Horst is the man. Every review of his is like reading a good book.
Was just able to get my hands on Bottle #1408 for $950 USD. Think I'll just lock it up until our 40th wedding anniversary. It was distilled in 1983, same year as we were married!
Good for you dennis good for you...🙄
Tomorrow ain't guaranteed amigo, have a sip today!!
Man I wish I could score free whisky of this caliber too. Lucky dog Horst.
Stuff giving the bottle back i would have just drank the whole lot and sent the empty bottle back with a letter saying "sorry it was an accident"
Horst, you are the man!!! You should read audiobooks!
Horst you get to taste some truly incredible whiskies! No one deserves it more!
Wow 32 year Laphroaig thats some good shit.
I like the way you use whisky as a mouthwash.i started the same and my dental health has improved.
😂🤣😂👍🥃🙋♂️
Dude has my dream job
I got to try this last weekend for my birthday. 1 oz at the whisky pub was $100 Canadian. What a treat! Sweet fruitiness with a big hit of oak. Subtle smoke and a very long finish. Superb whisky.
what I would give.. As i sip on a 10 year.. Laphroaig is my hands down favorite..
I've got a bottle of that on hand too. If your city has an SMWS chapter, you can get some great cask strength private releases of Laphroaig every once in a while. Still have some left of an 18 year old Oloroso cask matured expression from a while back.
To watch this seems almost like a religious experience. Thank you for uploading.
8:20 if you hate smoke you would not even be thinking of spending 1200 on a Laphroaig
Pro Whiskey Taster. 32 years. Delight to watch. Like luck get taste and smell. Super Whiskey.
Many thanks Mr.Luening for honest & informative reviews!!
I really enjoy these reviews! I learn much watching these! Thank you Horst!
Mein Gott Horst, you tease! I need to taste this Laphroaig!!!! Ohne diese Laphroaig 32 kann ich einfach nicht leben!
Thank you Prof.Leuning for that mouthwatering review. You educate more people than you know, you have very few peers.
They have it at Costco of all places right now for around $800 US.
NinJABRONI for real?
Thanks for the videos!
❤️
I saw two of them here in a store of Frankfurt
Without the distinct laphroaig smoke...what are you left with? A Speyside with a hint of smoke.
awesome
Is smoke important..?
The club falls silent
Scoffing
Eyes averted
Shunning....
I bought a bottle of Laphroaig in the 90s and likened it to drinking an alcoholic infusion of Stockholm tar!
this whisky I never can not pronounce the name. I saw 10 times this video only for to listen the name
I might be late but I have a guitar made of mahogany and it's quite that whiskey colour
There are several varieties of mahogany, of different colorations, densities, and names, ranging from light golden blonde to reddish browns to darker browns. Most are from Africa, like Khaya wood, for example, which is different than American mahogany.
1200 euro's? and not that smoky? I will stick to the cheaper Laphroaig....
i have no problem with you sending back the bottle, so long ad you know my address :D
Would you pay $1400? My local store has one.
I don't like anything butt I like this guy
when you are aging a whisky 32 years old you would not want first fills anyways......you'd have zero character and all cask flavor...
I’m 23 and I have an unopened bottle of it
8 years later and this bottle is still only a $1,200 bottle. Guess the demand for peated scotches is incredibly low? Everything else seems to blow up in price. These, not so much.
W.O.W.
Must be nice
Horst, pardon my naiveness, but what is the point of sending the bottle back? It's already been opened and whisky is now missing from it. It's not like they can re-sell it....or do they?
it's not being sold after this review it's being broken down into tasters for a whisky festival i believe he said
Ah, ok. I must have missed that part. Thanks for the clarification.
Laphroaig 10 is my favorite scotch so far, is there a version of Laphroaig that has a higher age statement but still retains that powerful smoke and phenol taste?
John Berry Conway III listen to everything Horst says again...the older the peated whisky the less intense it is. there are older bottles of laphroaig but it may not be as peaty/phenolic. Why not try Lagavulin 16.
If it's available in check it out, thank you
Thanks John, I'll check it out if I can. I can't say that I have came across it here in SWVA
John Berry Conway III oh man, if you can find it, you're in for a treat. Its readily available in UK. I hope you find it.
Laphraog lore
worth the money?
+Matt Blair Had it a few months ago. Definitely over aged. Try the Ardmore 30, I had it just before the Laphroaig and it really impressed me.
Any alcoholic stuff beyond US$200 a bottle is extra-extravagance !! Makes no sense to most people in world unless you don't know where to throw away your precious money !
@@kuldeepgadhvi1788 to each their own
Yes. Just bought a bottle. It’s fantastic, definitely not overaged but of course it is not as smokey as you might expect of a Laphroaig. Will be buying another
Good stuff. I killed a whole bottle and never once had a hangover. Fantastic stuff
No you didn’t dude
Horst Luening's voice has a better maturation than this whisky.
Old whisky loses to much of its distillery heritage in regards 2 nose and taste.
that's why it's expensive?
howeever, i dont like taste cherry!
He said Sherry.. not Cherry..

If Carlsberg made Whiskey....
The mouth noises were a little much. Some sound engineering would be nice.
Seriously! It creeped me out a bit.
The only issue with this channel is Horsts mic taking all the unncesassary sounds.
Sind Sie alkoholiker ?
