Played against 3 teams like this, but this was pre behemoth nerf, and they were using double dynamo max resilience - they all had super by 2nd round without getting many kills
Also before there was a capture point so they didnt need to move…
funny thing is they were on a 14 win streak until you beat them twice then they stopped using this strat and lost 15 of 18 games after
I matched a team this weekend with two stag warlock with arc buddies and a titan with citans. The worst part is that they only stayed in respawn waiting for us to push or waiting for the flag. We won but that match left me with 4 different types of cancer.
Just put risk runner on when you go against whorelocks with their disco ball maxi-pads being used… you’ll melt them

I’ve heard cammy say that malf is really good in a team setting for countering that playstyle. It doesn’t matter who gets the 5 shots in as every slug works from everyone which guarantees the Insta kill

Fighting Lion does really well against this kind of play style if you spec into reload. Multimach shreds the overshields too. Give it a try if you happen to verse them again.

@@boom-jr8vi If you have armor piercing rounds it will help with champion shields if you have the mod equipped, I believe also barricades but not too sure, overshields never
that last play was nuts man, them pushing with overshields, and then the knife throw after shotgunning the friend who ran away. High IQ against low IQ, plain and simple.
Cerberus +1 is almost mandatory in those situations, It plows through Shields and Stasis and running it with a GL is even better especially Salvagers

3 sweet business with 3 Actium War Rigs would have been funny to use against a team like this.
Sweet business/Actium is a meme Loadout. You want that Super Sweet Business?
Pair it with Lion Rampant for some nice aggressive aerial play to get over cover.
Pair it with Icefall to hold ground like no other, or to push through an enemy's punishment, to deliver your own.
Pair it with Citan's for a similar effect to Icefall, but affecting your whole team.
Pair it with (bear with me) Aeon Safe for wicked fast reload (whichever sect essentially gives your guns rapid hit for free, Vigor perhaps?)
Pair it with OEM, because duh.
Any other synergistic combos between sweet business and exotics? (Especially with other classes)

this has been broken for at least two seasons and it feels like the last nerf didn’t really do much about it
Well now all abilities and armour mods and exotics that boost energy regeneration are getting nerfed so i think this will not be as good as it is now

I beat this many time. You just just need to play it smart push all at one by using your abilitys on there walls and switch too hard light, sweet business, Or that shotgun auto.
I push meny people who did this. Can work if you all do it. This combo is easy to stop if you just keep shooting the crystals. Like wallah team mates, unlike wallah they keep shooting even if they don't see them, when wallah is back there complaining

Ok so what this comment actually means is you too abuse this playstyle and dont want it nerfed. Also in what fucking parallel dimension is using a movement exotic comparable to rime farming? Literally the only way you "abuse" speed is with intelligent decision making and good rotations. Rime farm is literally trying not interact with your opponent because playing for a flag is more consistent
@@brokenw1ings273 I hate stasis I never play it. This is the same as the Roman Turtle formation. Find a way to counter it. Literally one stasis grenade would have fucked them up, cause it insta-explodes on shields. Equip Witherhoard and make them move from their little trench. Teamshoot the shield and snipe one then collapse on them. This is fun, when it's not just the same 3 builds every game and you have to solve the puzzle to win.

I actually defeated a team doing this by using cloudstrike with khapri sting to get wall hacks. I would wait for one of them to expose their head and when I landed my shot, it would always kill at least 2 and then we would rush the last one. To be fair though, it was on Distant Shore which is much more of an open map so I had many options for angles and flanks.
Not gonna lie, I expect this build to be more prominent than any other titan build once the December update comes. With just how frequent you can make these abilities work, they'll be just as strong if not even stronger. They can cut the cooldowns in half, but when a build is designed to bring back your grenade in an instant, then half of instant is stil good enough.
Me and my friends ran into these guys too. It was the worst experience ever, we lost 4-5. I'm glad you guys won.
Teamshotting with Mal is the play for these kind of crappy situations. Then stagger nades as you push. 3 warlocks running the gauntlets that buff malfeasance and running an arc buddy build is crazy strong.

I had a similar experience week one of trials this season. One Stag warlock, 2 khepris horn titans, all on stasis, all using witherhoard. They would hide in the hallways near bridge on Burnout and just wait for the point and push as a team. There was nothing we could do because killing them just gave them more special ammo. We lost 5-3, was unbelievably obnoxious
They were so slow, should've chucked on the aimbot knives and just yeeted some at walls.

ummm what? what was against the rules on anything they were doing? they played a competitive game to win....now stream sniping is another thing and not really acceptable as it's cheating to get extra info like that.... but if they weren't doing that, seems like just a case of one of the world's best players whining about people not playing the way you want them to play so you can generate content off of them...that's not their job, they just played to win, it's up to you to deal with it (edit: and you did)...you can always count on sweaty PvPers to complain about how other sweaty PvPers choose to play sweatily...

