- Silverstone Auctions next big sale is this Saturday 12th January at the Autosport Show at the NEC and I was these on set-up day to do a quick preview of some of the cars there in the sale. The thing i love most about these videos is that i get enthusiastic about cars i normally really couldn't care less about because of the presentation Harry does. Great vid.

The SLR hasn't aged a day. Still looks gorgeous.
Wow! That Ducati brings back some memories! I remember seeing one for the first time on the street decades ago when I was still a young man and thinking it was stunning, a dream bike! The best looking one I’d ever seen up until that point. Still great looking today, but that headlight design does date it somewhat.
Harry gets excited about proper cars and he's a joy to listen to, the appreciation and depth is unique.
I used to get to drive a 1973 2.7 Carrera, although not the RS. Friend's father had one, along with a 3.3 Turbo. Amazingly enough, he used to let me drive them. Amazing cars for their day, absolute treats to drive.

Great choices Harry. I fancy that Z3 GT3 or that TVR, both brutish. Mind you, that 12C at that price - if all its gremlins have been sorted, is a properly rapid car, for 100K. But the RS 2.7 has got to be the no. 1 choice. Race it all over the world. Nice.
Great video. I love Harry’s presentation and general knowledge of the cars. Always interesting to see such a varied mix of vehicles and get some idea of current values. I was shocked at the low guide price of the Ducati. Can we have more of these features please.

Hi Harry, thanks for the video, I wonder if you would consider a very brief follow up after one of these auctions, where you show a quick glimpse of the model and then the price it sold for at the auction, so we can see how close the guide prices were and how far off our own pockets are? I am surprised by the "low" guided price of the SLR
Me too. I have been told they are expensive to run.
I have seen regular SLR's being offered for as low as € 150k some years ago. A 722 on the other hand may command as much as 300k. Add another 30% for the Roadster version. And yeah, spare parts for the SLR's cost a fortune.

I suppose so. After all, this is not only a supercar, but also a rare one (no MP4-12C, Ferrari V8, ...)

I never expected them to be so "cheap". The running costs may be enormous, but for a truly rare (even the "normal" version is leaps and bounds above the MP4-12C in terms of being "special") supercar, it is quite a steal
Remember the sale price is + 15 % buyers fee & then a further 20% tax on top of the buyers fee.
I'll be sure to check my lotto tickets on Friday

Everything in that mustang yells avoid. Wish I could of visited the ASI this year, it is an absolute must for every petrolhead. Well worth the flight.

Nice content like always. The Ducati seems to be a Bargain. The MC12 is good priced but you don`t want to run it long term. The 911s are sadly out of reach for the average guy now. The Z4 Racecar would be great as track day car. Maybe with some Numberplates on it to go to track and back. :-D - The Renault 5 Turbo would be great fun too.
That alfa and z4 gt3 seem like an absolute bargain. Those z4s were so successful in their time. You should give that alfa a shot ( Although im hoping that the 105 chasis keeps going up and up)
