Wow. That thing is absolutely beautiful. Love the burgundy color, and everything else for that matter. Another old antique that would be a blessing to have on display in anyone's home or mantel. It's such a joy watching people with tools, knowledge and abilities capable of returning life to our heritage from the past..
I love that you give descriptions of each step, even the obvious ones. Draws the audience in more because now everyone knows what and why you’re doing what you’re doing, from the movie to the pro.
I am so used to “restoration” channels making fake videos and just sanding everything then spray painting that it is nice to see a video of a real restoration with tools and equipment to polish and powder coat everything.
Im so confused on how you find these things i go to swap meets garage sales etc and im lucky to find a old toaster let alone a machine like this. I love your videos i watch them solely to see things i never knew existed. love it.
Loved it! The results of the powdercoating blend for that dark red really astounded me! I would be fascinated to learn more about the old pieces you're restoring. Could you possibly include a miniature history lesson or background on the item you're bringing back to life?
Thank you for removing the imperfections, dents, scrapes, etc. It annoys me when other folks neglect to do the kind of quality work you do. This item is indeed a work of art.
🇬🇧 uk here , I buy & sell antiques so I can see the work you’ve put into this off camera .. Fantastic and keep up keeping such beautiful things in our world..thank you
My husband and I love your obvious talent and attention to detail. My husband admires how clean and organized your work shop is and your camera work is top notch too. My hubby and I both subscribed. Keep up the great work, so wonderful to see old things being brought back to life.
Another great project well done. I've seen a somewhat identical contraption in a pub, many years ago, and it was still in use by the patrons/regulars in the pub.
Wow, that was quite the ambitious project. Great job! I was amazed with how fast the hydrochloric acid took care of the rust. Anyways, beautifully done. Amazing paint job! 👏👍
Beautiful job! Complete disassembly, sand blasting, re-nickel and powder coating! Everything needed for a complete and positive restoration. I subscribed.
That thing is beautiful! Man I wish we still had my grandmothers old farm house, it was huge with endless antiques such as this and other gadgets/machinery that would’ve been amazing.
It's one thing to watch a great restoration - but - the original design and engineering is amazing. Thanks for a great video - an uncommon piece - but more thanks to whoever "saved" this device for all these decades.
Usually the restorations are a masterpiece of its own, yours are too, but your editing, your presentation and delivery my god, it is it's own masterpiece of pure glory.🔥
this is breathtakingly beautiful. i--and most folk, i would imagine--would have seen that rusted hunk of junk and said, 'it s too late--nature has reclaimed it." but you knew that within each component was its original strength, shape, and function, just asking to be released (much as michelangelo saw moses or david within a block of marble). and, as i watched you redeem it, i imagined those anonymous laborers in a workshop sometime about a century ago crafting each part and then assembling them. the industrial age was not just automobiles and rifles and bridges but milk cans and freezers and clockwork toys as well.
I have to say. Your work is incredible. Old stuff looks like the very first that made it originally out of the shop. I have watched a lot of your videos and admire the time you put in, and the patience. I can imagine some things are harder than they look in your videos. Do you take like a thousand pictures before, just to reassemble it when the parts are cleaned? And missing pieces? No problem, iron, plastic, glass, wood, you create them again like it’s nothing. Keep up the good work. I wish I had the skills to do the same.
You made that piece look better than when it was first made truly amazing work. This is the first video I've seen on this channel and I'm now a subscriber
Think about the person, who built this thing years ago, with all these metal parts, with all the effort. Just to drink beer with your buddys in bar. Today the hole thing would be made out of plastik for a few bucks in china.
Tchin! 🍻
Great. Something else I didn't know existed and am lusting for. It's a REALLY cool game. Awesome restoration. I bet it wasn't this nice when it was new.
Great channel, I'm so glad this was in my recommended feed. I usually don't instantly sub to a channel but like in this case when I do, It's usually because they're making, fixing or repurposing something and you can tell they genuinely care about the subject. Great video, can't wait to see what else you manage to dig up and fix.
My own personal taste would be not to go so hard on the nickel plating, but i have to admit the result was spectacular. Really enjoyed this one. keep up the good work. amazing job.
Especially on the brass handle. Given its natural self disinfecting properties and the current state of the world, leaving it brass would've been a good call
The sound it makes while it's spinning after the restoration, brought back memories of sticking a playing card in the spokes of my bicycle tires as a kid.
Just subscribed! Hope your channel grows faster because more people need to see the amazing job you've done. And everything in your workshop looks organized (at least in the video 😂) which is very pleasing. Great work! I'm gonna go ahead and watch other works of yours.
Merci Marie.
Such a satisfying experience. Edit; I love when I see this sort of thing and when someone is taking it apart, there's still some original colors (Like the insides of screws or stabilizing bars and rods and so fourth.) Reminds me that even though the restoration started out at the old rusted side, there were small parts that never touched oxygen or light and that was the first time since creation it did. just the little things.
that turned out beautiful, and what i like is that there is no annoying music with the vids you make and no jabbering talk, it lets the mind make its own conclusions
I can't believe that this is the same piece, that is just amazing that you were able to restore it like that. It looks like you just bought it off the shelf, that's how good of a job this is
You wrote this comment like you were going to say but, and it really bugs me for no reason in particular
A million of Drew Prichard is going to kill you. In my Op its an ultimate cleanup of an ancient piece. Good remade still.

Inspiring restoration job on an otherwise long-long-forgotten piece of folk ephemera. Cheers!

The piece you added to engage the locator gear ruined everything else you did. That wedge shaped piece was supposed to be spring loaded.
It's amazing how you can keep clean and neat all your working environment . This adds more appeal to your beautiful restorations
This is one of the best restorarion I've ever seen so far. Absolutely awesome job. Thank you for sharing this amazing experience.