And Wallah and his team are the ones who decided to play for zone, they were going for kills, at least on this game, so they are the ones who decided to suffer more lol
I went against the same people I played around them and sniped 1 of them Everytime and it was painful tbh but yeah they lost because they relied on it too much they forgot how to use a gun and it was a close game also

Interesting video. This isn't something I would enjoy running or meeting at all, but I'm into the "use whatever don't apologise" mindset.
These guys can have an advantage playing smart just like you have an advantage being absolutely stacked. The toxicology report depends on how you define fair play in Trials which is intrinsically full of snowbally lopsided games. I guess the new crucible tuning will be in place before this particular strat gains too much traction. And that's probably for the best. Lol.
Have a feeling these guys weren’t just having innocent fun, as shown by their pretty blatant Stream Sniping.
I've taken a break from PvP games now. I still watch them of course but I get heated too easily and toxic players just piss me off.
Cammy put out a video where he matched a similar team. he used witherhoard to counter their shields.
Something that could be maaaaaybe be useful is the combo of Cerberus+1 and the antibarrier auto rifle mod, that combo melts Titan shields but idk if it could work in that match I don't even play crucible
I played against this a bunch of times before Trials got its overhaul. I cried in the shower after every time.

I don't think this strategy is toxic, it's actually extremely smart because playing the win condition instead of going for kills quickly is how you, well, WIN. While it's extremely passive and infuriating to play against, it is very smart and a really good way to keep your team alive. (Obviously stream sniping is not though, totally uncool to do)
I get that there's toxic builds, but imagine being a person who goes flawless every weekend and being mad that a less skilled teamed decided to use a different tactic that requires less skill to try to get to the lighthouse... You're right they're so toxic...idk if they were tea bagging or something that made it ACTUALLY toxic or you're just complaining because you didn't curb stomp them. Watching your open stream and using it to their advantage hardly send toxic

I mean, thats a team strat that seems effective and the objective is to win..not everybody can put on a talent show every match.
I think the stream snipe is the real issue. That strat is annoying sure but it’s beatable, especially by wallah and co. But it’s probably really frustrating trying to win against that strat when they also are watching your every move. It’s wall hacks without the hacks

It was like that for me when the map was javelin and banner fall two Titans and a hunter all with stasis. If it wasn’t for those particular teams having shitty aim and suck at 1s, it’s almost impossible to win against a comp like this ino

I think I've seen GernaderJake play against them. Several times, in fact. They do stream-snipe, they are all very toxic, they are all salty when losing and very sore winners. They frequently try to match up against streamers for some kind of ego trip and bring this very abusive playstyle most weekends. Whenever it's not triple Behemoth, its triple of whatever is the cheesiest, most annoying builds to play against at that given time, like triple Omni with LoW. Its very sad and disappointing, really.

Will this be as effective after the December 8th patch? Or are glacier grenades on a much longer cooldown? I still think Whisper of Rime (overshield) should be disabled in PvP. It's mega cheese.
So are many other things. There is no honour in this game, it is decided on who can cheese harder. The speed wallah moves at with warlock and titan skating is cheesy. At least the enemy team used a strategy anyone can use. Skating is only bound to PC.

This requires some very min-maxed stat splits, and was advertised by several top level players as a legit strat. Loadouts may be strong and need tuning, but inherently using something doesn't make it toxic.
I play this build solo with 100 res 100 recov and 100 dis, and it is one of the most interesting and unique ways to play titan, especially against cheaters tbh
It's also super fun in PvE, so if you can spare the time to get high Resilience and high Discipline, along with a wellspring/demo weapon, it actually makes doing GMs somewhat possible! Additionally, with the increase in Damage resistance from the damage resistance fragment, it will only get better in PvE.
Glad to see it's getting tuned in PvP, but getting buffed in PvE!

I found a very funny way to fight this as a hunter with skip grenades and shinobus, because you get enough energy each throw to basically keep spamming until they die run away or push.

So putting aside their behavior or any stream sniping, is the playstyle really that toxic? In my experience, I'm constantly getting rolled over by hunters dodging, sliding and sprinting around the map with shotguns and fusion rifles, playing super aggressive. But the polar opposite playstyle, playing super defensive, is toxic? Finding another way to play competitively off meta is toxic?
This is exactly why I main top tree nova with Contraverse Hold, so I can spam overcharged vortex nades
