ep3 short shifter install (buddy club shifter)

Hey guys! This video will show you how to install the buddy club short shifter in a EP3 honda civic..... There is actually a lot happening when removing the short shifter, so you could also use the video to see how to remove the shifter boot, remove the radio dash, and how to install the a shift knob too.

For future reference any of you getting and installing new shifter cables , attach them on to the shifter assembly then run them through the car and bolt the shifter assembly to the car .

Good video thanks,one thing I did to get cable boots back on easier was pull out ashtray,and 4 screws and the metal tray flips up so can get hand in there.

How is the feeling after the install? My stock one has a ton of play. New linkage cables have been installed, and still tons of play. Any insight would be awesome! Thanks man.

i replaced the cables but i can't go into gear i forgot if the cable with the big hole goes on the left or right help.!!!!

oh by the way... my OEM shifter looks like it had some greased areas and it moved much smother.... should you put a little bit of it because the new one looks dry and its really stiff...?

Egidijus Kajeta yes you should! I went back and added white lithium grease where the plastic on the shifter cable and shifter meet up.

I love it! As some others mentioned. You might want to lube the plastic pieces where the cable connects to the shifter. I went back and did it afterwards bc it was a tad bit stiff ans sticky as first. Other than that the short throws make it really nice on top of the already excellent placement of the center column shifter.

there might be 2 screws at the bottom of the big cubic radio bracket that will keep it from coming out if you're doing this for the fist time fyi

I have 6 speed swap for my ep3, if i did thise would i lose my 6 speed?

I also did a 6 speed swap. It works since it's based off the CTR shifter.
