- Today's video showcases my new Honda Accessory Sport grill not to be confused with the Sport trim level grill. I also show the new LED interior lighting and a problem with paint chipping on my front bumper at the panel gap.

Thanks for sharing this man, I just got it done on mine and it looks super classy with the brighter LED bulbs. The types of bulbs are T10 if anyone is wondering.
The best upgrade I did on my Accord was to replace the dangerous Hankook tires. I am not an aggressive driver. I found these tires skid on slick roads and simply worthless when driving through snow and ice. I went to Costco and bought Michelin Cross County tires. I was amazed how much quieter these tires are and how the smooth out the bumps. They are a little expensive put well worth it.
More content on the accord please! I have a black touring 2.0t and would love to see some ambient lighting inside or puddle lamps, maybe aftermarket taillights

Like the look. And the paint chip issue would really bother me as well I care for my cars and I want them to look nice and clean. But I'm waiting for a brembo brake kit to come out for it, I know it's expensive but I like to make my car fast but great at braking and the looks of course because I was looking forward to taking it to the track someday so I can push this car to it's limits.
Being a perfectionist has it's drawbacks. It's fixed now. Interesting to see aftermarket performance goodies coming out.

I always thought those interior lights where in LED white color. But then, I noticed my truck interior light was a basic iridescent light. It's makes a difference in visibility especially when you going out to the car in the night time.

I have the same car and love it. After watching your video I’ll also be getting the grill, it looks great. I would recommend the trunk lid spoiler. I have it on mine and it looks great..... I bumped a curb and damaged one of my wheels a bit. What would you recommend, getting it repaired or buying a used wheel online? The damage is bearly noticeable but it still bugs me a little. Thanks.
I prefer the spoiler on the Sport. I don't like the black strip on the accessory spoiler. Seek out a wheel repair shop. It's probably a lot cheaper than replacing it.

Long and frustrating story!!
TLDR...paint issues on a new car which I told the sales guy he doesn't do anything to really fix it so I go to the manager and he said he'd schedule me in to repolish the whole car over.
Anyways here's the full frustrating and annoying story
I just picked up a sport touring civic hatch. Love it to bits...almost. This dealer was probabaly in a rush and wanted me to get the car later today so I wouldn't have to wait till the next day. However I had to go back the next day because they used the wrong vin for dmv paperwork.
However once I arrived home upon delivery (it was sunset where inspecting the paint was hard) I shined a bright light and saw some left over coating on the hood along with swirl marks on the hood and everywhere that was gloss black. Also in the rear passenger side fender, they had some tape (according to them) and I thought the paint was cracking. So I took the car back to have it inspected and the sales guy I worked with was like I don't see anything just use glass cleaner we've inspected your car and have seen nothing. Using glass cleaner on paint is bad so I didn't take his advice. I also noticed additional paint issues and texted those photos and he gave me the same line of inspecting the car and whatever then I knocked some common sense into home and how a simple drive would cause this...he stopped replying.
Once I got home I called the manager and told him about it, took it back again and they said they'll repolish the entire car!! I really hope they don't screw up repolishing because I'll be standing around the car for 30 minutes looking for anything.
After the paint is all done and 100% then I can really enjoy this car, other then the annoying rattles which I can live with because I don't want to keep driving back to the dealer day after day...makes me think I'm in a VW 😂

have you considered getting a hondata tune for your accord? Im going with either a 2019 Acura RDX or a JLU Rubicon. Love the fit and finish of the RDX A-SPEC and Hondata will have a tune for it next year. The ELS 3D sound system is amazing!!! I'm a audiophile and it blows 99% other stereos out of the hemisphere. not to mention the seats, better graphics for the infotainment center. was not a acura fan before then but damn Im sold.

do you need to install the chrome accent to the accessory grill? I have seen one all black looked real clean.
Yes, there are 5 screws. Unfortunately I didn't find the screws until after I snapped them together and installed the grill. I had to remove the grill and reinstall the screws. Ughh.. I'm sure you can have the trim piece wrapped prior to installation if you want a blacked out look.
I have the same issue buts on my rear bumper corner. Im just gonna put touch up paint and keep going with it.
It happens on a lot of cars. I'm pretty picky. It drives me nuts.

TonyQuaz Hey Tony, I test drove a 2018 2.0t 6speed manual Sport, and I jumped on the freeway and the noise level was as low as my Lexus GS. I will be ending my lease and purchasing the Honda in a couple of months. The car is super impressive. You should test drive one.
Great to hear than Jonathan. I went for a test drive myself with the Touring 2.0 and fell in love... even my wife who never use to be a huge fan said she couldnt believe it and she loved it as well. She was really pumped driving it in sport mode on the free way.. such a joy to drive.. we are getting 1 also can't wait ..lol

Very nice and good looking mod. Unfortunately the paint still seems to be an issue. My 2014 Accord is my 4th Honda, all great cars, but the paint is generations behind let's say Audi or Mercedes. Rockchips and scratches everywhere, while my colleagues 2014 Benz looks like new, same miles, both parked outside. Should I decide to get the Accord or even Insight next year, I'll definitely go for a 3M wrap. Maybe Nardo Grey. 3M wraps seem to be holding up quite well, minimum damage from everyday use from what I've heard. My 4 year old Accord looks like crap from all the chips and nicks and scratches.

