"I have 53 games I've never played"
Those are rookie numbers.
I'm too scared to look
According to SteamDB I've played 261 of 859.
Oof.
Ha! Killing it with 485 of 1113 played! That's a whopping 43%!
And the sale right now is making me feel better about how much I've spent!
410 played, 2572 unplayed. Might be a long video if I ever recorded an attempt to play all of those. And actually impossible as that includes a few online only games that no longer work. Gets much worse if I load up GOG Galaxy 2.0 with most of my libraries combined. No accurate way to show played vs unplayed but total in owned games is 4718. You know that old stereotype about women who cant see a shoe sale without filling up a few bags. For some people its games instead of shoes. (Small side note my first steam purchase of Portal was in 2007, so that is spread out over 13 years of purchases)
While you guys think this is cool there's people who are wishing to buy a new game but they can't
I can only imagine how many people raged when they saw their ultimate game played half-heartedly for 12 seconds
I got a bit hyped for Juiced 2. Shame it NOPED, and not entirely sure he'd be grabbed in a 15 minute preview.
Played Path of Exile.
Never pressed P for the "whaaa?"
Also: first game on the list is Bastion, never plays it >.
He immediately stopped playing FTL. He could've at least played it for 10 minutes.

Woah, 60fps... Looks good. Not sure if I've seen a 60fps upload from LTT before.
I was thinking that, i think it is their first 60fps upload.
I'm sure they used to do them before, but they stopped for some reason.
Yeah looks awesome, future is near guys.
I'm guessing they did this because screen captured game play was a prominent part of the video and they will not be switching to 60fps for all of their videos. This is just a guess and I have no data to support this. I did hear a small discussion on their podcast about filming in 24, 30, or 60 fps and they mentioned doing 60fps on Channel Super Fun because viewers of that kind of content would expect it even though some of the camera crew at LMG disagreed and thought it should be shot at 24 or 30 fps (I cant remember exactly but it was not 60) I also remember hearing that they would continue to shoot at 24fps for the more cinematic content. Again I must note that this is from my memory of a discussion on the WAN show and may not be 100% accurate.
Yeah, I wished they could've uploaded the FPS Test with Shroud in 60FPS
Me: Why’s he using a laptop?
Linus: Sponsored by MSI!
Me: Oh.
That was my exact question as well.
To be fair, the laptop he was using was plenty powerful enough for his back catalog of games.

Your treatment of FTL in this video is actually criminal.
Same for Mark of the Ninja. He has a few games he definitely needs to play.
The glossing over of that game pains me so much. One of the best dollar per hour games I have ever bought
I actually thought he was skipping it or saving the best for last. Such a tease!
I mean the fact that he said Dungeons of Dredmor is, "Diablo with bad Graphics" was probably the stupidest thing I've heard in a while.

OHHH MY GODDDD IT MUST BE AN IMPOSTOR
I feel like it's unfair to use Doom Eternal to show how it performs with a modern AAA game as it is ridiculously well optimized
How is no one talking about the fact this is the first 60 fps vid ltt has ever uploaded??
I noticed it right away, love it.
I thought I was the only one who noticed lol
Technically there have been videos uploaded at 60 fps before, such as xbox reviews showing off consoles being able to run games at 60 fps, which had 60 fps screen captures of consoles running games, but the live action was still 30 fps. Same with techquickie, there was a video over there uploaded at 60 fps talking about streaming settings. 60 fps animations and gameplay footage, but the host was recorded at 30 fps.
More accurately, I believe this is the first video where their cameras are rolling at 60 fps.
It isn't the first one to be 60FPS though.
Doesn't affect me... I watch at 240p
Linus: "I have *FIFTY THREE* games in my Steam library, that I have *never* played!"
Me: *stares at over 600 games never played in Steam library*
Lmao I stopped buying games just because they are on sale for that reason. I only buy now if I plan on playing the game within a week or so. Half the time by the time I want to play the game, it's cheaper than the original sale price, or I just never play it
@@MotoguyX5 Yeah I checked mine and I only have 40 unplayed, some of which I have actually played on console but don't have hard copies of anymore. I can't imagine the mindset that acquires 600-2,000 unplayed games. The money spent there is probably enough to start a new hobby.
@@echodelta2172 Yes and no. I have just under 500 games at this point and it's largely due to humble bundle. $12USD a month used to get me about 6-8 games, now it's a guaranteed 10. Always get at least one or more big title game (at least 1 $60 game anyways) that I end up playing leaving me with a bunch of games I may or may not play. Regardless the point is I've actually spent very little on my game hoard so the cost to entertainment ratio is amazingly good.
Only 74 for me. Though I am questioning a few of them in both the played and unplayed lists.

