That's going toward my territory. New mow diesels for SEPTA that also sport HEP generators. This is 4th of about 5-6 on order to replace the existing diesels except 80
That's so cool JT, Like a Plane Banking to the Right, Goes to show just how important it is for Track Works. The Expertise of these Track Assessment Unit Teams are First Class when it comes to checking the angle of bank in terms of the Rails themselves. Brilliant Photography, Right Position for the Perfect Take. Thankyou for this... John
SEPTA just raised our fares as of December 1st. Good to see they are getting something for the money going into the till. Even if it is going to commuter rail and not to city transit division. Always like a new loco!
That’s an awesome Catch! I ride Septa but where I live is only one bus route and it’s Monday through Saturday Service. Septa Stands for Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
That is a nice curve with the train leaning in especially the old Hopper cars. With SEPTA being the commuter rail system in Philadelphia they do have some equipment like this that works on their ballast and Rail trains. Some of them should have been produced by Brookville locomotive works over the years however being in that area did it pay a stop at Progressive Rail especially if it needed work on a Caterpillar prime mover. That was a fantastic catch and even if it came from another locomotive repair shop it's time to head home
The one shipped prior had no papers. Was bounced around between Philly area and south jersey before being dropped off at septa Norristown elm st station where the ns Trenton cut off joins in at on Sunday
Don't panic. That is a normal super elevated curve. The compression of the telephoto lens exacerbates it. Do yourself a favour if you can and watch the Pentrex video ( referring to my old VHS tape ) on the Union Pacific 6900 DDA40X Centennials. There is a great shot of a big Jack leaning into a super elevated curve. I absolutely love it and the Centennials.Thinking of a good example of super elevation think NASCAR. I hope that helps some. Retired locomotive driver ( engineer ) from Australia.
When I see septa I think South Eastern Pennsylvania transportation authority. NS has a big yard near Philly under the turnpike. But I'm sure I'm wrong.
@JawTooth in the old days it was the PRR...50s early 60s still had a few steam locomotives pulling up some pretty good grades..you could hear them miles away..thanks for all your videos...brings back memories 😀
sorry to burst your bubble but that's Not an NS Heritage Unit at all if that's what you meant if not I'm sorry but that's just a regular SEPTA loco heading to where ever it's gotta go I imagine
I saw a CSX & NS lashup the day after gobble gobble day in College Grove tn. I filmed it and I tried to upload it but youtube is doing something with the quality of my videos & roont it and I have no clue what to do but... it COULD have been really cool. I was so bewildered. I couldn't pay attention. I was like "¿WHaT Are YOOOOu doing HERe!?"

He broke down. It was embarrassing for him to ask, but he asked NS to tow him to his next location😂
Showing off coming around that bend!
I ride Septa to work. Must be getting a new loco.

That's a Switch/ Commuter Engine for the Philadelphia Transit
Extra small power JT lol 😊
What a beautiful site!!
Must be power for SEPTA maintenance equipment. I guess it’s getting dropped off in Philly.
The third locomotive is being delivered to SEPTA (they ordered another diesel for MOW service)
This is so obvious what is happening. It is interesting to look at but it is actually just another delivery of goods.
Awesome catch right there Brian, i love SEPTA, cool they are getting a new MOW loco
Thanks! That was cool to see it in my area. I never saw them before
That curve looks way banked like leaning way over.
Looks like a nice place to stringline a train
I thought that😮

Unusual DPU there.
Interesting catch. Maybe it ran away from home to play with big trains? Thanks for sharing. 👍

Now that is a weird catch JT!

Phila. Transit train!
When I see septa I think South Eastern Pennsylvania transportation authority. NS has a big yard near Philly under the turnpike. But I'm sure I'm wrong.
No, you are correct. That is what it stands for. I don't know how it wound up over here though
Pretty cool to see an engine from my area..I live just outside Philly
That's awesome!

Wow! Where is that engine from? I’ve never seen an engine like that!
The Philadelphia area
Very beautiful ❤️
Thank you! 😊
I saw that in king of Prussia
Nice
Wooha look at that Septa EMD-CE-38-2 Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit #3
Never saw a diesel electric in the ten years I lived across from the Bristol train station. They were all electric.
That’s interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Septa ony uses diesels mainly for maintenance or sometimes to rescue an electric.
It's going for the ride.🙂
The third one was in bluefield few days ago did not get to see it but saw post on facebook
Wow, it was making a tour
Started from factory, best way to get to,the final destination.
3rd loco’s a diesel for commuter agency SEPTA
Yeah jawtooth why is that locomotive there?? That’s weird. 🤔
Maybe they just painted it and sending it back to SE
Awesome
that would be SPAX 93
I bet it's in transit from a rebuild
Shouldn't the the SEPTA locomotive be placed in the middle of the consist since it doesn't have alignment control couplers? 🤔
Ilove new paint jobs on locomotive s
Same here!
Cool
In-transit.
Maybe septa is making a new locomotive

I uploaded a 9 minute video the other evening and it took 3 hours to upload. 🙄
Cool I saw a ns and union pacific lashup
@@NeeandMarie I saw a CSX and a BNSF lashup about an hour ago in West Virginia.
I once saw a CSX, CN and Citirail lashup in LaGrange, Ky. I even once saw an NS DPU on a CSX train.
It's Just Commuting
That was only one long one short and one long... It's supposed to be two long one short one long

South Eastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority
Holy crap that’s insane why was it from all the way in New Jersey?