You got to realize you are still buying an Accord. It’s an affordable mid sized sedan compared to a luxury car like a Benz. The price points would probably also have told you this. Lol

You should get tint,wrap the roof gloss black. and wrap the chrome part of window trim gloss black.

that smoked chromed piece looks soooooooo much better than the chrome piece that comes with the car. I still think Honda screwed up big time when they redesigned the Accord. the 2013-15 was boring no doubt about it. However the 16-17 models looked awesome a work of art in my opinion. Then I saw the 2018 model redesign and I thought what the f**k did they do to it? Honda took a work of art redesigned it and brought out this monstrosity. I think I almost cried. lol I still plan on test driving one to see if I can look past the hideous front end. And see if the car is worth the price and that god awful front end. We will see.
How did you put the grill on without taking the whole bumper off? Just got a Touring 2.0T and was looking to get the black grill.
Using painters tape mask off the painted area above the grill and below the H. That will protect your car from scratches. Remove all of the push pins on the painted part that's above the grill. Also remove the two panels above the headlight. Reach in and start pushing the tabs out starting from left to right. There are a few other tabs that connect the grill to the lower grill and one behind the H. It will slide out. It's not very difficult. DISCLAIMER: I won't be responsible for any damage caused by the above procedure.
The Car Crazy Guy I took a brief peek under and saw that it’s pretty hard to pull the tabs out by hand. Did you use a tool to remove the tabs because it’s hard to push down on the tabs by hand it won’t even flex. I’m afraid to push on them hard as they might snap off.
Find a front bumper from a 6th gen chinese market honda inspire (same as 10th gen accord US but a different bumper)
I really want to get the interior foot well and welcome/puddle light accessories from Honda. Did you get that add on? If so can you do a video and show them at night?
My car being a Touring has the lights in the front doors. I don't have the puddle lights that mount on the rocker panel. I have no plans of adding them. Video for sure.

I have the 2017 touring. How's the performance of this year's? Do you have problems with the turbo ? I want to buy one but they all have turbo engines now and that means they can have problems over time.
Well, I sold it. Poor build quality coupled with I wanted something faster. I bought a 2018 Golf R DSG. It's so much nicer and German built. Some will say German cars have poor reliability but I don't drive as much as I used to. It will last longer than I will.

I put it back to stock before I sold the car. Sold the sport accessory grill right away.

How did you install the front grille without removing the bumper? Link to the FB Forum?
It wasn't too hard. Open the hood. Remove the small plastic panels near the headlights. Remove the push pins at the front where the painted filler panel is and reach your hand in and unclip the tabs.

By any chance did you change the headlight highbeam bulb two LED or HID?
The headlights were full led’s from the factory. It was a Touring model.

The highbeams on my sport model are not LED only the low beans
SuperWorldFan360 On Touring, the low beams, high beams and DRL’s are all LED. All other trims,only the DRL’s and low beams are LED. The high beams are halogen.

On a few Facebook forums. It's really easy. Pop the hood, remove all of the push pins on the painted panel (above the grill), remove the two side panels near the headlights, put your hands down there and start pushing the clips out.

How much did you pay for the front grill
I have a 2018 honda accord hybrid, same color as yours. I replaced the front chrome grille to a dark chrome grille, after reinstall the bumper, there is a gap between the bumper and fender, dont know if honda dealer ship can fix it.

Not too difficult. Invest in a good set of small trim removal tools.

I am having the same issue now with a chip of paint but mine is coming from the back bumper instead of the front one. Same exact issue in the same spot but just in the back bumper instead of the front. How do I fix this? Where can I loosen it up? Honda should fix this. It’s not our fault. I’m going to give corporate a call because this is unacceptable for people to be experiencing this.
Don't touch it. Take it to the Honda dealership and speak to a service writer. They will take photos and once approved you will be sent to their authorized body shop.
The Car Crazy Guy they approved me! They said they are going to send me to an authorized approved Honda shop. He told me they have to take all of the paint off from the bumper and re paint the whole thing! The situation kinda makes me worried. Did you get this done too? Overall I am happy I am approved but nervous for the outcome.
Instead of that I would invest in paint protection spells film to protect my front

I heard about those issues on the Civic. Not sure if it applies to the Accord.
I own a 2018 1.5 Sport AT. Honestly I am disappointed with the fit and finish. The gaps between hood and fenders are not even and the interior rear seats is creased on one side....etc.
If I did not take delivery of the vehicle during night hours after work I am pretty sure I will refuse to take the car.
I'm sorry to hear that. I've owned tons of cars and honestly most have small issues. One of these days I'm going to buy a Porsche. I really want a quality German sports car.
Don’t do the caliper cover. Just have your body shop spray your calipers while it’s in service for the crack in the paint.
The gap between the hood and front bumper piece is not even. Bumper looks wavy.

I can’t believe that these cars are so beautiful with plenty of tech and value for money but I have noticed the fit and finish from the Honda American factories is complete SHIT. Who the fuck checks these cars before they leave the factory?
Plenty of people reporting little problems like yours. We had a 91 Accord once and it was flawless.
I'm really going to be angry if my brand new Accord Sport does that.

Your front and back bumper uses different paint material than the actual car, you could even feel it. it’s happening to all the Hondas

Never had problems with paint on my Honda accords...Its how well you take care of it....i now have the 2018 sport.
