just in case you were wondering, with Hanks set up that wood wall is known as a French cleat it means you can make, or buy, the shelves so its a modular design that can easily be taken off and changed.
You missed the best part of Asmon's setup, he admitted to it as he watched your Starforge video: When he had that old setup it was with a PC he didn't check for compatibility with the case all that well, so the only way it ran was with an open panel and the stand fan blowing air right into it. At 33:53 you can see the stand fan on standby right on the lower left corner.
In Austin's defense, I had a diffused panel light once that even at 1% was still way too bright, so I had to do the exact same thing he did to diffuse it even more 🤣
well ... i rubber banded a piece of paper to my desk lamp from IKEA, bright enough for most applications but temporary enough when i want to focus on the desk for more proper stuffs like paperwork and stuff
The house I moved into has a dark green wall behind my desk so I have to have the panel facing me again. Might get a white sheet to hang behind my monitor in the future to solve the issue

Not everyone lives in a place where power goes out frequently, last time my area had a power outage was 12 years ago. I don't see the need to spend money on a ups when it will serve me once only every 10 years maybe. @@rekt_ggit’s not good just for when the power goes out. It’s for voltage fluctuation and surge protection. My house runs on solar so it’s essential since it switches from solar to the grid every few days if it’s not sunny and the batteries run out. It doesn’t happen often but it’s frequent enough.

I can't express how excited I was to see you review LGR! He absolutely doesn't get enough recognition in the UA-cam community, especially considering how long he's been a part of it.
I do love the way wendell's is on first blush completely immaculate and then you see the absolute jank that ties it together.
I'm glad someone finally exposed the UA-camrs we all watch 😂
Their crimes will never be forgiven.
I certainly dont watch the garbage Hasan
@@knockdadeathstroke3799 I certainly don't care what your watch history looks like.
@@knockdadeathstroke3799that’s right brother. I only like watching Hank Pecker because he’s a true blooded American. non of that Hasan liberal
About the ElectroBoom radio, my man, that's really really useful for debugging EMI issues or immediately finding out whether a beefy H-bridge is indeed firing. When a device misbehaves, you can hear it on the AM.
I love seeing Luke in videos again. So happy you're back, homie
to notice you have the bliss wallpaper there that i also have on my pc because its literally calm af taken by a real photographer i love it XD
just in case you were wondering, with Hanks set up that wood wall is known as a French cleat it means you can make, or buy, the shelves so its a modular design that can easily be taken off and changed.
In this case it is completely custom made tho, not store bought.
@@sagerwraps9990 Oh yeah definitely
You missed the best part of Asmon's setup, he admitted to it as he watched your Starforge video:
When he had that old setup it was with a PC he didn't check for compatibility with the case all that well, so the only way it ran was with an open panel and the stand fan blowing air right into it.
Might get a white sheet to hang behind my monitor in the future to solve the issue
i genuenly love elektrobooms set up, it somehow blends personality, kozyness and modern professionalism, 10/10, 100/100
This is the kind of React content I'm a fan of.
Roasts are always enjoyable
I watched the video(s) of Hardware Unboxed building his special round desk setup a couple years back. He's quite the wood worker and converted that space all on his own.
Linus is like the big boss of Tech, you know he's respected when you scroll down through the comments and you see other famous people like "THANK YOU FOR ROASTING ME SIR! MAY I HAVE ANOTHER SIR!"
and other people are like "Man I cant wait until I become famous so Linus can call my gaming setup garbage."
lmao
hey things are looking up for you man, with what just happened recently now YOU have a legitimate chance to call Linus garbage.
His setup is fine, it's the person I'm referring to.
@@War_Daddy103 real and true. btw, while you're down the rabbit hole, look into the controversy where LMG was called out for mistreating employees, hostile workplace environment, awful corrupt management (his wife is/was the only HR rep), etc. ... but ofc, the only video covering it at the time was bombed with dislikes by Linus fanboys who had never even worked there, as they always do with anything remotely criticizing Linus (as Gamer's Nexus pointed out towards the end of his recent long video on LTT/LMG)
(edit: go to 37:44 of that video to see what I mean about this being a pattern with linus' lapdog fanbase)
Didn't aged well
@@invinsible1987like meat on a hot summer day lol
"Mark: proceeds to roast himself"
"Linus: Proceeds to call himself short"
Guys, THIS WAS SO FUN! Thank you for this neat crossover!
pog content
32:55 👀thx to Kon 👀 most of the Sidemen's setups are almost perfect
It's a good thing Hank had his office remodeled recently. L & L would have had a field day with the way it used to look.
6:32 It's a Universal Audio 610 mic preamp and DI. $1200, baby.
Love that Kitboga was on here. He does great things and more people should know about people like him and his work
We know and love that boy.
no joke.!!!!

