      Peel off those protective stickers on the light up N badges on the seats. The stickers are white and hide the true color of the emblem. :)

    Daily drive my Elantra N (i30 Sedan N), and you’re right - the number of people that try to win the red light drag race (usually driving a ute/truck) is unbelievable.

    Kona N is my daily. Traded my Veloster N for it, practical, so fun, track ready. Love the Kona N. Never liked sedans, always been a hot hatch guy. 18” longer would really be noticed in my small parking spot too. I also own a drum shop and the Kona is way more practical than the sedan.

      Thanks. I find the Kona N a lot better looking and the ground clearance makes it a lot easier to drive in the city. The significantly shorter length also makes it easier to park.
      Elantra has a lot larger back seat and trunk room. The wheel hop is waaay worse.

    Kona N for the win. Especially if you have not so good roads in your neighborhood. Can't even pull into a driveway with the Elantra due to how far the front overhang is and how low it is.
    Kona N is more unique, not I gelse out there like it. It sits high but still gets it done handling wise but when you get in it it feels like you are in a low sports car. It's hard to describe.

      The front nose scraping of the Elantra N is Def an issue. I'm going to wait for the next gen Kona N, it wll be out soon and have the updated platform and interior.

      I have no issues with the Elantras ground clearance so you clearly haven’t driven one. It has typical economy sedan ground clearance which is perfect for any driveway… and if they are a bit steeper just angle the car while going in its not that hard…

    Absolutely love my Kona N. Makes daily driving fun and still gets the kids back and forth comfortably. I chose it new over a used Honda civic type R at around the same price point. More practical for me. I like the hatch style over the sedan style. (Also my Kona N has USB and power outlet in the back of the center console and lit up blue, not sure why the one you were previewing doesn't)

    I like the Kona N just for the ride height, mostly because I went from a mustang to a truck and now I don’t wanna sit low. Both cars are awesome though, and I’m a big fan of the Elantra N’s look and color.

    Would putting the Kona N in the softest suspension setting while keeping everything else maxed out help with the ride quality? KN is on my list over the EN just because of availability and mark-ups here in Los Angeles 😳

      Yes, that is what I do with my Kona N here in Michigan. As you know Michigan roads are complete garbage.

      It would help, but you need to like a sporty ride overall. The soft is not luxury car soft, it’s still firm and smooth but not as firm as sport or sport plus suspension settings.

      I'm coming from a Z so firmness is not an issue lol so no regrets getting the KN over the EN? Golf R was on my radar as well but they are so hard to come by and $10K+ mark-ups here in CA. Horrible!!

    It's a shame they don't bring the i30 N to the US/CN to replace the Veloster. I think that may have been my top choice.

    I'd say it's a very tough choice. Leaning towards the EN as it's cheaper and has slightly better fuel economy. @Acceler8 have you ever driven a KIA Stinger? If so how would you compare the KN and EN to the 3.3L model?

      I have owned a 2020 AWD Stinger GT 3.3TT and also now own a Kona N.Stinger has way more punch--but I have drag videos of my stinger and could literally beat like 95% of the cars on the road.Kona N can beat maybe 90%--better fuel mileage--easier to drive since it sits up high.I sold the stinger because I made a 10k profit--Loved the stinger but it sat too low--front skirts and dorr sills and rims can easily get nicked and scuffed up.The Ac in both cars is excellent--brakes and tranny also excellent.Stinger fit a period in my life and now the kona N does.With the money I have saved I can rent a track car if I goto the track.Both vehicles are actually very fast daily drivers and like my stinger--the Kona n in normal mode with the pedal pressed maybe 50% can hit triple digit speeds before I even merge on the Hwy--stinger simply has more punch at speed and is almost too much power.

    I chose my 22' Veloster N dct over the 22' Elantra N 6-speed. The dct is just too good!! I like the look and infotainment of the Elantra N, but the transmission is what sold it for me on the Veloster. N cars are hard to find around here. I wasn't about to wait on a dct Elantra. I couldn't wait actually lol.....

