omg look how young Jared looks and the apollo still isn't out.
2 years later xD
@@jinz0 haha omg. 2 years and zero progress
I am still waiting for the Apollo. Can't believe 3 years have passed and YT is now showing me this. Must mean the stars are aligning for this ship soon.
One eternity later…
It might be entering the pipeline soon according to a recent live show!
Soon
Supposedly a 2024 release 👀
March 2024... still nothing.
RSI aren't my favourite ship designs typically, but I like this one. I find the medium scale medical gameplay potentially a lot of fun. Cheers!
Dev about medical gameplay: " I just want to see it in game"
So do we... so do we...
Yeah, but what about the Carrack?
THIS is what we want ♥
CARRRRRRRACK!!!!!!! Where art thou??????
JARED, WE *NEED* THE CARRACK!! GIVE US THE CARRACK!! WE MUST HAVE THE CARRACK!!
B.M.F. Entertainment haha yes
This is no country for ol' Carrack.
Five years later and the waiting is still going, cant wait to see this video again in 2years time!
Finally, a new ship shape. It gets my thumbs up!
Alfred ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
PAUL JONES, as so much stars in his eyes when is talking, he could literally populate SC Univers with those.
Cant wait for fireman ship & Lawyer Ship .
sixtyFive Watts janitor ship. For cleaning the outside of star bases and capital ships to make them shiny
Mr. Sulen doesn't the Crucible do that?
The Lawyer ships can often be seen hiding in the wake of these hospital ships, often a whole pack of em in close formation.
The medical ship can heal other ships.
Tom Beattie janitor will be for bigger ships/bases.
Is it just me or has Jared slimmed down a lot? Lookin’ good out there buddy :)
Noticed the same.
He's been eating subway
It’s wild to pop into a video from 5 years ago. It has actually come a long way
And Jared! Wow. So different. You seem a lot more personable and comfortable now
Funny watching this 5 years later knowing what the 890 jump transformed into.
:) :) YEAHHHHHHH The MIS, MAX and DUR :), restoring my faith Jared, gracias :)
Where is the decontamination room before a medbay ?
Anonymous D the airlock? Grasping at straws here
Hope this is coming in game soon. Maybe with or around the time of 3.15
Crazy that it has been four years and no update since. I get that there isn't much medical specific gameplay at present however that hasn't stopped them in the past from releasing ships.
Gib Banu Merchantman
Gib ALL those ships that were sold half a decade ago....
The merchantman would actually cost the same as this smallish ship... their pricing doesn't make any sense...
Well I think it's based on the functionality in the ship itself and rarity of the ship, not size. The BMM is a common Banu trading ship they use, and it's really just a big shipping ship, it doesn't have a hospital or tons of military scanners or guns or armor. It's a large trading ship.
Yus! Gib Banu! Gib! Gib!
Merchantman, take me by the hand lead me to the void that you understand
Patiently waiting for freelancer Max.
Ditto
Waiting for Freelancer Dur.
I NEED MY MAX!!!!!
WOOO, this is EXACTLY the kind of ship I've been hoping to see. I'm really looking forward to the medical/search and rescue aspect of the game. It's going to be my number 1 focus.
FINALLY!!!! 300 rework! I'm hyped
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ! SHIPS SHIPS SHIPS SHIPS SHIPS SHIPS MOOOOOOAR SHIPS !! (but ready to fly please..) but most of all ..... CAAAAAARRRRRRAAAAAAAAAACK PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please Robert, from the bottom of my heart !!!!
APOLLO COULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT CARGO SHIP! If there will be a simple cargo version.
or some sort of passenger ship ...
Maybe even a conferance room ship... like a mobile office for marketing firms.
Dear God, why is it people insist on trying to use ships specifically created for a type of gameplay and then try and use it for something else entirely. There was someone the other day complaining the prospector couldn’t dogfight! 😳
big battles are going to happen , thanks to this ship.
As a former EMT and recently graduated registered nurse, I approve this message. :D
What do you think, guys? Should medical ships carry weapons to be able to defend themselves?
yes, there are still vanduuls etc
Karl Echnaton Hechtmeister Hering I guess they can get escorted too, it already has a PD Turret.
nop anyone who attacks a medic ship should be hunted by all (pirates and police;)
ps: for a week or so even if he died several times
Yes, because of ass hats and micro-meteors (though the latter might not be in game).
Yes, but they should come with non-lethals by default (like distortion cannons)
It has a reception:) nice. New proffesion: the receptionist
Ok, pretty decent episode. I liked it, wish it was longer and showed more, but this satiated my Star Citizen fix
and tommorow youll make a video about it no? or maybe a month. lol
Paul Jones has a calming voice. I hope he does VO work in the game. Maybe he could voice one of doctors when you first wake up in the hospital bed.
