And your present self (at the time you were at the gym doing those exercises) liked it too, because it made your body feel good to stretch, get your blood flowing, muscles & joints moving, etc.
This resonates with me. I’m trying to claw my way out of depression and bad habits after my husband died. Perhaps I can make the changes I need to move forward. At 72 it’s easy to concentrate on the long life behind me and not see happiness and value in the time I have left. This was a valuable and timely message, Chase! Thank you
This morning I didn't feel like working out and I thought of your teaching on “get ahead of yourself”. I said my future self will appreciate that I did. And I got the work out in. Thanks for your actionable teaching style
I've found it very difficult to think about future as trauma made me stuck in survival mode from I'm a kid. However, practice, practice practice made me so much more prepared for future me.... Although future me, isn't the same me as I was in the past. 😊
I do this! Didn't know it was a thing. I like to do nice things for my future self...and it's always a pleasant surprise because I forget I did the task 😅
I make my bed every morning begore I leave my bedroom even if after showering and dressing. I try to look at each room and how it looks neat. Getting in bed at night is always pleasant. Your r ight! I didnt know how much i actully like me. My garage is a nightmare. I start on it too. Thanks
I always make my bed as soon as Im up in the morning. I do this to ensure that I have a nice restful tidy area to enter into that I made to make sure I’m taken care at the end of my day good or not so great days are finished with the caring of f myself where I feel taken care of and. I’m cosy ❤
I'm chronically ill so I get to be the Butler, Disciplinarian, and NURSE to myself. It means the tasks I get accomplished per day are so small compared to what a healthy person does, but it IS taking care of Future Self. The issue comes with the judgment from others who see you as making little to no progress, but with an incurable condition, the best you can hope for is maintenance. That IS progress. But in our "grind-based" society, you're seen as a failure. My life would be a thousand times better if I had human help every now and then, but that's seen as "enabling me" or "selfish" in our modern culture. I wish I lived in a more communal versus individualistic society.
This was beautifully put. I wish you the very best of health & happiness in your life and hope you attain the assistance and human compassion you deserve.
THANKS CHASE! My primary care physician said I should try Methylene Blue yesterday! He a dr to the Denver Broncos and he never heard of Methylene Blue He asked what dose you would start at
A while back I watched one of your videos where you talked about getting your coffee ready for the morning and then saying "Chase will be so pleased with you". I was intrigued by this concept and thought I'd give it a try. I try everyday to apply this in my life at least once a day. I giggle everytime I say Colleen will be so pleased with you. And Chase, it's become impossible for me to be grumpy about doing something that used to bug me. Thank you!
That is a great way to think about things. Most of us don't but as you say, start small. Thank you for your time in presenting us with things that actually make you think about things. ❤
The same for saving money for retirement and your own elder care, when everyone else (who’s broke) says, “Why are you saving all that money, you can’t take it with you”🙄
I'm almost 60, and I approve this message.
Truly is. Love the analogy of "be your own Butler."
My future self appreciates the fact that I went to the gym yesterday and pushed myself to try some extra exercises.
And your present self (at the time you were at the gym doing those exercises) liked it too, because it made your body feel good to stretch, get your blood flowing, muscles & joints moving, etc.

Thank you, Chase. Some days, I have to push myself, even though I know it's the next right thing for me. Out the door to the gym.

My past self is very irresponsible with money so I totally agree.

Me, loading the dishwasher tonight,as ugh as it is, I'm tired and who cares? Me in the morning, "Oh!"😊
The same for saving money for retirement and your own elder care, when everyone else (who’s broke) says, “Why are you saving all that money, you can’t take it with you”🙄
My past self couldnt have possibly known my current self 😂
🔥
Im short do the little things and be responsable
❤
I call this my Jeeves list.
future self is already praying to God for present self...LOL I make myself laugh sometimes.
I can't figure out people who keep their house and stuff so pristine yet smoke and pollute the most important part
Call me Jeeves but always say it nicely.
Chase must be a guy that takes care of himself. If he had the hairline of a 20 year old I’d think he was 20. 💇
My future self is dead, so he don't care.
I love this.
❤
