I think the problem with the La Liga ball, and other dark balls, is when they're in the air they can blend in with the stands behind, and if they're in a player's shadow they can be hard to see. They're probably quite awkward to track high in the air during night games as well.

Well there’s really no way to form a flat sheet onto a ball without some imperfections so using hexagons probably wouldn’t help too much

am i the only person who remembers him making a video about finding his old club football?? ive been looking for it but i cant find it
using clear latex to make hexagon panels, stitch them together and fill with air. In theory would work but i know there would be challenges with the material and allowing it to act as a ball but im sure its possible, since the majority of a ball is air which is transparent so with aa transparent shell........
At the end of this video I almost believed I knew something about soccer
you can use like plastic material but as light enters it it bends so its visible but if u can make it that light enters straight bends but exits the ball straight that might do it
you probably need to contact jlaser or the hacksmiths if you want a real invisible football, they are the ones who will get it done

Couldn’t you just get a transparent beach ball and fill it with grass with some air inside? I think the grass would blend in with the playing field and give it a cushiony feel, whilst the air provides bounce.
