  • ITALIAN RICOTTA PIE | Crostata di Ricotta | The Best Italian Ricotta Pie
    250 g all-purpose flour (2 cups) - spoon and level
    100 g granulated sugar (1/2 cup) OR 100 g icing sugar (3/4 cups + 1 tbsp)
    100 g butter (1/2 cup)
    10 g honey (1/2 tbsp)
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    lemon zest
    a pinch of salt
    For the cream:
    1 egg
    400 g ricotta (1 cup + 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp)
    100 g icing sugar (3/4 cups + 1 tbsp)
    80 g chocolate chips (1/2 cup)
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    Lemon zest

      I am so happy to hear that. Any type of ricotta will do. Just make sure it's not too watery, if it is, drain it before use. I hope this helps :)

    Hi there just wanted to confirm the lemon zest in the English translation 3/4 cup and 1tlspn
    In the Italian it just says the zest of a lemon

      Hi! Thank you for noticing that. That is definitely a mistake. 3/4 cup and 1 tbsp of lemon zest will be extremely too much. Just lemon zest to taste. Half a lemon or a whole one if it's small should be perfect 😉
