I did some testing on prismatic energy generation a few weeks back and found that energy gains were damage based with a cap per-frame. So pellet shotguns (or cerberus+1) look like lots of damage, but they all hit in the same frame, so they suck. But fusion rifles spread their damage over multiple frames so are great (with the exception of Coriolis Force, a weird fusion rifle that does all damage in a single frame, it's terrible). I'm confident that super generation is working the same way. This is why weapons like Kvostov and Outbreak are great, they do lots of damage, but spread out over many frames. I think your video lines up with that theory, thanks for all of the data/examples!
@@purepatient9559 Le Monarque wasn't one of the weapons I'd tested. This is the spreadsheet, and columns T,U,V,W show the prismatic generation results: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Vg3nMCaAQUvYhRYNSKv2hyzt01mFOTNruJns0ZQDZEg/edit?usp=sharing
Multimach w/ Attrition Orbs, Kinetic Tremors, the new Synergy weapon mod, and Kinetic Siphon has been my recent favorite. Running it with Briarbinds-Novawarp for an Orb generation + Super build. Echo of Harvest, Echo of Reprisal, Power Preservation, Dynamo, Firepower, Heavy Handed, Reaper, and Distribution. Tons and tons of orbs with at least one super for every round in Onslaught. Like, similar number of Orbs to the amount of kills earned. The only way I could improve the number is if I grind for an Attrition Orbs Velocity Baton but playing with people is scary.
BadJuju better on NON-roaming supers, that recharge 1/3 as much from dealing damage. Since it gives energy on kills, something which the other mentioned weapons cant do.
@@NeonBanshee00should be part of the lightfall expansion. imo it’s very fun if you know the encounters you’re walking into are close range, since its a primary sidearm and the lockon mechanic is very short range. Huckleberry with intrinsic heating up + rampage with kinetic tremors on the catty......... easily up there with Outbreak. Chuck on Peacekeepers for that extra sub damage...... and it will convert yellow bars into super bar, especially in add dense events.
Side note for Thorn: On Warlock, you can spread the DoT to other enemies with Necrotic Grips, which helps a lot with keeping the ticks rolling (it also works with Ostio Striga if that's more your speed, but c'mon. Thorn's cooler). Also Revision Zero my beloved. Any excuse to use it is more than welcome.
The Stasis 900rpm SMG world drop with Rewind and Deconstruct shoots like 150 smg shots without pause and regens super insanely fast, does less dps than Outbreak (not sure how it stacks when you have PKs on though)
Risk runner does it the fastest. With minimal setup you can get a sub 16 second super from just shooting one enemy. Use peacekeepers for more dmg, proc arc conductor with a pulse grenade for more dmg and infinite ammo, and then just start shooting. If you are in a team you can get a 5~ second super if the boss you are shooting at is debuffed with tractor and you are empowered via lumina&and Well.
Anarchy! Applies KT and Weaken too! I love using it with the hunter Strand roaming super to fill both my Transcend bars up together! And Transcend with Hoil+Cyrta+Baton+Multimach prints orbs like no other, which I value for Survivability. Secret little tip, pairing the Strandsuper with WintersShroud allows you to stun 2 Champ types with ur infinite dodges in super 😂
Huckleberry: with cat you get kinetic tremors and it reloads after every kill, I have a built with stormbracer and get super in like 10 secs in a crowded room
I'm wondering if guns in D2 have a hidden "proc coefficient" stat for super and transcendence regen, like abilities have for items Risk of Rain for example. It's supposed to be based on "damage events," but if that was solely the case, weapons like Tarrabah and legendary machine guns should blow everything else out of the water. And a weapon like Khvostov shouldn't be as high above everything else as it is. I remember they made a change to make lower rpm weapons more viable to use with Thread of Generation, so there's at least been a similar lever they've been able to pull for that in the past
I'll say manticore have been insane when you just lay into a target while being in the air, its exotic perk autoloads the mag constantly while granting overshields and make enemy AI unable to land hits on you accurately, its actually a buff to your survivability rather than making it risky. Been loving this on Peacekeeper titan having constant Sentinel Shield super and just destroying endgame pve
This is fire. Also risk runner is amazing for this vs dense adds, and area denial frames as well, despite having the crappy special scaling, they spam damage ticks.
Noticed in GMs the other day when using a KT scout (i hate this season's barriers) that KT damage events were giving a lot back for arc staff per tick. obv multimach does well w/ smg fire rate and attrition orbs, but I'm also sitting on a demo/KT bygones for the times you need unstop instead of overload (esp on an arc build, go figure) gonna try to test it out tomorrow and see how it feels; exotic slot taken up by bloodline to make up for arc's piss poor survivability w/o cowl.
good video 👍. i subscribe 👍 Graviton Lance with doomfang has been awesome for abusing the hell out of sentinel shield since it’s overtuned to all hell lol.
hierarchy of needs gave a good amount before this patch so I wonder if that's a good option. I haven't tested it, bit it's 3 arrows per draw with the Ring
Just something to note use peace keepers somethibg to note is that you gain super based off of DAMAGE and rate of dmg done meaning tarrabah is crazy i was able to get my full super bar in less than 10 seconds
bad juju has been my go to for 50 wave . the huge aoe on every third kill makes it also nice for grouped up adds . and my super seems to be ready every 2-3 rounds
Yarovit MG4 with Rewind Rounds and Deconstruct allows for an insanely long stream of bullets to be fired and in my testing is by far the best weapon solely for quickly getting super energy. Is it the best weapon overall? It's tough to beat things like Outbreak Perfected but overload SMGs are a thing this season.
Idk man. Tarrabah for me on Solar Titan was really helping with that super gain, especially with sunspots and the ramped up damage. Maybe I'm wrong tho...
Bad juju? think that would be the bar and is anything better Also would be interested in seeing braytech werewolf with kinetic tremors and rewind rounds.
The key you didn't explained is DAMAGE OVER TIME. This is why outbreak is s-Tier against high health target because of nanites. Of course you need rewind + catalist. But for ad clear, kvostov is the clear winner. Another exo, especialy this season, ANARCHY (DoT) +VS Baton with attrition. You're welcome ;-)

That's very comprehensive. Interesting post.
Maybe not exactly frame-based in that way (i.e. same frame because of examples like Tarrabah), but this is certainly a good approximation.
Did you by any chance test le monarque? It seems bugged it was giving way way way less light energy a regular bow, even when fired I to a crowd

One thing to add is that breaking enemy elemental shields with a weapon matching their element will net you a HUGE amount of super energy.
Does adaptive munitions and/or disruptive break add anything?

Should point out that rewind rounds on outbreak is *chefs kiss*
Try final warning. It's a sidearm that hits more like a fusion rifle and it really generates the super energy fast!
One of the highest DPS primaries in the game
Where can I get it? And also is it worth losing either outbreak, the new d.o.t grenade launcher or my freezing trace rifle in my primary?

The Omolon Yarovit is the best legendary for super gains (against bosses). It has deconstruct and rewind rounds
