    Just finished repairing a couch that had scratches from dog claws all over the seat area (some deep). This product is nothing less than amazing. Color match is perfect, all signs of any dog damage totally gone. Looks brand new. Very easy to work with. Follow the video instructions, take your time. This product WORKS !

    Good video. While it may be a bit long and dull at times, I actually appreciated the fact that you didn't "cut away" during most of the processes... showing exactly what was involved and proving that the product worked as you claimed during application. This is the way product videos should be created. Well done!!

      +kuei12 - stop cows from senseless slaughter?- stop eating hamburgers and meat products! - leather is just a by-product from this - would you rather the skins be thrown away?? It is not like the fur trade where the animal was just killed for their fur.

    • @kuei12
      @kuei12 8 років тому +4

      Unfortunately, cows taste great! I thought meat was the byproduct of people buying leather.

Of course, if you repair one section of a badly worn, faded and oxidized chair, it will stand out as looking like new! to view an after photo of the completed repair, visit: www.leathertouchupdye.com/fix-cracking-leather-leather-repair-video/

    I was only looking on repairs for my bag but your tutorial is so engaging.. so useful..so i just had to start on my cracked/torn little cleopatra seat boosting with confidence from watching this video...that was at 11 pm yesterday...lol..googling for substitute materials in between layer after layer of anything concocted from commercial to dated recipes(i hastily made a filler compound on the stove learning only after putting it on that i was reading a 19th century treatise !)...anyway..i'm still at it and enjoying myself..it must be the solvent fumes..the nth coating now drying and i can't wait ........ seriously, for beginners/spontaneous DIYers like myself a caveat should come with these videos IT IS NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS! (note to myself)

    • @Leathertouchupdye
      @Leathertouchupdye  9 років тому +78

      +Venkman83 Hello, we would like to think of it as " which now leaves with a solution to your problem " - meaning - you now have the ability to make the leather look like new again. If you are seeing the age and soil of the other panels - SIMPLY clean the rest of the chair -let dry- wipe a few coats of dye into the WHOLE CHAIR so everything looks, feels and lasts like NEW again. - this is what most customers do when they feel comfortable with the performance and application of our leather repair kits. This video was created to show you what you can do with our leather repair kits in your own home - we chose the worst area of the chair - to make it look like new again. Refinishing the rest of the chair is a piece of cake. - so to speak. Thank you for taking the time to comment and for choosing www.LeatherTouchupDye.com !

    • @M3g4t0n
      @M3g4t0n 8 років тому +3

      It doesn't. The white filler just fills the cracks. He uses various other products to match the couch's colour pallet. Perhaps if you watch the whole video, you too would have noticed it.

    • @aymed92
      @aymed92 8 років тому

      I can imagine it becoming rubbery after it dries, otherwise its not logical. There is such materials that are creamy in an alcoholic solution, and when they dry they go back to polymerised plastic/rubber and stick to the material surrounded by it as if you melted a candle on leather. this is only my theory, if this thing is true.

    • @DwightMS1

      Love to know how you got on with fixing your chair, and how long it took, plus how much it cost. I have a chair which a little larger than this one, plus an oversized 2 seater and an oversized 3 seater that need some TLC. He worked on this chair arm over about 4 days. I recon it will cost me about $400 to $600 to buy all the products to fix up both my soafers and the chair and at least 2 weeks work.
