I remember a friend had a similar machine made in the 1960's. We thought it was so cool. Her mom would make popcorn, and we'd pretend we were in a theatre. You brought back a happy memory. Thank you.
I'm almost speechless, but not enough to forget saying THANKYOU for this. Brought back a lot of memories. You did a wonderful restore. I said to my wife, while watching you do the restore, "He should digitize the movie footage." And you did.
Как же приятно видеть, как этот проектор заработал после восстановления. И замечательный звук ❤. Однозначно, дети в те времена были бы в восторге, если бы им такую игрушку подарили!
Beautiful object.I'm impressed by how they managed to do complicated things with just bent metal sheets. The paints you use are incredible, especially the chrome effect!
Thanks a lot Damien, I love that chrome effect ;) I’m not sure Wamoo sold a lot of these projectors… such a thin metal sheet. Not easy to make it work properly, I broke the films many times, too old probably. Thanks to the editing you don’t see it but I had to restart the projector every time I broke the film frame🤬😅
@@TheFabrik yeah this fims tends to become brittle with time and I see nothing wrong at all with the mechanism. That's why for preserving old movies, they are scanned frame by frame, not projected. This projector should work with any 8mm film, the reels are even standard ones!

Hi, you perform these restorations of old technology using modern materials creating a perfect working item . The result is this old projector will last for years. Thanks for another great video. Cheers, Paul.🎥🎞👍👍🙏

You do such a great job at fixing, restoring and many times improving these toys. The wonderful thing is that not only were they saved but they’ll be around for a long time. Thank you!

I have the same Donald Duck cartoon .. only in color ... on standard 8mm as with this one ... This was an excellent video of the restoration of this children's projector . My late friend would have love to seen this video .. he was an avid Disney 8mm film collector ..
I work on projectors all the time and I have never seen one of these. A neat little machine with the basic functions of projection, but also looks so cool for a shelf piece.
Great job yes, but the colour choice is awful! It just looks rusty again! It looked like it might have been a light blue or green originally and THAT would have looked ‘period’.
The restoration is fantastic! I like the powder coatings you us and I was impressed to see the chrome finish was so bright. I was not sure if the films would work but they have certainly held up after all these years. Thanks for sharing this, it was neat to see this come back to life.
Hey TF You brought this a long way back, I really like the colours. Thank you for demonstrating the projector, I understand from other comments the films kept breaking, they are now preserved on your channel. 🙂 Happy weekend and take care of Yourself 😊
Oh Gee! I think I have something similar (Except the one I have has been made for North America or maybe adapted by someone, I'm not sure). It was given to me by one of my deceased uncles as written in his last will two decades ago. The toy projector is still in a cardboard box for many years and I've never been able to make it work. Because it's some kind of family heirloom to me, I never threw it away.
A very well done job my friend. I found the train I needed and I'm going to buy it so u can fix it. Don't worry I haven't forgot about u my friend. Ur the best always. As soon as I buy it I'll send u the photos. Keep up the good work

Superbe travail de restauration. On avait un petit projecteur avec des dessins animés qui ne duraient que quelques minutes mais cela faisait notre bonheur 😊 Merci et bravo pour votre savoir faire !

This one says 110 V, which is close enough to US 120 to be interchangeable. Besides, the only thing you'd need to change would be the light bulb.
