    Here I was thinking your Bismarck build is utterly perfect before lights. Nope you've just increased that 10 fold, this is such an awesome addition that breathes so much life into her. I'm in awe of your skill level.

    You have built by far the most beautiful model of the Bismarck I have seen in years. The wooden decks you painted are exceptionally well done and great! If you don't mind, I will try to apply the technique to my future ships. Until then, I wish you exponential growth in subscriber numbers.

    Thanks for the video. It truly looks awesome. This will also help me with my light installation for my Richelieus hull.
    Maybe as a tipp for future Ship model builds: I used micro-LEDs for the searchlights and for the aircraft hangar. Came out rather beautiful I would say. Granted this only works, if the searchlights in the kit, have a clearpart or something like that.

    What a fantastic channel you have created! I've been researching building a 1/350 battleship and stumbled across your channel. By far the most helpful, relaxing, informative I've found. Congratulations on not only fantastic models but a well polished channel 👍

    Your model of Bismarck is the most impressive of all I’ve seen on UA-cam. I hope my craft gets half as good as yours.

    Here’s a hint for soldering. Apply the iron to the connector first then press the solder against the connector. The solder will draw toward the heat.

    I am impressed with the level of the details in your model! Awesome work! The LED lights make the model very realistic. What is your model manufacturer? I am in the early start of a Tamiya's 1:350 Bismark and it is a beautiful kit! I would like to replicate the same lighting technique, how can I find this transparent strip?

    What are round transparent plastic profiles, and where do you get them?

      It’s Trumpeter. Watch entire process of building in 4 parts.

    i need some help with a decision. I would also like to build a Bismarck model and am considering between two models. either revell's or trumpeter's. I heard that Trumpeter's should be much more detailed than Revell's, but I'm wondering if the surcharge of almost €100 is worth it.

    • @homerthedoomer
      @homerthedoomer Рік тому +1

      Trumpeter's model is a much newer mold that is closer to the real ship and very well designed. It also comes with a large amount of PE parts that are an integral part of the model (there are no plastic alternatives). So I'd say, you're getting good value for your money with the trumpeter kit.

    Good tutorial but the only time Bismarck may have had all lights visible from portholes and various other lights and not in a total blackout, would have been in port during a time when it would not bring danger to the ship, like peacetime. When Bismarck was launched war had already broken out so this is an unrealistic lighting depiction. If anything on this model deserves lighting it would be the searchlights because they can be and often were used for night fighting. Maybe a better lighted ship would an ocean liner like Titanic or other civilian ship. Plus, a lighted bridge at night means the crew cannot see out, they can only see their reflections in the window glass. Bridges are completely dark during night navigation save for the low light of equipment indicators, compass, engine telegraph, a dim map light and so forth.

      holy crap, you sound really pretty silly saying this. 1. it's a plastic model sitting on his shelf, very little chance of enemy engagement. the simulated lighting would be best case, not friggin reality.
      make whiny Hjerte noises "In reality the plastic barrels would have melted the first time the guns were fired."
      see how dumb that sounds
