Discipline is also cheaper in the armor mods (+10 is 3 energy opposed to +4 for resil), and I personally think Recov isn't that important, even as a warlock main I usually run nothing more than tier 7

The system is definitely ready for another rework in some shape or form. It’s unintuitive and detracts all value from any armour drops once we’ve acquired the stats we want on any single gear set beyond collecting ornaments. Xur sometimes gives really good spiked armor stats but, depends on ur class. Xur also has the easiest way of getting exotics which is by farming the Devils Lair Strike which drops the most Strange Coins
I watch so many of your videos and I'm 1000 hours into the game but goddamn, this game is some kind of science, everyday there's something new to learn :D That's why I enjoy D2 so much. I knew about the above 65 armor and stat brackets but I kept those balanced armor pieces + the spike ones. Guess I'll have to clean ym inventory today
When you’re using d2 armor picker, id recommend selecting “assume armor is master worked” it just makes it easier. Also, if he equip armor doesn’t work, you can copy it into dim and paste it there, and then equip the armor pieces into your slots
Thanks for the video man! i had all the resources to make the stat upgrade but had no idea on how to really focus a stat. i am finally ready for more late game content with my clan
Unless it's changed since, as of season of the splicer, certain exotics also have built-in focusing as well, which can overwrite your ghost mod. For example things like Armamentarium and Getaway Artist have built-in discipline focus, so they will never roll below a 10 discipline stat (This also means they'll never roll over 22 in INT and STR). Not all exotics have this built in, and any that you had drop before Season of the Splicer also wont have this trait either. Just a note for anyone who feels like it's impossible for them to get a specific stat roll on an exotic. However, if you focus a stat in the *opposite* bucket as the exotics focus, it will focus both stats, and can be a good way to really tune a roll to what you want. Note that it seems Rahool focusing can mess with this interaction a bit.
It's worth pointing out that d2 armorpicker will not take the exotic artifice capability into account unless you unlocked the slot on that particular piece of armor. So any loadout suggestion with only a few stat points missing can be pushed over into the next tier by upgrading the exotic armor to arifice.
in the Advanced Settings, Artifice Slots section, turn on the "Assume ever exotic has an artifice slot." setting, if that's how you want it to work. gl on your armor sets :D
as was really a good video, you broke things down very well and went in perfect order. somethings are complicated and requires some bit of exp on destiny to follow, but you did a good job
8:00 I do that naturally & got a good role now finally, just needed certain things to progress a certain way. Also noting, that having weapons that have strength improves that aswell
As someone who really struggles with verbal instructions, this video has helped me finally understand armor (after 8 years of gameplay) It doesn't matter how often it was explained, it never stuck and I always felt a bit behind. Now I actually know what to farm for, and how to do it. Thank you SO much, you have an instant subscriber.
Basically, usually you only want one 100 in the bottom bucket so that should be your ghost mod(almost always discipline and maybe strength on titan). Then on warlock and titan you want the piece to have 2 mobility(the minimum possible). The best way is just to focus seasonal armor, it will help if you at least get some decent artifice armor(best way is warlord ruin master 1st enc) and definitely get an artifice class item
Whenever I put a ghost mod on I get the guaranteed 10 or 12 and that's it. So I usually just look out for spicy stats on the drops that I get since I also need different stat spreads for different builds. I agree with low mobility on titan but warlock, especially dawnblade, can be very good with high mobility... depends on how you want to play it.
@@seanboldt1830 you jump higher and strafe faster so it has an effect. Like I said, depends on your playstyle if you benefit from it. But I broke quite few ankles pulling a "hunter jump" on my opponent at close range.
@@mythe6669 it only effects your BASE jump not the height of your double jump and only effects your strafe speed walking not flying which is the whole point of dawnblade
I do like Mobility on a Titan. I wanna go fast. Ive always prioritized it. in D1 It was Mobility and Recovery. Had the mindset of who needs armor when you aren't getting shot.
@@chungusultimateif you’re a warlock you get your class ability back faster depending on your recovery stat. In-fact, you don’t need 100 anything so to speak. You can have whatever stats you want
@@chungusultimate As a newlight i was told to spec more into resilience, than recovery, and not put too much into intellect? I know things have changed abit, i use hunter for now and things are abit different on warlock and Titan.? I.e you spec into different attrabutes.
