"Respect for her human rights" NOW THAT IS A MAN right there lmaooo
That's how I survive at home. 🤣🤣🤣
“Good boy” lol
I doubt you respect men’s rights though.
I often thought of that in other videos. Good job protecting your wife 👍🏽
dimsumboy22 what makes u think that
I REALLY appreciate how he tells you what you can omit and why, and what to do instead... so many other recipes don't. Love it!!!
"Hello from Seoul!" ahhh, hearing that makes my day.
Hello from Australia, hope you guys are doing well and I can't wait to turn my leftover kimchi into this after work today!
Hello me is also Australian 😁
“You wanna know why tofu is cut this way? I don’t know why, please don’t ask.”
"You wanna know why?...
I don't know. Please don't ask."
....
You're amazing. 💖👀🙈
But what if we do really want to ask 😂 😂 😂 😂
I had some leftover kimchi that sat at the back of my fridge for awhile. It's too sour to eat as a side dish, but it made the most tasty kimchi stew I've ever cooked (even for a first attempt). I didn't have any meat, but even with mushroom stock, it was really good.
Perfect, I just bought some kimchi for this reason. Love when you post just when I need it
Awesome!!! Let's wait for your kimchi to get tastier! 😆😆😍
@@AaronandClaire I can't wait to make this stew !
I bought the black claypot because of this video. I want to cook like Aaron and eat like Claire. 😋😜
“If you don’t have perfectly sour kimchi, even the god of Korean cooking....can’t help you” 😳😳😳
*"Respect for her human rights" Reminded me of when they blurred out jhope's face when he was on the rollercoaster for his "human rights" lmao*
I have some kimchi in my fridge and been meaning to make something with it!! And AARON I STARTED TO LIKE GREEN ONION MORE AND MORE CAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR RECIPES !! 😊😊
Haha So nice to hear~!!! 😎See? It's YOUR favorite NOT mine! 🤣😋
Green onion is best onion confirmed
yesss! we all love green onion after aaron's recipes!
"Our precious friend, green onion"! Aaron said this in a different video, I've been repeating it ever since.
Make oil with green onion and ginger on low heat for the ginger then use as a condiment for rice, chicken or fish, so delicious.
i love how you guys always add some humor to your videos
Thanks~!!! 😉
I seriously love everything about all your videos! From the short intro, funny humour, hands gestures with voice over, calling Claire, and those great + simple recipes! Of course, Claire is a cool taster and responsible dish washer too :p Keep posting :D
Thank you for enjoying our videos! We are so flattered! 🙏😊❤
Yes, seriously got down every small detail! I did watch your old videos and you have improved so much! I can't wait for your 1,000,000 subscribers mark!!! 😄 🎉 🎇 🍾
omg i've tried making kimchi stew the past 4 times and they were just okay. I'm going to try this way!! thanks Aaron!!!
Yay! Can't wait! Hope you like it better this way~! 🤞🤗😍
>I’ll have to watch this later, but one thing I recommend is Don’t watch this on an empty stomach... Kimchi sounds so good; also we had people get (addicted/want) kimchi.
ah.. too late for me. now i wanna make some but im too hungry to go to the supermarket 😢😭
Don’t be ashamed, Claire! You make every dish look SO delicious! ❤️
I made this tonight and it was SO GOOD!! I’ve followed other kimchi jigae recipes and have always thought there was something missing. With Aaron’s recipes, it tastes just like the restaurants. Yummmmm 🤤
I made this recipe tonight and it was delicious! I had to make a few substitutions but I still really enjoyed the flavor. I only had chicken powder and bacon on hand instead of dashida and pork belly. The rice water was a nice trick too. It all came together very fast! I'm keeping this in my pocket for quick weeknight meals. Also a bowl of rice is imperative! Thank you Aaron and Claire for always sharing great content. I love your channel!