    This guy is obnoxious. I looked at both, drove both. Despite its size, the trunk in in the Elantra is oddly shaped, and has a chassis brace making oversize objects unstowable. The center console makes a poor divider from the passenger. The seating position and outward view in the Kona are superior. I bought one and love it. It's a big fat hatchback. Ride is very compliant, even though it has a shorter wheelbase. I have driven stick all my life, and I got news, folks: You can't shift as fast or accurately as the DCT. Not even close. Also, parking the Kona is amusingly easy. It fits in spots nothing but Fiats can, and it's small footprint protects it from door dings. Gonna drive it daily until my Maverick order comes in. Then maybe I'll sell it. Or maybe not.

    I came from an IS250 and the thing that got me really bad on the Kona N was the turning radius being so bad for a small car but FWD I guess.

    We own a 22 Veloster N DCT and a 23 kona N and love them both, we just aren’t a fan of the EN body style and enjoy the cornering of the VN DCT over the EN as it’s a lot tighter at TMP track

      @@dominickdavis1580 that's part of the problem. One place wanted 39k pretax n fee's for a used one with 40k miles. Iv gotten quotes for the 35k end up being 38.4 after fees n taxes. (After telling them I'm not paying $1,000 for a free color) the few around are sold/recalled/out of state and refuse to even talk price

    I owned an elantra N and it has cons. Avoid dirt roads or bad neighborhood rural bumpy uneven roads,not just feel uncomfortable ,but u will scrape it underneath. Also flooded roads ,the engine cover might come off ,and also carefull on speed bumps and deep driveways.also tell ur front passenger to watch their head when entering and exiting vehicle. Tires pickup all debris in the first 2000 miles or so...they r sticky. Also dont be surprised if they wear out quick. If they do ,u call michellin and they will send u to a shop tire kingdom ,firestone to measure the treads ,if they r in 3.5 or below ,they will sell u new ones at 30% or so discount. Also if u hear wind noise ,while driving ,its the side view mirror that needs to be replaced. Be prepared to wash this car very often ,as the brakes release a lot of dust on calipers and wheels. Front Passenger seats might be uncomfortable if u r a big guy

    The US gets hosed...we get so much more in our Premium version, barely worth comparing the Elantra (i30 N Sedan here) to the Kona N Premium. The Kona wins hands down here.

    Kona N for me too.. I needed a hatchback for my dogs. Plus I love really small hot cars. I find the suspension really really stiff for daily driving..

    The US got screwed over with the Kona. In the EU we get better rims, HUD, seat heating/ventilation and a few more perks I think.

    Great review of both the Kona and Elantra N, however when you were speaking of established "N history," you failed to mention that the Veloster N has been around since 2019. It, single handedly had already established a little N cred of it's own before the birth of it's Niblings.

    The newage aggressive mystique you see is kind of bothersome, particularly with taillight patterns, the Kona N, nice front. Back? Some mutated enlarged fly insect. Elantra N nice color scheming but too many intracies with the cheap webbing of grill tbh, plus, guy looks around 5'10 and car only gives a couple more inches headroom for us taller drivers this is a no deal. The miata gives you better clearance dimensions refinement but their back lights could have been less incongruent imo. Front lights are easier for manufacturers to make balanced apparently.

      You're only getting 5-10 more horses with the 2.5T than the 2.0T in the Kona and Elantra, but you pretty much lose it in the larger size and heavier weight of the K5.

    I'm going to sum it up in one irritated post, can we KEEP the aggressive stylizations BUT KEEP the refinement...you'll ALL sell more vehicles. I dont understand it its like we're all identity confused consumers that need busy styling to distract us from true reality what ploying and its super irritating for us balanced more mature people that aren't discombobulated for a livng

    Personally I vote for the Kona. The elantra is hideous (to me), although the interior is definitely nicer. I also prefer a hatch to a sedan anyday. In a perfect world, Hyundai would have given the Veloster N the elantra interior, and that would be the perfect car for me, but the Kona is a good second.

    Kona N looks so much better to me. The Elantra N is just an eye sore to me. Cannot get over how ugly it is. I’ve seen it in person and it looks worse to me than pictures.
