It's nice that you added the info about cost and time at the end. People, myself included, often underestimate the effort that goes into these restaurations. Great work!

I was the one who suggested this a couple videos back and you replied saying you'd try it out and I'm happy to see it! Honestly the materials cost all in was less than I expected. And it makes me appreciate your content even more knowing it took 3 weeks for us to enjoy 15 minutes of viewing. Thanks for another fun project, excited as always to see what's on your table next!

Nice vid and a perfect restoration. BUT... The green-yellow ground connection is a very bad joke.
Soldering on paint can't work and soldering on steel is difficult. Just crimp an connector on the cable an fix it with a screw. 😊 Greetings

This was a great restoration. The only thing that I would suggest doing differently is to make a recess for the fuse and speed switch so that this could sit or hang flat against a wall.

I am surprised by how much it cost only because the restoration project looked so good I thought man this must sell for a lot so it's probably expensive to restore and I wasn't far off I guessed 300 bucks to restore maybe it's like a 500 dollar or more sign 🙂 very beautiful end result though, I am like I would love one of these but I am sure it's far out of my budget ha ha it's stunning :) I am working on building a solarium for my mom and my niece who love to garden and was thinking of making a cafe and all that and this sign would just be so cool to use.

@@musthavechannel5262for sure. These restoration channels tend to do this - while odd tinkering got me into the hobby of restoring vintage tech, and I enjoyed it a lot, as a result youtube restorationists and the newfags like myself drove the price of the broken gameboys/NES'es/PSones sky high, to the point when now you can barely find a yellowed dirty old Gameboy DMG-001 with missing parts and motherboard corrosion for less than $40

You get better and longer lasting connection without the soldering tin.
The tinning just makes it more brittle and likely to break.

To avoid the glow for the bulbs that should be off: Add resistors between the outputs. Depending on the voltage in your country, you have to pick the right one. But I think 1 Megaohm should do.
