Solvent based contact adhesive
Backing fabric

Sellotape
If you are repairing a tear in Leather then a leather glue repair kit would be needed.

Great video - exactly what I needed. I have a small tear just like this on the side of a vintage car seat (Morris minor vinyl) that I want to repair. Can I ask what the backing material that you used is? Is it just another piece of vinyl or something else?