Does the air lock doubles as a decontamination lock? Ya know, in case of microbiologocal hazards :D
I don't think they're delving that deep into medical gameplay that diseases will be a thing, so i think we're good... besides, Ambulances in real life don't have de-con chambers.
I think the ship must have been Mercury and not Apollo. Mercury is a medicine god, and even have the caduceus which is used until modern days as a symbol for medicine :)
LOL, geez the name of a toxic metal for a medicine god. (I know they didn't know better back then) hahaha
LOL
Optimistically Skeptical The ancient world's idea on how to treat an upset stomach.
Wonderful 🤣
Arthur Carezzato Apollo is the Greek god of medicine (as well as many other things). Mercury is just his Roman aspect. So Apollo and Mercury are one and the same thing.
Tom Beattie no mercury is the roman equivalent to Hermes, not apollo
Imagine getting 2 of these, 3-4 Cutlass Reds, and an Anvil Crucible into a fleet together with a handful of escort fighters and bringing them into debris fields immediately post-battle to search for survivors and recoverable vessels. You could heal up an injured pilot while his/her ship is being repaired, and your escort fighters can keep any unsavory sorts from nicking stragglers before the Cutlasses can get to them.
If I get into Star Citizen, I think buying an Appollo could be fun, naming it either the McCoy or the Kelly, then setting myself up as a frontier doctor
I'd describe the Apollo as a long range ambulance with hospital ship functionality, a good half way between the two
So, medical gameplay is in at this time, where are the apollo's now in the pipeline?
Wow how far they have come in 2 years!
I really like this ship! I love the Federation Star Trek vibes I get from many of the RSI ships and this one for sure!
More ship shape. Ship shape is love, ship shape is life.
Great way to do this segment!
As a Freelancer and 315p owner, this episode made me happy!
Hurray for that 890 peek!
Very inspiring update about old ships, thanks Jared.
Where is the BMM? Last Ship Shape she was around final Concept somewhere..
They will be working on the Banu style guide when they make the Banu Defender (a 2 person fighter) which they will use to make the BMM. The concept for the BMM may be done but I wouldn't expect it to move into whitebox until after the Banu Defender is finished. It's a lot easier to work out how you want a manufacturer/race's ships to look on a small ship first instead of a huge one.
Does Jared have kids? He’s pretty good with dad jokes.
Reeven Lol
He'd be an awesome Dad
I might be older than him but I want him to be MY dad! lol
Thanks Devs! The Apollo, both variants look awesome. 👽✌👍
The Jump really came far along!!
Nice looking ship. Now, I am interested in medical field.
Beautiful Ship model
Ooh, what if there were diseases in the game. Many types, with different "virulence rating" determining the chance of contracting it when in contact with the diseased, or a source (like a plant, some animal attacks, etc). Some would be a minor nuisance and clear up on their own, some would be a major penalty and require you to seek out special drugs and/or have someone do a chemistry-like mini game on you in a medical center. And some would be a ticking time bomb to death unless you get or have the antitoxin. Penalties could include: slower movement, blurred vision, wobbly hands, less health points, difficulty hearing, occasional seizures or passing out, etc. They could show themselves sometimes with things like red around the eyes, blue lips, veins on the neck, rashes, etc. Make there be so many types that a person would need to spend time learning symptoms and know or have the cures and skill at the chemistry mini-games (become a doctor) so not just anyone could fix it. -AND THEN: biological warfare - highly illegal weapons designed to deliver diseases in weaponized form.
Hope we can switch one of the bed areas out for a full surgery area.
Want to be doing my augmentations while on the go.
Some times I watch just to enjoy Jared's weird "jiggle talk". lol
It's right at the edge of theatrical speaking performance and authentic representation of an individuals mannerisms. ;)
The other person I hear speaking as quiet and peacefully as Paul Jones was Bob ross :)
Lve you work guys :)
I like this with the ships graphically represented in the pipeline.
It's like Jarred is slowly morphing his appearance as episodes pass - in a positive way :-)
Someone should do a slideshow of his morphing abilities!
Really nice concept ship!
But besides that, ship shape just is the greatest show around, thx Jared! :D
WELCOME TO 2024, LOOK HOW MUCH PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE
I think the Design of this Rsi ship is really well made. It reminds you of the constellation
Really great ship design. The RSI lineage is super clear.
Glad to hear that the medical profession is going to be more than just Press F to pay respects-like, and that we'll need specialist ships and equipment to be really effective in this area of gameplay.
The more in-depth, the better, well worth the wait that way! o7
Discussing Apollo Medical Ship 3:50
The Apollo looks like Radeon video card!
Very nice looking ship design!
Thank you UA-cam for subtitles. Mr. Jones can't seem to find a mic that works
Here in 2020 hoping they put the Apollo on the pledge store would buy even if it’s in concept!
After my Max arrives I’d like to see some solar systems get finished. Sooner rather than later. We need space to fly our ships in!
Oh MY
GAWD!
