I recently got back into skating at the age of 36 because of them after 20 years of not skating. One thing they never say is to wear pads when you first start or get back into skating. I sprained my wrist a month ago and it only recently healed enough to where I was comfortable getting back on a board. Don't be like me and buy pads the day after you sprain your wrist. Go get some right now, you can get them for 20 bucks for knee, elbow, and wrist pads at walmart. Be careful, you're not a teenager anymore and falling hurts a lot more in your 30s.

I used to shove it like Aaron with the toes curled on the edge. Board would always flip and I would fall. I instantly gained dank shove its by popping directly in the middle of the board. It’s what Nigel does too. Keeps the board flat and allows for nice pop. 👍

I swear I legit learn everything opposite when it comes to skating. Instead of being able to do normal pop shuvs, I can only do frontside shuvs. Instead of kickflips, I can only heelflip. Instead of normal big spins, I can only get close to landing them frontside. Won’t be surprised when lasers end up coming easier to me than tre flips.

Today was the day I landed my very first shove it! It's because of Braille reminding me that skateboarding is just about having fun that got me back into skating a few months ago. Before, I skated a little bit and could ollie when I was a pre teen but didn't skate for years until a few months ago. Thanks to Braille, it motivated me to get back on and now I have at least one shove it under my belt! Also, the multiple videos on the same trick really is helpful because it sometimes helps to hear something explained multiple ways.

because you dont need to use your front foot, you basically do an ollie like push with your back foot, but u don't go straight down you go at a slight angle to make it rotate. hard part is keeping the board level. its a little harder then an ollie cause if you only know ollies you probably might not have learned how to rotate your board yet.

I just landed my first ever skate trick yesterday. It was a shove it. Still struggling with my ollie, but working on it! Thank you for these videos, they help sooooooo much! Love how broken down the steps are!!

Majority of us already skate and yes the meme is "Once you're comfertable riding" but make a street video with the guys talking about what they did to first get the confidence to be able to ollie or send it down a 5 stair, just showing them street skate around and give tips to boost confidence,
just think it would help people get out and ride more rather then try tricks after a few days of riding and not knowing why they cant land it

Don't forget to wear pads. I recently started skating again at the age of 36 after not skating for 20 years and sprained my wrist because I made one tiny mistake and landed on the tail when doing an ollie. The board shot out from under me and I was on the ground before I knew it was happening. Pads are only 20 bucks for a set of knee, elbow, and wrist pads at walmart. Protect yourself so you can continue skating without having to wait for an injury to heal. Be smart and have fun.

Thank you! Able to pull it off the grass today and learned why you have to keep the front foot flat to keep the board from rotating (I fell backwards due to landing primo) lol

If you wanna hear from a beginner for me the pop shuv is so much more easy than back 180 or front 180 but that's just me I would recommend Aaron's way