My pleasure! Thank you for sharing how it goes. Everybody will love it! 🥰🙏
I saw this on a mukbang and HAD to try to make it. I was so happy to see that you had posted a video on it. I can't believe how incredibly easy and fast it was!! I let it simmer for about 30min extra only because we weren't ready to eat yet and the broth was so deep and delicious. Thanks again for another awesome dinner!!❤
Me: Sees Aaron uses Vietnamese fish sauce
*Claps frantically*
Thank you
😂 😂 Love how he is being open to using non Korean fish sauce! Although I do really want to try the Korean one as Aaron says it's less saltier which is more to my taste palate! 🇰🇷🇻🇳 🎉 💕
Here in the US we are now starting to get Vietnamese fish sauce. Before that there were Vietnamese brands made in Thailand. And of course Thai brands, one kind from China, and usually at least one or two from the Philippines and at least one from Korea. I think there are too many kinds now, how can I figure this out? I keep hoping that someone will write a long authoritative review. I mean, here we see Three Crabs I think, but in a big store there might be Two Crabs, and One Crab, just from that one company! WHAT'S a GOOD NUMBER of CRABS? I've asked a lot of people and they all just laugh, nobody knows! When I was a kid there was just one brand, the worst cheapest one. It was easier for the customer and better for the store!
vietnamese fish sauce is the best! ...should be common knowledge by now.
Claire really appreciate everything Aaron cook, she never talk anything except for it's delicious. She makes me hungry by just looking at her eating
I LOVE how you added the washing of the dishes at the end... I don't know why but it made the entire video complete! Thank you for the recipes!
Haha I kinda feel the same! Thank you for enjoying our videos! 🥰
I just bought a Dduk Bae Gi so, I can make this💕 Thank you Aaron for cooking and Thank you Claire for being the taste tester, and being honest always😍 Blessings to you both🙏🏼
This looks amazing. It all looks amazing. I need it
SO GOOD! Made this today using the last of our homemade nappa cabbage kimchi (stretched with a bit of fresh garlic scape kimchi), and the result was so very fine!
Hi Aaron & Claire!
Just finished making kimchi stew using your video and it turned out really yummy! So easy.
Thanks for making the video 😊😊
Thank you thank you thank you !! You are so good at cooking, fun to listen to and i love all your tips. I just can't thank you enough !
I wish my husband cooked for me. He can make pizza, you know the kind you call on your phone and then it comes to your door. Jkjkjk he makes the best French Toast!!!
😂 😂 😂 😂 Hey, that's good enough you won't have to do much dishes!!
I really enjoy these videos. They make me chuckle a little bit and you give useful tips. Thanks!
Love you guys. So sweet together. One cooks and one does the dishes. In my household, when I cook, I clean too. Also, when my husband cooks, he cleans up too. Whatever suites your relationship 😘
Exactly! Whatever suites your relationship, that's the best thing to do! 😊🥰
Thanks for these amazing tips! It’s midnight here in Netherlands and my wife and I just made kimchi jjigae because of this video!
Wow I just made this and it tastes exactly like how my mom used to make it for me when I was a kid! Thank you Aaron!
I amalgamated both versions and it turned out so yummy. Thank you!
This is definitely going to be my go-to recipe from now on! Thank you, Aaron and Claire
My pleasure! Don't forget to check the written recipe for details! 🤞😊 aaronandclaire.com
Just moved back from Florida and my cabinets were bare for all but 20 minutes. I moved next to an H mart and needless to say, my heart is so happy when I go there! Reminds me of my time in Busan and Seoul! I want to go back someday soon but for now, I got my kimchi, and my tofu, and it’s time to make some stew on this cold day here in Colorado. Love your channel and keep up the content! ❤️
Oh wow looks delicious
i love it when my sister makes kimchi jiggae 😍 this video made my mouth water!!
As always, you never fail to amaze me.. Tried this and it's yummy😍
You, my friend, are a genius!! I am so excited to try your methods, especially the lard. I also love the options to add artificial deliciousness or not. That is a true foodie.
My kimchi jjigae secret is usually the pre-marinated jeyuk bokkeum I buy at H-Mart, and I use Japanese Hondashi for the broth so I get that sweet, sweet MSG lovin'. Haha!!