Hey, that line is only reserved for Captain Sulu... :D
OH NO!
TheNOOBIFIER1337
you did guess its gonna be a medical ship if i remember right , good job mate
FLOGO ZGEIK a random commenter whos opinion nobody cares about. Your unsubscribtion won't be missed, unlike all the clear cut no fluff information you will miss.
TONK GUY! :D
Pvt. Duckling I really hoped someone would write that, LONG LIVE TONK GUY!
As the 300 series was my preferred ship from the original set available during initial backing, I'm interested to see how it develops...
The Apollo looks nice too.
Jared I'm loving your new attitude. Always have liked watching your updates, but is it just me or are you bringing some fresh swagger.
I love ship shape so much!!!! I want more and more!!!
I like the way that ship shape is its own show (but please do it all 2 or 4 weeks )
I like the front of the Apollo it's very RSI looking. Ships like this and other makes me have more and more questions all the time on player states in the fututre.
Certainly looks good externally!
There was recently a video done about the 600i, by a RL architect. The video centered around space usage, what makes people feel comfortable in a space and what doesn't. May I please recommend you look this fellow up, as interior design is very important for ships.
Very good episode
Good looking ship.
Great content Jared!
Like the ship shape videos focus, my question is where in the roadmap is the carrack ?
Is it a coincidence that the RSI Apollo was announced on the exact 49th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing?
Oh boy! More ship eye candy! I love seeing these new ships, and she is pretty. I do like how she looks, but I'm going to have to visit one in game. I don't think I'm going to own one until well after the game has launched, mostly just because she is such a pretty ship. Not too interested in doing medical work, but I would love to work with them.
The ship i have been waiting for! just wish i could have the 600i with a modulll like this. Good looking ship after all, but I am an origin man!
This ship is probably the one that I will choose if I had to play the game. I did not buy anything from this game at the moment but I look a lot at the development of the game and all its aspects. I can not wait to see everything that is appealing to the medical side of this game. Finally, if I think the depth of the gameplay suits me. Well! You will get my money :) Continue like this is great work and this to each Star Citizen team! I like seeing the game evolve in development.
God, the hope class endeavor got mentioned and I lost my coconuts. It's the only ship I want 0_0...
Finally they are working on the Freelancer DUR! Now I only hope we will get an open cockpit view for exploration, rather than the very narrow cockpit view on the Base model.
you know what would be cool a first middle and final whitbox layout (tour or something) a first midle and final greybox and so on... just so that they that wants to can see a from start to finish ship build.
That super quiet dude reminds me of the Moon from The Mighty Boosh
The info I am looking for. Standby for your summary on med gameplay...
Kind of sad that the passenger cabin windows didn’t make it all the way through the 890 design process.
I'm just waiting for the Reliant Kore to not be god awful at pretty much everything atm
Question: We will be able to respawn on the medic ship of our friend or guild that it is nearby if we die on battle? This ship have some transport ship inside it to carry the people who respawn to other ships or station?
love this ship inside and outside look very good!
You'll never be able to pay CIG/RSI enough that developers and engineers will be able to overcome the fact that this is a marketing project, not a development project.
That is one pretty ship.
Jared you know what we need...the Carrack! Come one Jared, update us! ;D
Not for me but I'm glad they are adding more variety to the verse!
Okay this is sleek. I wanted a side grad, or alternative to the Red. But this will hopefully open up the possibility of doing lots of NPC missions as a mobile clinic.
I'm expecting the Red to be the loaner ship. So they can still get us the red while we wait. And the red will allow testing on a small scale of the medical game play.
Now I hope people will finally start asking harder questions on what the game play will look like.
I've talked about this before but I personally don't like how everyone is able to insta heal themselves so quick. We need a real breakdown in this aspect. More types of supplies, bandages, injections for various things. Things that ideally but not exclusively the medics would have ready access to.
I like to harken to an analogy but not a direct copy to traditional MMO heals, buffs and debuffs and their associated remedies. Both instant, short and longer term effects and affects.
Secondly is the technology and tools medics should have either on their person or as a station in their ships.
Such as diagnostics and accelerated healing of major or grievous injuries(but this I mean traditional damage and debuffs associated)
But Im torn and I think many will agree not to overcomplicate this game play. That's why I'm in part leaning towards traditional healer/ support player established paradigms in MMO's. Just do some form of conversion to sci-fi and Star Citizens theme.
I want this ship and the Carrack! :D
Nice view out of the window. This is one thing I miss in the gamification... Why don't we have a leaderboard for, mining, cargo and kills in the PU... If I want to hire someone I want to know if they are the best in their guild. Every job should have some stats. Time of delivery, never interdicted, and unit of cargo delivered. Kills with NPC and with other players.... Turret kills for my Hammerhead... what do you guys think?
A amazing Ship! :D
Is it safe to assume that the same beds will be found in the Polaris' medbay?
Nice but what about the Hull ?
