This Tiny House Boat is an INCREDIBLE Floating Off-Grid Cabin

- This handcrafted cedar tiny houseboat that measures 28'x8' and weighs 6,000 lbs. The Koroc V model has a massive deck with sofas, a dinette, and a hammock that hangs over the water, plus a bimini for shade. Indoors there's a kitchen, bathroom, dining table, and a dinette with sofas that converts into a queen-size bed. It was handcrafted by Richard from Daigno in Quebec, Canada.

This float home is completely off-grid with a solar panel and batteries for electricity, a water pump to pull water from the lake or river for showering, a freshwater tank for drinking water, a composting toilet, a carbon filter for greywater, and a propane heater. There are also two roof fans and plenty of windows and doors that can help keep air circulating.
This is a beautiful build and it was fun to spend the day on the water with Richard and his business partner Özgen, touring and spending time on the pontoon boat, and even cooler to go back to his workshop at the end of the day to see where all the magic happens. Richard really does create every part of this boat by hand and we hope you enjoyed taking a peek at another of his masterpieces!

Not sure how you can call this truly off grid with a gas powered motor, but still very cool.

Beautiful craftsmanship! The layout is well planned and executed. I would want more solar and no propane, but the design is a perfect balance of indoor/outdoor living!
This is doable since every single boat we build is customized. We also have an all solar version of this boat, including the outboard engine. Özgen (ozgen@daigno.ca)

I was thinking the same! On my tiny house I only use solar and it keeps good climate control - hearing & cooling with a pioneer mini split

Beautiful wood work. The whole boat is very well designed and very user friendly, so much so that on camera you can see it.
I get motion sickness and so could never do this, but oh how I envy people who can live on a boat. Great houseboat!

That is my dream boat! I really wish I could live on a boat like this some day. When I was a child I've always wanted to have my own boat with a house on it. In my spare time I can go boating in a lake and stop in the middle of the lake and then enjoy alone. I can cook for myself. I can sit on the deck enjoying quietly the scenery around with a cup of milk or coffee. What an amazing life that is! Lol.

This is impressive. I have seen a lot of house boat designs, but I love the subtlety of this one especially.
Gorgeous build! It is just so aesthetically pleasing to look at. It almost reminds me of the curvature of Japanese architecture. So many neat elements too. I mean, could you imagine chilling in that hammock over the water?? How awesome would that be! The cushions for the bed are the exact kind of cushions that some tiny home builders/van or truck lifers should be investing in. These actually look comfortable and substantial compared to the foam ones that are typically seen. Even the deck cushions are really nice. What a wonderful space to be able to live and cruise around in.

I don't think I'd live live on a boat like this, but for a weekend getaway? Sure! It's really a splendid, mind-blowing piece of ...art. It's art. That's what it is. Wow. Also looks spacious enough to get quite a few friends to go hang out in the middle of the lake :D

Neat build. I’d love to see more solar on the roof as well as a solar canopy over the rear part of the front deck to provide more shade and shelter than the bimini top.
Love the hammock on the front - looks like an amazing place to relax.
The rooftop can be canvassed with solar panels for additional power. Also, we are currently designing a new model, Le Muskoka, with a completely enclosed front deck , and windows all around (daigno.ca/en/assets/images/textes-web-daigno-2020-en-1-1938x1232.png). I live and travel full time in my 25 foot class A Winnebago Warrior motorhome with my little dog Tinkerbell now for 2 years traveling about 30000 miles filming. I could truly live in that beautifully designed houseboat!
