And Audi engineers too. But yes. That’s the story we’ve all been told for the last few years. No breaking news there
Everyone keeps saying Hyundai is killing it they are going to take enthusiasts away from brands , blah blah blah and in reality they struggle to sell Veloster Ns and my friend got a fully loaded Forte GT (to Uber with) for like 4 grand off because they can't sell them
@@VaunShiz, impractical cars do not sell. Overseas they have the i30 N and it sells very well. The Veloster is a waste!
@@VaunShiz most cars get big discounts. People expect a lot off. And basically you (the buyer) is just paying for the car’s depreciation upfront. And obviously they sold one to him. Kia is selling plenty of Tellurides at sticker. Everyone wins. Honda couldn’t sell Civic coupes so they’ve discontinued them altogether as they are also discontinuing the manual transmissions. These types of things are practiced with all car makers.
also helps that they can just carryover engines and stuff. They are only really in the compact sports segment right now.
Current car almost paid off. He sold me by his reaction alone.
Man If this N model gets offered under 30k€ or around that mark here in EU am definetly buying one next year....absolutly amazing!
my god that exhaust....i only see Sofyan laugh that much in super cars..... Hyundai/Kia/Genesis just killing these days....well done!!
Man Hyundai continues to up their game...you know a company is doing something right when it is a legit struggle to decide which product you want to purchase
Thats not even including what Kia and Genesis are doing
Canada gets the korean spec models with everything included
How do you know?
Let's all be happy it's a manual and a dual clutch. Most companies don't offer manuals, shit most are barely offering car's. And for Hyundai to make a great performance car with dual mode exhaust, manual, dual clutch, all modern tech and Let's not forget the best warranty on the market.
Damn that exhaust is loud, it been nice in the stinger! KDM bringing the fun back for car enthusiast at a affordable price. Reminds me good old days 90’s area JDM!
i'm in my mid 40's and i want this bad boy bad. this is my perfect DD. damn. i can't decide what to buy.
DCT ...no contest
3:00 for that exhaust sound! WOW!
Observation is all these testers have huge smile on their faces 😊 on all these Hyundai N vehicles.
Just finished modding my 16” Mazda 3 GT hatch. Not gonna lie I might trade it in for this 😍
This review got me thinking the same thing for my car
The smile on his face
Well well well Hyundai's bringin' the serious heat. Amazing car, I'm definitely going to check this car out when it finally hit the market. Very nice sound!
I'm a honda guy. But I have to say this N versions of the veloster and Elantra seem like a good addition to the segment. And it's nice to hear it will be cheaper than a type-R.
Wow! I need to go find my jaw because it fell off when I heard the exhaust.
Mines to, but now I’m crying and need some tissue because that comment made me laugh and my day as well. 🤩
😂💝😂
I heard from one of the Korean car review media that this will be the last N version car with an internal combustion engine. Hyundai’s plan for the next few years is to release several mainstream electric cars as volume sellers and create electric N models.
I need this car . With the performance package with the dct
Welcome to my faNily
It's not just for kids and bargain shoppers anymore.ill be 56 and retirering in July of 21 and will get getting this dual clutch version of this as soon as it comes out after as my daily driver..when you laugh and have smiles that big going on and know cars they did something right here with this.hooefully they will have a limited type version of this n for a grand or 2 more with all the other good features ..
Same here and I am 63.
Wow.. that exaust... impressive. Can't wait to see it on road
@Randy Jackson crackle and pops are fun! If its not your taste then thats too bad lol
@Randy Jackson considering those pops are the result of factory anti lag which is usually only seen in race cars yes it's impressive
I don't even car if people are hating the fact that they are shows how much of an impact hyundai is having on the industry!! Team blue all the way!
I bought a Civic Sport Hatch since the Veloster N was kind of small for me. I regret not waiting longer because this thing looks really cool and is much larger
You can trade it. Traded my Sport Hatch Touring for Tubo Ultimate & everyday driving excitement. Couldn’t stand the CVT. Comments that they won’t last, if it fails, I’ll get something else that’s fun to drive. Life’s short.
