You bring tears to my eyes. Every Easter my father made these and delivered them to all of his brothers & sisters (7 in all). The whole family made them with him. Of course, he never wrote the recipe down so since his passing 28 years ago, I have never been able to duplicate his recipe. He added rice to his pies so I will be doing that as well!
