Dude wowwww this is probably the one and only Hunter video as far as movement and stuff like that where I’m like genuinely impressed. I’ve been a hunter main since destiny 1 taken king launch and I’m a fairly average pvp player but I had no idea how about a lot of this stuff. Huge shout out for this man keep up the good work!
Bro I said it once with many others, you're going to blow TF up in 2021, literally your year, much deserved too. You're really informative, know your stuff and you seem pretty humble.
Wallah, many thanks for your efforts and input. I heard of you before but lately a few clan members said your making youtube more often. I've come into the fps game a little old. But saying that I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Amd your way of showing us tips tricks and how you play has been top draw for myself. Thank you. Your very talented and your aim is on point. Please keep the content coming.
Great video for new hunters! As a person with years of experience as a hunter main I've watched tons of videos since D1 so this is all stuff I knew. But for new hunters who thought they were actually the slowest class will gain a new appreciation for the class and it's movement
My movement has always been my top game its just my positioning and the fact that I don't play very smart that screws me. Would love to see something on that.
I’ve been a hunter since d1 and I never knew about any of this, I thought stomp-335 were basically useless. This changes my perspective on them entirely.
How in gods name have you been playing hunter for this long and despite literally every destiny UA-camr that plays hunter in any fashion whatsoever talking about stompees you somehow thought they were useless. Genuinely confused as there’s no way you couldn’t have known.
@@TerraTheWise First of all, I didn’t bother watching or checking up when I started, and wasn’t interested in looking stuff up besides guides until recently. Second of all, I don’t care whether or not you’re confused. Be toxic about it elsewhere.
This is actually very helpful for someone who never knew about the ceiling trick even though im a hunter main, will definently be practicing some of this stuff now
Out of all the destiny youtubers I’ve watched, this guide has helped me the most. Thank you. I’m already good without this, but implementing this movement into my gameplay is about to take me to new levels.
@wallah i dont know if im alone in this but would love a video on how to get better with the weighted knife / show us some sick spots for knifes in 3s / 6s ect
here a couple of ideas 1. How to engage fights? and when to disengage? situational but you can always use your scrim VODs and do a commentary on them. 2. How playing trials differs from playing QP and the different mindsets. 3. Positioning and how to approach lanes in most maps. Plus, baiting shotguns and abilities ...etc The ABCs for you might be a new insight for those who just press W and run in to shotgun. most content creators covered these topics, but having your input in these will be good and you can't go wrong since you have a wealth of experience . Just Yollo it
A video about how to behave in 3v3 (or even just PVP in general) matches when playing with Hunter would be a nice one to cover with your personal thoughts and skills from a pro player. We appreciate your effort and hard work to bring new content and tips like that including this one. 👊🏼
For video ideas, you're one of the only top tier players who seems to intentionally spec into resilience. Would be interesting to hear your take on whether that's more useful to you than other people because you're so good at using your movement to give yourself extra time to recover, or whether it's actually an overlooked strategy by most people.
Through watching your trials streams I've picked up on the use of downward stairs, hills etc., But I didn't know about holding spacebar to get more height. Thank you! I've not seen anyone else ever speak on that!!
This was really nice. As I watched I kept thinking of what I could do in each of those scenarios *whallahee* Video idea: Hunter Jump Routes on different maps. You can just have some catchy music in the back ground. I did this once for Titanfall 2 using the Grapple Hook :)
Hey wallah I think you should have also included the fact that you can hold ur inItial jump (the jump before the actual strafe jump) and this can help to get even more momentum and hight. Also should have included some goofy head hitters like for example... javelin Dimond door head hitters etc. another thing I think which is very vital for every character but most importantly hunters is slide redirection when you have all that momentum and then to slide another direction
Considering hunter rn, although not having BL definitely makes other classes harder to learn atm. With the power of stasis and then tryintk figure out my new characters, recently loaded up my Titan and he's pretty fun but I want to dip into the Hunter arena as well, if not to main them then to at least learn how to better counter them and get in their headspace. This was super useful though, here's a sub
Damn i never realized how much i was already doing this without even thinking about it i just always did this without no one teaching me the only things i did not know is the angles in the doors that make u go forward and i run tripple jump not strafe jump i also didint know u could go that far forward from jumping high and landing and jumping again on slanted down hills so I’ll consider those things trying to move around the map thanks wallah 🙏🏻
For someone who is new, they might think this is a bit all over the place. I am a more adept player and I understood this and definitely learned to make routes. Just a bit of minor criticism, it was kinda everywhere and fast paced lol.
