a car to change the tyre or injecting yourself with illegal drugs!
Yes, it drives me batty!
2:46-2:56 The editors chopped up the mom's audio to make her say that, the way her voice fluctuates isn't natural and sounds like it was taken from 3 different audio clips smh
Whoa didn't catch that
Bruh you right. That’s some real sloppy editing there damn.
I mean they always do that... this show is so horribly fake 😆 I’m only here for ogling dresses lol
"it looks like somebody put whiteout on the dress to cancel the mistake of even making it" well damn.
The waistline should be more narrow
The jewel work is a bit sloppy
The only thing I didn't like about the first one is the weird flower in the belt. But it flattered her very nicely and she looked amazing.
I think that the first dress was made for her, she looked like a princess.
Everybody gansta ‘till they put a veil on
Lol real
I loved the first dress - perfection. Blush!
SO glad she stuck with that first dress, I was blown away!! She looked like a fairy straight out of the forest :’)
The dress she chose was just PERFECT for her, as if it had been designed for her. Lovely, wonderful!
If she was just as right in choosing her husband, they will live happily ever after :)
Dress #1/#4 is fabulous!!
"The apple doesn't fall away from the tree and she has two here" 😀😂 good for the girl that didn't back down! And what miracles a veil can do!
The grandpa 🥰🥰 oh my heart! This is spot on the type of relationship my papa and I have and it makes me almost cry bc its so sweet 💗 Grandpas like this are perfect GEMS 💎
The first dress was SOOOOO PRETTY!!
Glad she stood her ground. Especially with family, that’s hard at 20. Good for her and I hope she felt fabulous on her big day!! My wedding dress is blush as well so 🙌🏾🙌🏾 #TeamBlush
Was this mom on drugs? She looked stunning in the first dress. It fit her theme exactly - lace and vintage. The blush is really subtle too, it's not like she got a neon pink dress (nothing wrong with that either!) So why the fuss? Mom was unnecessarily harsh and cruel in my opinion. I'm glad the bride stood her ground, and good for the grandpa for being the only truly supportive member of the entourage.
I loved how this family opened their hearts and grew to love the bride's choice. She looked amazing!
The Blush one was so beautiful on her and it made her look like she was a fairytale princess
Her daughter is literally crying in love with this dress and her mom be like:I want it to make me emotional girlll this ain’t your wedding sweetie
Edit:thanks for the likes!
The first dress is the BEST!! IT LOOKS GORGEOUS!!!❤❤
I don’t see what the big deal is about a blush dress.
Bro whaaaat I actually loved the first dress. The lace, the ball gown skirt! Felt so fairy like! literally my ideal dress and probably one of the first dresses on this show I genuinely liked
The first dress was definitely made for her ❤
That first dress was incredible??😶
Her mother is so toxic. She only cares about what people think of herself
