The comments on this video are awful. The idea that strangers have the right to criticize a woman’s back, eyebrows, stomach, etc as she is preparing for her wedding is disgusting. She’s happy. She looks lovely. And her body doesn’t belong to you.

You don't have to bring the bride down by telling her it is so the wrong dress...surely that's why she took her friends with her to be truthful!...

Def wishing the consultant would have chosen a long, elegant veil, instead of that short one.
I never liked short veils. I don’t understand the rules behind the short vs. long veil, and when to opt for whichever. I always preferred long veils, they look way more elegant.
Maybe she wanted a short one :) For example, the long cathedral ones you could never wear during the reception and some brides want that. After all, it's the only day you can actually wear a veil..

@@safala yes, and I assume there will be at least 6 months from choosing the dress to the wedding day (they said sometimes it takes 9 months to actually get the dress!), so if she chooses to change her hair, work out, get special shapewear, that's enough time to make the overall effect even more flattering and customized.

yeah no, that's not how fashion works. either something is flattering on you or it isn't, you can feel happy in something unflattering but that doesn't magically make it flattering on you.
When people are commenting about body parts look in the dress brides are trying on (stomach, back,etc) - samples rarely fit properly, and once ordered in the proper size and altered as needed, there won’t be tugging fabric or tight enclosures in the back.
@@dietotaku it really just depends on the person. You can find something flattering on someone but someone else might not like it. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Its a very vague concept.
On an outside note, but relevant to this, I see every day women with obvious weight problems (I'm one of them, so I'm not excluding myself or feel superior to anyone) squeeze themselves into leggings so thin that they show every nook and cranny of their private parts, and to make it worse, wear a short top just as tight, leaving NOTHING to the imagination. Some women cheapen themselves by thinking this is "beautiful" somehow just because it happens to be the fashion of the time or the next big rage. Again, this stylist, in my opinion just sold a dress, but did not do the job of a "stylist". The blame goes on the stylist, not on the young bride for not steering her into something more appropriate for her figure.

i really couldn't give a fuck less about her eyebrows but when you have literal back rolls, no i don't think it looks good to put on a fully open-back dress. you could see the impressions from her bra straps ffs, is that what she wants people paying attention to when she walks down the aisle? difference between this show and shows like curvy brides boutique is that the latter actually acknowledges what flaws a bride needs to compensate for and does so.
dietotaku the shop is more than likely to alter her dress to fit her properly, we don’t know 🤷♀️ maybe she doesn’t have an issue with showing off her skin which some of us would be too afraid to show! Hats off to her if that is the case. Her happiness is all the matters.

I will always judge someone’s eyebrows I can’t help it. It’s the first thing I notice about someone and it’s compulsive 😂 all bodies are beautiful tho. Nobody should be commenting on her body.

True friends! They really wanted to see her happy and everyone left with happy tears and a gorgeous dress within budget! Loved it but just wished they would've given her a longer veil to picture the wedding day instead of the shorter one. Nevertheless, I got happy tears randomly too.
Ok so it wasn't flattering but her mates tuned in to the fact that she loved it & supported her in that. That's got to count for something surely. She feels great. That's the goal. Lovely friends.

Those dresses weigh a TON. You don't notice when you're wearing it, but I needed both hands to carry my dress and was struggling to raise it above my head (to hang it up high post wedding). Even my husband found it surprisingly heavy. I don't blame the consultants, 'cause carrying that stuff around is a workout!

That dress looked awful but the ball gown would of suited her better.

Sometimes you can have the right dress .. But the wrong fit , sometimes you can have the right fit but the dress is wrong.
Your wedding dress should make you feel like a queen for the day . The bride clearly felt like queen and that's all that matters . I just hope she can be realistic about the fit ...and find some little tricks all of us women have in order to make our outfits look their best on our (all) bodies . Congratulations !

The bride looked absolutely lovely in all the dresses, but you can really really tell how happy she was in the last dress versus the others ones 🥺 It always warms my heart because it shows that a person being happy and confident in their dress makes the dress itself 10x lovelier and gives the bride her glow 🥰
Why in the world would you want to wear a dress that’s so unflattering? Her friend’s should’ve been honest with her and helped her find a dress the complimented her figure, this dress did the opposite, I imagine she’d be very unhappy once she saw the wedding photos.