I carry a 10 intellect build on every character for Mayhem. I also use exotics that refund super energy in Mayhem like Shards of Galanor and Skull of Dire Ahamkara.
One thing that you didn't mention that is helpful when farming from ritual activities is equipping the Prosperity Ghost mod (as well as the stat armorer mod) so that you have a chance to get double drops at the end. Helps with getting red border weapons too.
I’m sure this was fantastic for fledgling Guardians, but damn…I already knew this stuff. Still a great video! Not trying to detract from good content. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that you made a discord but so much of the convos in it aren't even about destiny anymore. Feels hijacked by people that just want to chatter and get upset when you reel it back to destiny talk.
After taking a far too long break on the game its nice to see a straight forward way of explaining how to just jump back in and start grinding again for high stat gear without the bs
returning d2 player i used to be titan for years trying warlock using Int Dis build being abkle to throw 2 soalr nades that blow up 4 times and regen in 30 seconds so fun
Dude. This video is so good! You taught me a lot in 1 simple video. I’d love to see some prismatic builds from you. I want to play hunter again but I do not want to punch everything!
I think this video is helpful for most players but I would like to suggest that having 100 points in a stat is not nearly as crucial in today's sandbox than it was in the past. Previously the bonuses applied exponentially, so having T10 resilience for example would give you 40% resistance, but having T9 resilience only gave you 32%. Nowadays the bonuses apply much more linearly, so if you can't easily reach 100 in the stats you want, you don't need to stress over it.
I do like the video, but brother, what did the strength builds do to you! Having a 100 str for my hunter has helped me so much! Don't hate on it soooo much lol
Thank you for this video as I never knew what was good or not. I deleted gear that may have had the spikes but not good total on the armor piece itself.
Though intellect is not that important, I would still suggest to get a 30~40 on it when u have ur resil 100 and a high recovery if ur super isn't useless like stasis warlock. Cuz every tier below 30 is a minute cd of ur super.
Not sure why people go for recovery for hunter pve armor. Highly recommend just mobility and resilience. Recovery comes from multiple sources like orbs, fragments and weapon perks. Mobility is pretty much two stats in one for hunter because gamblers dodge refunds ur melee.
@@nonamename4367I ignore mobility for the most part, it doesn’t do much that you can’t do elsewhere and not sacrificing stat points for something that just improves strafe speed (and dodge but as I said there are other ways to improve your dodge recharge)
I'd say discipline over mobility for pve. Don't ignore it of course, but I'd say resil, discipline, mobility, recovery, strength, intelligence... the descending scale reflective of how easy it is to boost those stats via mods etc
I had someone tell me that my loadout screams Shadowkeep with the weapons, look and stats and I didn't know if I should be insulted or laugh about it, because the last time I played Destiny 2 before coming back in early june was during Shadowkeep lmao. The guy said "I saw no Resilience and I figured you haven't played in a long time"
3:19 I have kept a War mantis (the first exception to the general rule that comes to mind) at 53 stats in the top 3 stats, 6 in the bottom 3. It stands at 45 base recovery - I couldn't bring myself to dismantle it as it is an odd item with a very high stat spike (even for a War mantis). The stat bar ingame on the item maxes out and for some reason the highest number shown for a single stat next to the bar is 42 (DIM shows the correct value which I could verify ingame via the character stat sum).
Only thing I disagree with is that you said you shouldn’t focus mods on ghost according to what stat you want, I’ve gotten resilience drops far more than I ever did prior to using it on ghost
Unfortunately I still see a lot of guardians with poopy stats, yet last time POH was in rotation I found it extremely difficult to find a fireteam willing to farm for longer than 15-20mins (which is a huge waste of time trying to keep up with adding people in order to keep farming). Compared to last year so many people were down to farm POH I wonder what changed. I was able to farm with my 2 buds for 3hrs though and got a lot of good armor, few triple 100, 70's in prismatic on all classes w/o having to waste too many fragments on stat boosters.
In Pve only stat you need on hunter is resil and discipline focus. Pop all your mods in mobil and have gamblers dodge. Faux 3x 100 without grinding away like a mad man. With prismatic you don't gotta care anyway. It's meta. Use it. Gets a huge regen bump for abilities etc.