It was more powerful to willfully omit it. It's psychology, you've been trained to remember LTTStore.com
Relatable i didn't get my daily LTTSTORE.COM dose
linus is very smart, the reason he says it everytime is to condition us to think lttstore.com everytime he drinks water from the bottle, because he can't say it in the sponsored videos like this one, because the sponsors would agree or appreciate directing viewers to other links than theirs.
He has conditioned us to advertise to ourselves

@@SimplyTheSloth Ditto. I have a weird love/hate relationship with LTT videos. On the other hand, the subject matters are interesting, but on the other, the videos are almost always a letdown. Hastily put together fluff pieces with very little information and many times that information isn't even correct or was provided by some company sponsoring the content, making everything completely untrustworthy in the first place. LTT could be a proper source of information if they just slowed down a little and toned down the horrible sponsorships and ads they run on their vids. Use twice the amount of time to make a video that's twice as long, and do only one video per two days. And do one ad/sponsorship/promotion per video instead of fucking three.
Or then use one team to do these crappy 5-10 minute promotional fluff pieces and use another team to make actual, proper content, taking a few notes how GN do their videos.
LTT is literally just an entertainment channel. They make videos for the lols. Not to provide any meaningful information that they produce themselves. Most of the info you get on LTT videos you can get straight from the marketing materials for the thing the video is about.

Ditto. Not accounting physical copies, on steam and GOG alone I broke the thousand game milestone.
I only have 12 games in my steam account lol
Pc games are so sht
@@wqbb287 how dare you target pc gamers. PC games are the epitome of gaming you peasant smut. I'll laugh while you bleed your eyes out in 30 fps
Oh man, I didn’t even know Cave Story was on Steam. Easily one of the most enjoyable games I can remember. I hope you put some time into it!
they got cave story on everything at this point
@@Coldsteak just Nintendo consoles and steam but yeah a fair amount of ports
I cant believe you just went through the best PC Melee FPS action game ever made, so quick and dismisssd it without a word. Dark Messiah.oh and it could bee a nice promotion for sponsor... when you read out loud MSI, it sound almost exactly as "A Messiah" ^^ Seriously, this game is so good I still play it, I dont know a game that did melee fighting better.
“Terrible voice acting” LGR would like to know your location
Ja. Why does LGR do that?
Somewhere in British Columbia.
Never thought I’d notice it but the 60 fps hit me like a truck
Edit: I do like it though, it was just unexpected
Looks weird AF. :C
@@Taupila Only because you're used to the traditional stutters. =)
Guess Linus was overruled because he once stated he hated the "soap opera" effect. I love it though finally some decent frame rate.
I wish they'd roll with 60fps for all vids
TrueGamer007 I like it more too, I know Linus has talked about making the switch for a while, but 24 fps is just so “cinematic”
Linus literally says "I just want to go home"
Quality content
53 games is "doable". I have *literally* 600 games between years of PS+ and months of EGS free games, and my steam library filled with humble bundles and sales and stuff. In 2017, when I realise how much stuff I had, I even decided to stop buying new games (spoiler alert, I bought a couple over the years but like 5 per years max, when obviously I was bying games in the tens per year). And in 3 years of going mostly through my backlogs, I played tons of suprising titles that I would've never touched otherwise (and I managed to save tons of money as a nice side-effect).
Only problem is, I still haven't played RE(make)3 and that kind of breaks my heart...also in 2021, I start running into very mediocre if not bad games :'D that was bound to happen at some point. But Control and Concrete Genie are free in february on PS+, so I guess I'm okay!
Linus: How do I run (in an FPS)?
Also Linus: never played a Hitman
Linus again: playing Inside but lacking patience
Dude linus is like 50 years old what 50 year old is competent at multiple video games
Yeah, by the point he reached Inside he was clearly dying to go home.
@@benkoskinen3871 Linus is 33 wtf you on about. Besides, he grew as a gamer.
Also, he never played Hitman and started with Absolution. That's a no no.
"Tryong"
Yep, I'm that early, I guess.
Yessir
Same
Heeey man how you doin'? Let's attack fascist Germany
yeah
Yeah I saw that shit too
I loved the Bastion games. The music in the games totally make it worth playing on it's own.
Now I want to know if Linus ever got around to finishing Inside and Bastion - definitely two of the best told stories in games ever IMO.
"Its so smooth it hurts"
Are you sure you didn't mean...
*_hertz_*
pretty sure that"s on purpose
Seeing Linus in 60fps is a totally different experience
Its like... he's a real person or something
@@shadowbanned7575 is he though?
Not judging, just making an observation: You can tell very easily by this video, that Linus is a little bit of a casual when it comes to gaming, several very well known games in here and he's like "oh cool game I never saw before" Cave Story was probably the most shocking one to me...
Also 53 unplayed games? lol that's nothing if we're talking Steam...
So smooth it Herz, good one