The reason is that the dress is just fine.
It is WRONG for a girl who has a large tummy, large thighs, a plump pubic area that make a bump hips that ave a bulge, them a dimple then an bulge, and a back that has a plump fold on either side.
There is nothing WRONG with the girl's well padded figure.
The problem is that the COMBINATION of a curvy figure with a dress that clings to every bump and hollow is a very bad combination.
This bridal show often shows women who are very very big. The comments are usually not at all negative.
But in this case the comments are negative because the dress was a very bad choice, and it didnt look good.
If she reads this before th wedding, or one of those three friends do then they ought to change it!

Yes, among SOME people, having a dress stretched across bulges is considered just fine.
Other people think that it looks cheap and tacky. I am on of the latter.

The dresses were all very pretty dresses but she definitely did not pick the most flattering one. She should have went for a less full style of A-line bottom with a top similar to the 2nd. The ball gown shape balanced her out more.
Katrina's entourage were wonderful. When they made the selection of the dress she chose, they knew exactly what she wanted and found a dress under budget. A refreshing change!

I personally didn’t like the first one . The second one was really pretty but fitted a bit weird and the third one was beautiful but really tight
It is only a sample size so hopefully when she gets it measured it’ll fit her better 👍
They will order the dress in the proper size and then fit it to her when it is delivered. That's one reason they want the brides to order their dresses early. That means it will be delivered to the store early enough before the scheduled date of the wedding for there to be time to fit the dress properly to her body. It won't be that tight and there will be none of that pulling effect when she walks down the aisle. It is very rare for the sample size to fit every part of the bride's body correctly without alterations by a skilled seamstress. Nearly everyone has to have at least one or two fittings to get their wedding dress to fit every part of their body correctly.
@@bunnyslippers191 I'm glad you posted about the dress sizes. I was wondering why they were putting them into dresses that looked much too small for their figure. It ruins the look of the dress when it is pulled so tight.
@@crystalheart9 yeah, the stores only have a couple sizes. I think a smaller end sample size and maybe a larger sample size. I understand that but I think I would struggle with picturing how something would look on me if it didn't fit right.

I completely agree with the previous comment, the brides entourage are respectful of what the bride is trying on, the final decision is the brides. I have watched other “Saw yes to the Dress”, in NYC..the brides entourage are so negative to the brides decision..

These insensitive people in the comments should be quite aware that the bride now has to be measured and the dress fitted to her body. She is wearing a sample size. This bride is beautiful and confident. I wish I had an ounce of her courage to be put in a dress like that much less filmed for everyone to see. This reminds me of people who house hunt, go into and empty house and say the don’t like it because they have no imagination to visualize the possibilities. Happy she got what she wanted!

I love seeing another plus size gal getting a dress that reflects her style instead of choosing to cover what society says is “lumpy” or unflattering. I chose to say f*** it and had my dream dress made in my Size16 and don’t regret it a bit. I love my wedding pictures because it’s so obvious I’m truly happy and delighted with myself and my loving husband. Learning to embrace my shape despite bullying and shaming has been a journey, but I’m so glad I didn’t get married until I was older and valued myself, flaws and all.
And THAT is what matters most!

I agree with you. I was thinking I was the only one who noticed that, so either she hated it, but thought her friend was happy and that is what mattered, or she wasn't so keen on her " friend" having the perfect dress.
I had a friend like that for over 20 years. When were very much younger and doing the bar scene, she would always say something looked great when I knew and everybody knew it didn't. She was always jealous about the attention I would get from men. She admitted this years later.
Could be that her friend is just jealous that she is getting married.

She is on facebook, no full length pictures but it did look like she'd dropped a lot of weight. Maybe her friends knew she was going to do that and that's why they let her choose that dress
She is lovely and this is NOT an attack on her weight.. but the truth is that she WILL need shape-wear to accomplish the intended look in a dress that slinky and clingy for sure. It's not going to flatter her without it.