Great video. However a few notes: the dodge is also incredibly powerful and must not be understated. High mobility allows for faster strafe, higher jump, and for hunters a faster dodge cooldown. IMO the most important stat on hunter. The utilization of the dodge is also important for hunter movement because it allows for quick disengagement or re-engagement of a fight. Overall great tips though.
If you hold jump on any character even warlock and titan on the very first jump you go higher but it won’t work on the glide ability jumps for them, also on hunters if you hold each jumps upto their peaks it goes even higher
Been a warlock main since D1 but have been really considering diving more into my Hunter beyond using it to grind out pinnacles and higher power weapons. Always thought it was really fun in crucible due to the mobility but this is a whole new level.
Do a bait guide, like movement that can bait your opponent into doing something that can give you advantage... an example could be like when you jump with a hunter one time with your shotgun towards the enemy which makes them think you are apeing so they pull their shotgun out and then you use your second jump to jump backwards and switch to your primary and kill them while they cant do anything cause they have a shotgun in a long distance fight. I know its like a basic example of a bait but im sure you know a lot more you could teach us.
I think triple jump with stompees are better than with a strafe jump, having triple jump with stompees feels like 2 normal strafe jumps also the second jump plays an important role in directional control, the strafe jump I think it’s for more one direction aggressive push plays so yeah I recommend for people to use triple jump with stompees if you’re not using stompees I recommend strafe jump
Amazing video and content! The community needs more stuff like this The audio levels of the gameplay were a bit high tho, at times it was tough to understand what you were saying
Keep it up Wallah! Been watching you since D1 tourneys. Maybe make a vid on how to pick engagements in 3v3 environments like comp or scrims, and when to disengage. Game sense stuff
Great content Wallah! I subbed and started watching ever since you smoked me and some friends on quick play. I think you could also add some tips and tricks for hunter movement while in the air and stuff, how to confuse your opponents when in close quarters things like that. I know when I see you play even I’m confused on your movement!
Bro you should walk us through the thought process on how to hit snipes in air. Like where you’re aiming depending on which direction you’re moving and how distance plays a part in how much you compensate.
Stompies are so powerful that when I first put then on after a long period of orpheus rig maining, I could not succeed a single jump and overshot it all because my muscle memory with the normal jumping was still there. That's why I run stompies in every activity, PvP or PvE, they do not come off; because they are probably the most "powerful" neutral game exotic on hunter.
finally a wallah hunter movement vid 🚨❗️ only thing i dislike about using control jump is that you cant activate the quickdraw glitch twice while in the air..
This video was super helpful as a hunter main. I was wondering though if you could go more in depth about your advanced movement as a shorty hunter because I am curious about how you use shatterdive defensively and offensively. You also have very quick flicks when I it come to directional dodging.
Dude, a good video series I’d watch is you doing some commentary over trials matches or just difficult matches/1v1s and why you made each play or why you died etc. Would be super helpful
I've found that not many people know about angled surfaces. In pve runs I always find myself outpacing everyone just because of this trick. It's actually very similar to halo 3 back in the day. I didn't know about the ceiling one though.
Great Video dude, keep it up. Really glad i found your channel. Im intrested about your opinion on which class you think is the most powerful for pvp and what you think about titan/warlock.
