"You got me ramyun again?!?!?!"
Claire complaining but still being a responsible taste tester 🤣🤣🤣
You guys are unbelievably entertaining and great at sharing not one but so many ways using classic Korean ingredients. Thank you 🌸
Thank you for supporting us with a sweet comment!😍
I agree 💯%!
@@adterpandrea Very much so 💕
@@AaronandClaire Anytime 💗
I was fortunate enough (thanks uncle Sam) to live in Korea for a year and fell in love with the cuisine. My family drives 45 min-to an hour EVERY Sunday to enjoy Korean food and we always say how awesome it would be if we could make things at home. Your channel is PERFECT! easy to follow recipes with added levity and fun. Glad I found you! Can you do my favorite: Oh Chingo Bokumpap (Spicy Squid)?
"These peppers are not spicy at all"
"Lets add 1 Tbsp of chili flakes!"
That's the stuff!🤣
Aaron, I hope you get to write a recipe book someday, soon. Unless it’s already done and I’m not aware of it 😅.
I hope it too😍😍
Omg, I’d buy it in a heartbeat ❤️
@@AaronandClaire I really wanted to make the Korean bbq recipe but my local Korean Market only had the very thin pork belly, can I still make this recipe with the thin meat, can I use other meat too??
“I’m not responsible” 🤣🤣🤣
Aaron and Claire's videos make me happy and hungry at the same time, Thanks!!!
So happy to hear that! Thanks!😍😍
“Don worry bout it” I always love that line. ❤️
I made doenjang jjigae from your cookbook last night and my husband and I devoured it all! It was so amazing and flavorful and rich! I was a bit sad because I didn't have zucchini or radish, and I had to sub white mushrooms for the shitake mushrooms, but it was still seriously amazing! I can't wait to try it with the proper ingredients, but I'm so glad that it turned out so well even without everything!
As an American living in Korea I absolutely LOVE this channel. Now I don't feel intimidated by the ingredients in the markets!
I usually make a simple mug soup with mine. One spoon of doenjang, a sprinkle of dashida, a teaspoon of minced garlic, and pepper and korean chili flake to taste. Stir in hot water from the kettle and you have a nice cup of soup if you are in a hurry in the morning or if you just want an easy soup side dish. I eat this with rice and a fried egg for breakfast if I'm feeling lazy. Great episode I was happy to see this after the gochujang episode.
Ohhh perfect simplicity I love this!
As someone living alone, this concept is also great to apply to a bi-weekly vegetable soup stored in the fridge. I boil a bunch root vegetables in a pot full of dashi broth before adding leafy/softer greens, then store that pot in the fridge for 3-4 days. When I want soup, I take out 2 ladles worth and heat it up until boiling before turning off the heat and adding the ingredients you mentioned! (only takes a few mins longer to reach boiling than the kettle takes) Or you can make Japanese miso soup with miso, tofu, wakame at the end. Very versatile base and great if you want to include some solid veggies in your breakfast. But I totally do what you do when I have no veggies to use up, the flavor is just that great.
I needed this video!!! Thank you, Claire and Aaron!
I KNEW it! 😍🤣
된장찌개 이거 진짜다...
진짜 한국 식당 중에서 한우를 주력으로 취급하는 좀 고급스럽게 파는 곳의 맛
I love when Claire says "This is it". =)
Tell me about it! 😍
My local Korean market was out of cheonsachae, and I was so upset! I ended up with a cucumber kim chee type of salad. I was craving a cool dish. Could you do some nice summer dishes that are cool and refreshing? I bought a tub of doenjang because it was on irresistible sale price. Now I can really enjoy it! Thank you both!!!
You can try any crunch vegetable with that doenjang dressing! Trust me! It's gonna be soooooo refreshing!!😍
I love how Claire's eyes light up when she gets a bowl of rice! She's so happy! 😄
You help inspire dinner on many nights. Thank you for these!
I think Claire needed rice AND a beer with that 1st dish! 🤭
Always! lol 🤣
I might be making a sacrilege but I use doenjang whenever i want to add flavor and to substitute a soup (i add it to the water when making couscous)
Oh yea that’s def adding some umami!!
Thank you so much for making this video! I had requested it so I feel like you guys are listening which is amazing! Your videos are so awesome and you really help me get creative with ingredients that I have lying around the house and don't know how to use up. I hope we can see a video on different types of miso paste and how to use them, soon!
Challenge accepted!!😎
Man. Claire has the best job EVER!!
Watching this before sleep is a big mistake. I'm so hungry now 🤣

Thanks so much for the recipes 👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you so much, Aaron and Claire, for spicing up our lives with your delicious recipes!!
Now I have got always a big jar of prepared sauce for Gochujang Doenjang Muchim in the fridge because I LOVE it.
Just tried it with Avocado (yes, you read it correctly, Avocado!) cause I was lacking green pepper or cucumber, and I have to say its a great combination!! South American creaminess meets Korean spiciness, very tasty!
Thanks so much! You really made this video! Time to dig out my soybean paste
Love your recipies!!! I'll definitely try these 😀
Please let us know how it was!😍
I got a tub because I was kind of interested in what it would taste like, and I just threw stuff together to see if it would work.
I got some sweet potato, and microwaved it in the oven (to reduce cooking time).
Got a bowl to mix some soybean paste, ginger powder, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, sesame oil, black vinegar, and black pepper together.
In a pan, I heated up some olive oil and butter. I set the potatoes in it to lightly fry up the already cooked potatoes.
I flipped the potatoes over and let them fry some more.
After I was good with the color, I covered the potatoes with the sauce until completely covered and well seasoned.
I removed the potatoes, but left the remaining sauce in the pan.
After that, I added some scrambled eggs to the pan to soak up the rest of the sauce.
I covered the potatoes with the eggs and ate it with some Sriracha sauce.
Much awaited video 😀
Wow, thank you for these great ideas for doenjang paste! I've been using it to make ramyeon but there are obviously so. many. more. things to do! I love your channel. Great job, you two.