Its your fault Aaron. ITS YOUR FAULT WE DIDN'T HAVE DELICIOUS KIMCHI STEW, until now:)
😂😂🤣
Claire you have the best job ever 😍❤️ those kimchi stews look so amazing!! Yummy😋
Love getting my dose of Aaron & Claire Food Vids!
I really want to buy that gold "soup" pot in the Korean store. My Kimchi is totally sour right now and you just reminded me I needed to use it! 😊 So Thank you so much Aaron for this video reminder!!
Hope it turns out great! 🤞🤞🥰
My family LOVES kimchi stew! I would always make it with thick-cut bacon, and my Korean friends were always amazed at how tasty it was!
Yes! Love your videos and recipes
Thank you for enjoying our videos!!! 🙋♀️🙋♂️🐶💕
I have just made my first kimchi jjigae and added a little bit of lard, as you suggested. I made beef stock myself the previous day so I am not sure how it was compared to the one you used, but I have to say the kimchi jjigae was DELICIOUS and reminded me of Korea. I absolutely loved it! Thank you for your tips and funny comments :)
Hello from Sydney!! Pork belly is my favorite.... I'm drooling! You guys always make my day better!

Thank you for saying that!! 😊🙏
I made a veg version and with work- both turned out awesome! Thank you!!!❤❤
I always make this kimchi stew whenever I have kimchi in my fridge. So gooood. I swap pork belly to thin-sliced beef shortplate and let the broth simmer to almost 20ish minutes to make it even deeper. It never fails! Thank you! This one’s a keeper😊
Very entertaining! Thank you!
I just made this and am absolutely enjoying it. The best!! Didnt have lard though😖. It's still one of the best stews I ever ate. Thanks!!
I just cooked it with fake-meat mince and mushrooms - soooo delicious!!! Thank you!
I had never thought about using rice water for stock! Thats such a smart idea
This is definitely going on my to-do list. I love Kimchi stew

Another awesome recipe to try to make. Thanks love y'all
My pleasure!! 🤗
Made the first recipe yesterday with my homemade kimchi.. That was amazing!! I also added some onions in the broth and substituted the mysterious beef powder with some knorr beef stock. Added a bit of red pepper paste too to make it a bit sweet.
That was so good! Thank you so much!!
So glad to hear that!!! Thank you for sharing that with us!! 😍
Looks soo good. I have to try to make this. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure! Hope you try it sometime! 😉
Awesome! This was the first local dish I had in Korea, at some ungodly hour of the morning while on swing shift on Camp Walker during an exercise. Even the dining facility staff couldn't ruin such an amazing stew.
But they would have done even better with such a simple and delicious-looking recipe
Just ordered korean bone broth from Amazon to try this! So excited!! ❤️
Already?? So excited for your kimchi stew already!!! 🤣🥰🥰
I just made this and it’s incredible. I had to guess at some of the measurements but it seems to have worked out. Best kimchi stew I’ve ever made!
That's so nice to hear! Enjoy your kimchi stew~! FYI, I always post the written recipe on our blog for details, so hope that helps you cook more easily next time! 😉🤞 aaronandclaire.com

My pleasure! Hope you like it~!!! 🥰
made the first version of this today for lunch. It was great! Don't have access to beef broth powder, so I used chicken bouillon powder instead. Still delicious . Love your videos, and your book!
It always looks so good! My mom and sister love kimchi jigae! I hope you both have a great day! 💕

Thank you Aaron & Claire ! I made my kimchi stew today, although with cabbage kimchi, which i made 2wks ago. It tasted nice and i used beef. May be i will try it some pork belly one day. I find it had to digest pork meat. Thank you !
Ooooohhhhh . It is soooooo goood. My favorite food!!!! Blessings to your channel . Blessings to Korean people. What a wonderful culture!
Hello from Munich, I just got some ingredients to make this.
This was just perfect it tasted really good I didn’t have beef stick powder but I used Benito soup powder and it was just perfect.
Omg I can’t believed I just come upon your video. There’s no cheap Korean restaurant in town so I can’t wait to make this soup.
A perfect warming dish on cold days, and on wet welsh days! I now have to always have kimchi and pork at home to make this. It is so worth it. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!! Hope you try it sometime~! 😍😉