Hyundai, Genesis and Kia alone are the most impressive brand. Not only are they pumping out new cars, models and trims but they are keeping things realistic with price and quality. Their company is constantly improving to bring a sense of satisfaction to there clients that no other brand can really touch. And remember they've only just started.😉
They finally gave us a 4 door N car. Now we need a RWD Coupe!
They gave us two
Hyundai and rwd coupe is gone forever
@@VaunShiz how can u say that and the mid engine sport car RWD is on the corners of Nurburgring track .
It's called the G70
@@FlyingNDriving Exactly lol
No matter what you really gotta appreciate and accept what Hyundai is doing with their line up. I respect it, fun, sporty, performance. It’s all great.
Question, did your camera guy who has the Type R drive the car and his opinion? I've heard different opinions on whether the Kona N will have a manual. Latest I've seen is no and that would be disappointing. Definitely interested in the Elantra & Kona N
Finally an option with decent power and transmissions.? I’m definitely going to consider buying one when they come out. The veloster N performance was high on my list of cars to buy but this just passed it
You are having soooo much fun!
Thankyou for the first look of the Elantra N redline Reviews. I cant wait for the world release of the full N model!
Just....wow!!! And they are adding a DCT!
If dealership price was actually same as msrp this car would be even bigger value but nowadays these dealership markups are stupid man!
Who knew I would watch the N-Line review and then be treated with a foreshadowed Elantra N video?
Great job on securing the prototype N. The first person I’ve seen with this car. Also looks like you had a lot of fun driving that car 🤣
Love it! This will be my next car. I have a first gen vt lightly nodded and I love that thing! Was having a hard time deciding between VN or Mazda 3 turbo. But after seeing this, I know what I want. Thanks for the post!
Holy Fu that exhaust sound completely blew me away...esp from an elantra. Amazing
DCT will be the get go! Hyundai right now will be a Honda in the 90's.
the future used car market is going to be so amazing!
Holy shit lmao. The exhaust man. This car is a instant win
I have a 18 Elantra sport and I can not wait to get the N! It looks and sounds awesome!
Love that Hyundai it’s shutting a few mouths here and there.
I literally have owned the 2018 and 2019 elantras. I drove my moms 2017 elantra for 3 months straight so ima a fan. I wanted to switch to civic but ive never been so excited for a mainstream car like dis before. You’d think it’s a new Bugatti. I’ve been telling ppl hyundai is nothing to play with. I will be ordering this as soon as it’s available
Thats sound of Pleasure!, cant wait to get it
This will be my first new car when it comes out
18:14 I am sure you could tell in post exactly how quick this was but its definitely right at or just over 5 seconds to 60. Quick car!
Remember its 60kmh, if its the Korean spec. 100kmh = 62mph.
@@MTTech I would have to check but I do not believe the DCT car is in KMH.
4.8 seconds on the Veloster N with DCT from Car & Driver. The Elantra N will be a 5 second car, and the Kona N will be just as fast or faster the the Veloster N. Please stay tune for the Smartstream 2.3L turbo 4 engine with the 7k rpm Redline for the next gen of N models.
@@JT-fq2bl Hyundai rates the Veloster N DCT at 5.6 seconds. I would be shocked to see 4.8 seconds regularly under 5 seconds on the street. I think the Elantra will be realistically low/mid 5 seconds just like the Veloster.

Every since Hyundai got caught up in that fuel economy scandal, they began to underrate everything like the German 3.
A family sedan that can make fathers happy
South Korean cars are rising among the strong competitors like German!
Every fwd/fwd+ Volkswagen is in trouble!
Because Hyundai/Kia are hiring all of the German engineers lol
@Tristan Han WTF is that supposed to mean?
I'm a VW guy.. Love my GLI. But Hyundai's got me looking at that sonata N beast of a car ... and now this.. ?!?!!? my brother loves his Kona ultimate 1.6t... gotta say Hyundai is killing it !! i got some things to think about when my lease is up....
i want the elantra gt N !! i30N !!!
Agreed. That i30N looks infinitely better.
@@eloneatmyshorts personally, i prefer elantra's design over i30 :P
The i30n fastback looks better if you're going to pick an i30n model
@@christianmbabazi9722 I agree. I was seriously considering between mk7.5 gti or i30 nline
@@dyoolan I would get the Elantra N line or the Elantra N when or if it comes to the states