Hi I'm a total scrub here hoping this will help me be less of an awful player. But, objectively, it is mostly a skill issue. I just suck. Great video, though.
I have done over 100 emblems into armour pieces at the helm , still struggling to get 3 x 100, yet my clan mates get the drops, I think some players get certain drops, I normally get the good weapon drops, unlike my clan mates but I hardly ever get the armour.

When you’re using d2 armor picker, id recommend selecting “assume armor is master worked” it just makes it easier.
Also, if he equip armor doesn’t work, you can copy it into dim and paste it there, and then equip the armor pieces into your slots
Thank you! I’ve been playing for a long time and learned a few things.
Great to hear!
Thanks for the video man! i had all the resources to make the stat upgrade but had no idea on how to really focus a stat. i am finally ready for more late game content with my clan
Your videos are always so helpful, thank you!
Note that it seems Rahool focusing can mess with this interaction a bit.
i play since release and i had to look this guide to get to a tripple build
thanks for this

It's worth pointing out that d2 armorpicker will not take the exotic artifice capability into account unless you unlocked the slot on that particular piece of armor. So any loadout suggestion with only a few stat points missing can be pushed over into the next tier by upgrading the exotic armor to arifice.
in the Advanced Settings, Artifice Slots section, turn on the "Assume ever exotic has an artifice slot." setting, if that's how you want it to work. gl on your armor sets :D
as was really a good video, you broke things down very well and went in perfect order. somethings are complicated and requires some bit of exp on destiny to follow, but you did a good job
this video got burned into my monitor :(
8:00 I do that naturally & got a good role now finally, just needed certain things to progress a certain way.
Ty
@@mythe6669 high mobility will have 0 effect on your dawnblade
@@seanboldt1830 you jump higher and strafe faster so it has an effect. Like I said, depends on your playstyle if you benefit from it. But I broke quite few ankles pulling a "hunter jump" on my opponent at close range.
@@mythe6669 it only effects your BASE jump not the height of your double jump and only effects your strafe speed walking not flying which is the whole point of dawnblade
@@seanboldt1830 no dawnblade flies all the time on console. I won't speak for pc since I don't play mnk.
Amor picker + DIM + MOBALYTICS just amazing for build crafting
I do like Mobility on a Titan. I wanna go fast. Ive always prioritized it. in D1 It was Mobility and Recovery. Had the mindset of who needs armor when you aren't getting shot.
Thanks bro I need 100 recovery, resilience, and discipline
Yeah ive always gone for high resil and dicipline armor, then spec into the third one that I want
you dont need 100 recovery
@@chungusultimateif you’re a warlock you get your class ability back faster depending on your recovery stat. In-fact, you don’t need 100 anything so to speak. You can have whatever stats you want
@@chungusultimate
As a newlight i was told to spec more into resilience, than recovery, and not put too much into intellect? I know things have changed abit, i use hunter for now and things are abit different on warlock and Titan.? I.e you spec into different attrabutes.
@@digitaldogs233 sure but with class items in prismatic, only stat that you really need at 100 is resilence
Watching this vid with my 19 resilience ☠️
😂
Jail
Nooooooo you need more than that😂
You better not be a titan
Hahaha. Im on 22
Thanks. I didn't even know D2 Armor Picker was a thing.
Np
I’m sure this was fantastic for fledgling Guardians, but damn…I already knew this stuff. Still a great video! Not trying to detract from good content. Keep up the good work.
I just finished a 3- over 100 stat build in mobility resilience and discipline for my hunter
Amazing tutorial, thank you so much !🎉
I've been playing for years and I knew none of this stuff. TYVM.
I appreciate that you made a discord but so much of the convos in it aren't even about destiny anymore. Feels hijacked by people that just want to chatter and get upset when you reel it back to destiny talk.
After taking a far too long break on the game its nice to see a straight forward way of explaining how to just jump back in and start grinding again for high stat gear without the bs
returning d2 player i used to be titan for years trying warlock using Int Dis build being abkle to throw 2 soalr nades that blow up 4 times and regen in 30 seconds so fun
great explanation - thanks
Good work, you made it simple 👌
With solstice being available rn it makes this even easier to do
Dude. This video is so good! You taught me a lot in 1 simple video. I’d love to see some prismatic builds from you. I want to play hunter again but I do not want to punch everything!
