My mama taught me to make these scacciati with broccoli, potato, bits of pork sausage and black olives with a sprinkling of pecorino Romano. Alternatively, with mixed spinach and mozzarella. For a sweet version, she made them with sweetened whipped ricotta and berries. Impanati remain a delicious favourite in our home 😋
this type of food is made in my home town, Modica. In Modica, there is also a special type of chocolate. The chocolate recipe is known to have arrived in Modica through the Spanish, who themselves brought the recipe from South America. In Modica, the chocolate processing has remained unaltered throughout the years... I guess with the impanate is the same thing, since they are originally from South America!
Thank you for sharing this recipe!!! The ones online are usually for the larger tray type pie & i have been looking for the smaller ones for a long time. I will make these this weekend. ❤
Giulia, what an amazing recipe! stunning! can't stop to try it! Is it possible to make it sweet too? for example with apple or banana and chocolate chips etc... Thank you so much! ♡♡♡

I subscribed your channel because for the first time I saw the decoration on the scacce made properly, like my granma did.

In Chile, we eat "empanadas" at least once a week. My favorite filling is artichoke and cheese (my own recipe).
Sounds great! 😊
Yes spinach filling
Awesome!!! 🤩
My family would order this for for take away from a small Italian place called Queens Plate Trattoria. We called it a Luna pizza!
I love the name!!! 😀

Those are calzones
Hi! They are similar to calzone but they have a different type of dough.
@@GiuliaArdizzone what kind of dough

@@GiuliaArdizzone what is scacce?
@@mehchocolate1257 that's how we call this type of "pizza" that I shared in the video today. I explain a bit of it in the video
Yes, I'm one of those ...NOT "INPANATUS" or impanatta....whatsoever. Scaccia is scaccia e calzone, calzone...impanatta is not that. Sorry Girl!!
