Anything ‘special’ from New Riff is harder to get than EH Taylor of Blanton’s up here. I can get the Single Barrel and standard stuff on occasion. I’ve been trying two+ years to find a bottle of their Winter Blend at MSRP.
Yep, a batched product-same mash bill as their flagship bourbon. Surprising not bottled in bond (distilled over two separate seasons I believe). But 100 proof and no chill filtration. Hope that helps. Cheers!

I was actively looking for this earlier this week but it hadn't made it to MN and WI yet. I will keep trying. However, I did pick up the new New Riff 7 Year Single Malt. It is really good! It was a pretty impressive consolation prize for sure!
I was gonna get down there to get one but it’s a 3 hour drive south for me. I’ll wait til it gets to the shelf in my area or if my bourbon buddies wanna do a road I did get their special release rye and it’s incredible.
You are lucky to live so close to Newport. I have been to New Riff Distillery and bought a few bottles. I have never been disappointed with anything from them but I haven't opened the sour mash single malt yet. My favourite is their Balboa rye. I am curious about the bottle you just reviewed. You mentioned 100 proof but is it also Bottled in Bond?
Not interested. I've been disappointed with every New Riff bottle I've tried. I'll take a Dickel 15 yr single barrel at near cask strength for $55 instead.

I think New Riff is great but they do have a more distinct profile. Glad you can find the Dickel so easily and enjoy it. Cheers!
