hi, i know this is a few years old now but just wanted to say thanks for this - not including getting jacked up & wheel off i think i had the belt changed in about 2 minutes thanks to watching this video.
That's cool, you're welcome bro.
Thanks for the tip on using the 14mm and the torque wrench. This is going to make this job way easier.
Corey Garcia no problem just go easy when applying pressure and it will work fine. thanks for taking the to watch the video
Thanks for making and sharing that video. I would have most likely over-torqued that top idler pully bolt and broken the brittle cast bracket, so many thanks for that warning. 16 lb.ft or approx 22 N.m
Awww bollocks!! I forgot to loop it round the a/c pulley... hehehe made me laugh :D
well done sir. very good and informative video
Great video and Thank you for saving me a lot of time :-) I watched it a twice and did belt, idler and tensioner pulley in about 30 minutes. 10 of those minutes was wasted trying to get the little nut to thread on to the tensioner pulley bolt. I didn't even realize there was a nut until I tried to remount the new pulley. Lucky for me it landed a only a few inches below and was easy to find.
Unicorn Tribe thanks for watching 😎
Spot on, this helped big time
Great vid, helped me with some tips and pointers that would have made my idler change mildly annoying! Thank you
Byron Viljoen many thanks. I'm glad it helped you out. did you use the tip about the open ended spanner and wrench?
I did indeed, made it a whole lot easier than I had thought it was going to be. Also the over tightening would have happened if not for the vid :)
Very good demonstration , thanks!
Thanks this helped loads!
very helpful video, thanks m8.
glad you found it useful. Hopefully you don't make the same mistakes I did
Thank you!
cheers mate good vid
Thanks Mike hope you found it helpful
Thanks for the tip to ease the tensioner, you legend!
Thanks for your time mate
You're most welcome, I'll be re launching the channel soon
Threading is a bit easier if you remove the headlight too, mate. Great vid though.
Thank you 👊
good job thank you so much .....
Probably not going to be able to set the belt on the lowest pulleys without getting access underneath! Guess I'll be buying a jack and stand, it's about time anyways. Thanks for video!
Thank you sir
My belt is slightly riding the outer edge of the idler pulley. K20a type r jdm. I think the guy who swapped it was in a rush, back to shop
Seems like the new belt takes some damage during the install
Nice video mate! What's the risk if these snap then? Mine is looking worn and starting to squeak a bit so I need to get it done ASAP
No risk to your engine pal although I don't think you would be able to drive it far hopefully you would have enough battery charge for it to get you home
Big_Gooch cheers for the timely reply, that's good to know, I'll get it sorted thanks to this vid. Thanks man
Should of done a before and after so we can here the difference. Nice vid
+benjamin2kbl Thank brother. It certainly made a difference. I miss that car badly
Buy another you fool ;)
Hey mate! Does the engine have to be in tdc to change this belt? Thanks in advance
No pal absolutely not, it's purely for the ancillaries.
Think it's the same for the ep3s that aren't type r?
Isaac Avalos yea it's all fairly standard across most cars once the belt is slack it's a simple case of threading the belt around the pulleys. just go easy with the tensioner
What's the belt part number?
38920-PRA-013. Providing yours has a/c and is pre facelift. You're welcome.
@@big_gooch1601 so helpful otherwise wouldn't of even thought of trying this myself but nw I will