"I feel like I'm somewhere I have to pay to be" - The perfect description from Luke.
With Anne being a graphic designer, her setup tracks. 😊❤️
🏳🌈
The thing on the desk that looks like a soldering iron is an outboard microphone pre from Universal Audio, the Twin 610 or something I think.
honestly, build redux has been a sponsor so many times that i wouldn't be surprised if LMG is actually on their christmas list
not sure if the christmas lists of pr departments count.
Considering Steve from Hardware Unboxed has to go up against EA's weird DRM, I'd say yes, all those computers are needed. Also he designed and built the entire space himself with his own hands so no compromise was needed
Nah T-Pain had the like the 2nd best set up, but we really skipped because of the controller preference?
30:33 The green audio box thing is a Roland Voice Transformer. You can shift your voice up and down, and apply effects
Ya know what not going to lie that was fun, and a fun way to shout out other creators while using them for content. This could be a regular thing honestly just keep on grathering creators for this kind of video I'd always tune in.
I’ll co-sign that. Would love to see at least a round 2
Ah, I finally have something in common with internet celebrities: we have messy desks.
Thank you all for participating . huge piece of content in reality with the massive crossover. to say nothing of youtube rewind but a big collab nonetheless . cool video idea LTT . i love wired peripherals and audio equipment so the rat's nest is strong . everything else is so weird.
Linus crying and Luke laughing at Asmon's OG setup is beautiful comedy gold.
4:48 shout out to Hank Green hope u continue to get better you are a great guy and personality. Also glad to see u randomly on a LTT video. A nice confluence of things and or people I like lol.
The "Soldering iron" unit is a UA Solo 610 mic preamp. Which is a REALLY nice one.
Linus is legendary at his ability to entertain and inform.
i swear to god
Vikkstar123 had the best setup to me.
Not just his custom room being awesome, but also very clean PC desk setup with only one long wire showing for his wired headphones.
Thank @KonFilms for that he's legit the goat of setups
@@SIN_N0MBRE944 I appreciate you sharing this information! I will definitely look them up.
I loved Wendell when he was at techsyndicate. His background engagement was some of the best banter. I miss those days but its completely understandable why he left. If he had a bigger platform with a better budget, he would do some amazing things
Just a note, Hardware Unboxed actually have a video of the desk being made as they built it from scratch. Very cool video.
And when you're doing in-depth testing, you do need that much space
Hey guys and thank you @therealshadow99. Yeah I need that much space, more would be ideal really. I generally run a minimum of three test systems at the same time, especially when motherboard VRM testing. Also in the big desk area we have a full time editor as well, so he takes up a bit of space ;)
Props to Anne Munition for using a UPS, too many streamers/pro players are just raw-dogging wall power and it kinda frustrates me.
wholeheartedly agree lol
Not everyone lives in a place where power goes out frequently, last time my area had a power outage was 12 years ago. I don't see the need to spend money on a ups when it will serve me once only every 10 years maybe. Edit: some people have talked about power surges, an outlet with a power surge protector on it is a hell of allot cheaper than a ups. That's what I have and still never has gone off once.
Exactly, and the batteries die many times between drop outs.
Intelligent person vs someone who "asks chat for the solution to their problem".
32:04 "The Costco special"
I work at Costco and We literally have that chair in our break room 😂😂
I think a video that compares all the different "Work Out At Your PC" systems would do pretty well.
Would also be nice to have some non-scuffed reviews that compare them side by side. Most of what I have found is fake reviews or people who have only ever used the one they just bought which doesn't tell me all that much.
Thanks LTT! Each time you release video like this, it motivates me to clean the dust off my work table, so I did it again today. Till the next setup roast!
but what kind of dust :wink : :wink :
@@PrograError possibly cheeto dust
When Linus laughs at your set up, you know it's bad!
💀💀
"The worst they can say is no"
Looked like he wanted to cry when looking at asmon
At least they didn't let him drop any of it.
It was Linus and Austin evans that made me want to build a pc. And I finally did it last weekend. Only took me 4 hours to have windows running and games downloading. Love that you guys make it understandable for everyone. Even a filthy construction worker
27:15 That's not just a spindle of discs, but rather a disc dispenser where you hit the button and it pops one out for you!
11:26 "Standing desk? Nah I got a running desk."
Hardware Unboxed and Jayz setups are awesome and the related videos to them on their channels are worth watching
we need an entire episode on Asmon's setups! :D
My God, its awesome to see more Luke! Really nice vibe in the videos, please keep it going!
This was really fun!! Always great to see a peek behind creators and celebrities
From roasting Chinese set ups to roasting Jesus's set up 💀
😐
You forgot Gamers Nexus...
where was Steve in this video? would have loved to see him
Neil Blomkamp's setup was a nice surprise! For what it's worth, I thought Elysium was okay, maybe a 6/10. Chappie was rough though, lots of things wrong with that one unfortunately.
Would have been interested to see Steve's (GN) setup, have to imagine it's the most utilitarian and unremarkable thing ever, in the best way possible
