OMG, I requested this kit! Thanks for reviewing this. The 1/200 Bismarck and Hood are my dream builds. Even if I don't build them, and just keep them in the box would be enough for me.
I've started watching tutorials on and reading up on airbrushing for when (or if) I start building large 1/350 carriers. I built the Ranger CV4 in that scale, but she's small by carrier standards. Larger ones like Yorktown CV5 and Enterprise CV6 would be pretty impractical to hand paint, as would the hulls of 1/200 ships like this one, Hood, Nelson, Rodney, Arizona, and so on.
Large models definitely benefit from spray painting, whether it be by rattle can or airbrush. I do believe that brush painting will add extra character by adding randomness to the finish and applying focused weathering after the base colors have been sprayed.
It's good kit.not all accurately bit to build make fun.still in progress and by 50-60% and scharnhorst from your last review also start...thanks for both review's
My sister got me this kit long ago and at the same time I got the Arizona and ÙSS Hornet and Enterprise and have never been able to get to build any of them but still buying more ships of that scale and 1/350 of WWII. and Axis and Allied aircraft kits military of course. 1/32 to 1/18 are my favorite scales cuz I've got fat fingers . I hope to have massive stash of kits in a few years. I m hoping for over 2000 , I started this my stash in 77 . It's now reaching 1700 The only thing I don't have have is Room, but keep ordering ànd collecting ,paints ,tools and related products and 5 airbrushes high dollars equipment
I cannot afford this project, so I shall enjoy vicariously this build. Had I the money, I would endeavour the DKM Tirpitz, for a "what if" display with a model of the USS Iowa (BB- 61) U.S. Navy Fast Battleship. (Yes, I realise a precisely exact diorama would be round 150 metres across!)
I purchase mine 5 years ago and done a little bit of work on it and sat under my bed ever since its a pretty big thing I paid $470 for it they have gone up since then I will finish it but been too busy to work on it, also got the hms victory wooden model its pretty big I've done very little on it as well that 1 was $750 but ill get around to it both sat under my bed for years
@@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne Thanks again but; I am 5 down in 1/35 scale tanks and am running out of space. I will continue to fantasize, scheme and make plans however. :)
Marvelous kit, very well described. May I ask if a certain WW2 German symbol has been deleted from the flag and bow decal as this certainly impacts on the authenticity of the build.
Is there Painting instructions for all pieces? I mean also small parts. It seems on the leaflet with instructions colour is not included with parts to be sealed
That was some pretty seamless camera work. Nice close up looks at the parts. And over all look at the sprews as well.
Good job.
Thank you!

Cheers Joshua! 1/200 scale ship kits are magical.
@@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne Besides Hood and Bismarck, Trumpeter also makes Nelson and Rodney in 1/200. I might get those kits too.
This is my absolute dream model that i want get hold of and great unboxing
Glad you enjoyed the unboxing and hope you get to enjoy this kit in the future.
At 11 mins 11 secs those are the hangars for the Arado aircraft. The boats sat on top of the hangars
Thank you!
And while I'm not yet ready to build it , I could use the box as a kitchen bench in the meantime.
Haha!
The domes at 28.57 are the searchlight covers
Thanks!

Fair enough! Good luck with your build. I plan to do more large unboxings in the future.
i feel like this would be a good kit to turn into an rc ship
Yes, with a little planning this would make a very nice scale rc.
Looks a great model
It really is! Thank you for watching!

Good luck for your 2 big build projects!
Same here bought few years ago, painted hull and stuck on some brass work. It just seems a huge project. The wood deck worth buying.
At 23 mins 10 those are the mounts for the 10.5 cm anti aircraft guns
Nice!
Thanks Hearns. Good review and I'm drooling all over myself!
Thank you for watching and hope you can stop drooling soon. Glad you enjoyed the review. May you be blessed with a big kit in the near future!

Thank you for watching our review! The decals have "stylized" symbols that can easily be modified with a knife, masking tape and paint.
@@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne The swastika is banned in some countries so model kit companies do not include them.
@@janmajer865 My model came with the swastika deck and flags. Not shown on the colour paint call out chart.
On my to get list.. Very good review... Cheers
Glad you enjoyed the review. Thank you for watching!
How much you bought?
Where's the finished ship??
I didn't build it.
At 17 mins 20 those are the radar bases
cheers!

There are basic painting instructions included. Like most kits, for accurate details you will need to do your own research.
I was unboxing this kit on 20th of july this year
Good on you!
A New Kit is Comming this Month from Glow2b in Cooperation with Trumpeter .
The Yamato 1/200 Incredibele Kit .
Yes, Monochrome (Trumpeter) 1/200 Yamato is expected in Australia in July 2022.
I wait for the Tirpitz and get that kit
That will be nice!
I just bought one of these - how many hours do u reckon to assemble…….
That is difficult to say. Everyone works at different speeds depending on how much detail they want to do their build.
Not on line in the storfront
It is currently not available, as it comes back into stock, we will make it available online.
need to motorize that model... to give it a proper build
If you are capable, a motorized ship build is awesome!
I have a 1/200 swastika for the bow for it
It's always great to add your own detail. Thanks for watching!
it's a nice model but it looks a very expensive construction kit
to by
It's a beautiful kit.
NICE
It is so nice.
Bloody hell! I want it! Rent be damned!
Get it!
I have the Titanic one
The Titanic is a great kit too!
Why are there so many unboxing videos of a 10+ year old kit.I bought mine in 2013,not a new kit.
Why not? Those kits are still for sale and it helps people decide if a given kit may be of interest!
デカイ!作るの大変だな。
そうですね。
大変かもしれないけど作り方が楽しいと思います。