Thanks!
Incredible video. Off course all this could be avoided if Bungie/Destiny allowed us to move stat points around.
Good vid guardian, realised a few things I did not know, still trying for 100 stat armour.
iv only ever been able to get 1 100 stat with the others reaching 70 or 80 and here is this guy with 4 100 stat .....
Man, I really wish I had got this video yesterday, when i spent ALL MY ENGRAMS WITHOUT THE GHOST MOD
The max single stat, on any armor, which would include MW & stat mod is 42!
Not sure why people go for recovery for hunter pve armor. Highly recommend just mobility and resilience. Recovery comes from multiple sources like orbs, fragments and weapon perks. Mobility is pretty much two stats in one for hunter because gamblers dodge refunds ur melee.
can’t always collect orbs depends on build
@@nonamename4367I ignore mobility for the most part, it doesn’t do much that you can’t do elsewhere and not sacrificing stat points for something that just improves strafe speed (and dodge but as I said there are other ways to improve your dodge recharge)
I'd say discipline over mobility for pve. Don't ignore it of course, but I'd say resil, discipline, mobility, recovery, strength, intelligence... the descending scale reflective of how easy it is to boost those stats via mods etc
Awesome farming Techeunique ;)
This was very helpful
Good video good sir! 🙏
Having triple 100s and also having all stats end in 0 is something I want lol got it done except for 33 mobility 😮💨
love making a build and seeing this
Hiii, I’m not exactly a new light but I’ve never done any raids or dungeons. I was looking for someone who could teach me and have a fun time playing
I had someone tell me that my loadout screams Shadowkeep with the weapons, look and stats and I didn't know if I should be insulted or laugh about it, because the last time I played Destiny 2 before coming back in early june was during Shadowkeep lmao. The guy said "I saw no Resilience and I figured you haven't played in a long time"
Any way without the season pass?? Can’t use the episode vendor nor get the engrams without the season pass
Thanks! Im a new player and this helped me get three level 100 stats! Can you do a similar video for picking weapon rolls?
3:19 I have kept a War mantis (the first exception to the general rule that comes to mind) at 53 stats in the top 3 stats, 6 in the bottom 3.
It stands at 45 base recovery - I couldn't bring myself to dismantle it as it is an odd item with a very high stat spike (even for a War mantis).
The stat bar ingame on the item maxes out and for some reason the highest number shown for a single stat next to the bar is 42 (DIM shows the correct value which I could verify ingame via the character stat sum).
About 7:15 before he stops fluffing/padding and actually starts talking about why you clicked.
thank you for teach how to watch high stat armor and what should be more careful
Only thing I disagree with is that you said you shouldn’t focus mods on ghost according to what stat you want, I’ve gotten resilience drops far more than I ever did prior to using it on ghost
If you ONLY care about resil then you’re right, but if you’re going for a build, the strategy in this video is optimal
Man I have a boatload of engrams. Been waiting for a video like this to use them
Hi I'm a total scrub here hoping this will help me be less of an awful player. But, objectively, it is mostly a skill issue. I just suck.
Great video, though.
i started d2 3 weeks ago and after watching this vid, im getting genshin ptsd
Thanks for this, I thought resilience helped with warlock glass abilities 😂 😮
I mean, not every hunter is running Arc so we kinda need high mobility
Yeah I normally run some amount, but it’s not worth prioritizing over something better like resil
I have done over 100 emblems into armour pieces at the helm , still struggling to get 3 x 100, yet my clan mates get the drops, I think some players get certain drops, I normally get the good weapon drops, unlike my clan mates but I hardly ever get the armour.
This is a really good video! I am confused whether the farming method for the armor can be used by people without final shape.
Most comprehensive high stat armour farming guide on UA-cam
I will say lately I get better armor from Xur then failsafe. But his is kinda extra anyways since it uses strange coins
Super useful video, well explained for us low-sodium players! Thanks!
np
There's a couple of things i didn't know!
I wana point out there's one piece I got that was blue armor that broke the 34 rule as it only had mobility resistance and recovery.
As a new player thank you. I've been using the Beta DIM for this same thing. What's the thought behind using D2AP over beta DIM?
I hear D2 armor picker or something is the best thing to use for armor and stat support
