My vote is for the PRX. It's unique and it has the history/heritage from the 1970s. I bought matching quartz green dial PRX's for my wife and I (35mm for her, 40mm for me), and it brings a big 'ole smile to my face each time I wear it. I've been wearing a couple Omegas and a Rolex for years now and never gotten a single compliment on them. In the couple dozen times I've worn the PRX, I've gotten 3-4 compliments. It's a great watch at a fair price.
Bracelet is better on the PRX but movement, case and indices are better on the Gentleman. Also Gentleman won't age or ever go out of fashion because it is so classic. Gentleman for me
@@abdulrahmanassous2873 I personally don't think so. The lugs have a nice downward curve and the first link follows it. Fits nicely on a 6.5" wrist. It also houses the best version of the Powermatic 80. Hope this helps.
The Tissot looks better, in my opinion, however, I think I’d wear the Tissot more often, even though it doesn’t look as nice as the Tissot. Just my opinion!
Took the plunge to grab a BNIB but second hand PRX auto with the blue dial. It took me 6 months to pull the trigger, but this is the only watch I’ve bought which my wife has outright deemed as a “classy watch” 😅 versus the divers that I do default towards. I also thought that 40mm would have been a little small for my wrist, but have grown into it after 2 weeks on the wrist. Lovely watch and great form factor!
I’m not a big fan of polished center links, and the bracelet of the PRX really catches light nicely as you turn your wrist. I also like the balance of the PRX. The Gentleman has too much bezel and just has an overall more chunky look that I just don’t really care for. The cool waffle dial is a real nice touch on the PRX, too
For me the PRX because of you explained, it spoke to me and it's angular shape makes it sporty and different. I plan to have more watches Grand Seiko being the elegant watch the Gentleman can't really compete with except in price. I did consider adding the Gentleman since it's being sold on Amazon for $425 but I'd really be buying it because it's on discount not because it spoke to me all the sudden.
- I agree , it would be nice to have an all brushed finish option on the Gentleman. I also wish the bezel wasn’t so wide. It kind of overtakes the presentation.
I'm getting the black Gentleman Powermatic 80 as a gift for my first Father's Day. Couldn't be more excited about getting this one. My only worry is I have an 8.25in wrist. I'm wondering if it comes with extra links?
I just like the Gentleman better all around. (Just my preference) I’m not big on all the “extra” casing and angular look. Both nice of course but the PRX just wouldn’t be my choice. Maybe because the PRX reminds me of something my grandpa wore but it looks a bit “old man-ish” to me too. (Just sayin)
The Gentleman is the better watch all the way around other than the PRX having the slight edge on the bracelet. As an owner of both, the PRX feels like a large watch, but the dial seems too small on wrist.
@@daveLin104 PRX wears larger, but the dial is smaller, so the Gent looks larger. If that makes any sense. The Gentleman definitely sits better on the wrist, but I have an 8 inch wrist so its hard to say
Gentleman for me, as it looks like a "wristwatch". It is the first picture in my memory bank when I hear "wristwatch". It looks like a go anywhere, on anybody type of watch. The PRX? I've never been an integrated case/strap watch guy. It reminds me of the Timex watches in the stand up rotary watch display at the pharmacy, circa 1977!
I really don’t like the shiny centre links on the Gentleman and the non colour matched date wheel on the PRX isn’t ideal. I’d probably get the gentleman on a leather strap.
I’m a fan of “boring” and have been considering a Gentleman for quite some time. It will be my next timepiece purchase. It’s lines are so classic.
I got the green sector dial and even after 9 months, I can't stop admiring it. You can't go wrong with either!

I have PRX gold 40mm and I’m happy with it
The 2 big advantages of a slower beat rate are longer power reserve and less stress on the moving parts.
Bracelet is better on the PRX but movement, case and indices are better on the Gentleman.
Also Gentleman won't age or ever go out of fashion because it is so classic.
Gentleman for me
I love my blue Gentlemen. It has that classic clean look that goes with everything.
Did u think of ten ice blue one ?cant decide between the 2
Got both. Gentleman in blue powermatic 80 and PRX gold 40mm. What a great pair
Thanks for actually taking the time to match seconds hands on the watches. Most channels have them slightly it of phase and it's annoying lol
Right on with the “Gentleman Explorer” idea. Love it.
The Gent for me, yes the PRX has a cool desing but the gent is soo classy and nice
I just happen to have them both. They keep surprisingly accurate time
I was little disappointed with quality of braclet and with ar coating,Longines is way superior in that department!
Isn’t the gentleman lug to lug too big ?

I went with the Gentleman in green and am very happy with it.
Do you have any trouble matching it with clothes cuz it’s green..😅

Just picked up the Gentleman in black with the crosshair dial and brown leather strap. I find it’s sleeker, classier and more versatile. 4:40

@@abdulrahmanassous2873 wears small, this is not a statement piece, rather understated simplicity and just very nice on the wrist
The PRX for me. Getting a little anxious to see a smaller automatic version. Xmas is coming Tissot.
a trick with the blacklight is just hold it steady on the watches, you can watch the lume get bright af

My wife bought me the Gentleman for Christmas. A stunning watch for the price, and she queued for over 2 hours with me to get a great discount too.
Do you remember what you paid?

It would be the original PRX for me in Quartz.
You know you have matured in your watch collecting journey when you confidently buy and wear Quartz.
Gentleman was hot when it came but the PRX now carries the flag for Tissot.
Shame, cause the Gent is the better watch
Get both ;)
