- Today we pop in an ASD (auto sport dynamics) hydraulic handbrake. I personally prefer standard pull up style, BUT I know its a 98% chance that whoever wins this car will want a pull back vertical style one.

The install went well and didn't really have any hiccups! Seems to work well, but a test day next week will be the only tell! Get ready for some drifting fun with this thing!

From my understanding people tap the line going into the abs pump from the master on 4 Channel cars because it’s easier and apparently better feel on the foot brake. I’ll be finding out soon enough. Sweet car!

Since you have experience with both inline and dual caliper setups, at what point is an inline not enough? You installed an inline setup in this video so you must think they are adequate, but how often do you find yourself wishing the inline setup was a dual caliper setup at a small drift event? Obviously a pro drift spec car needs a dual caliper but in regards to grassroot local drift event bros will an inline setup be the right choice? Or a waste of time ?

I bought an interior trim removal tool kit with about 8 different plastic prying tools. They really make removing int pieces super easy. I think they're "Grip" brand I bought at Northern Tool & Equipment. Worth the $7 from the bargain bin even if you use them once or twice.
I think if you change your camera's frame rate to 24 or something itll get rid of that strobe effect with the shop light.

Chelsea DeNofa yeah you're right. Fps and frame rate aren't the same thing. The ones I got are really good. I thought they'd be flimsy but they work.
How do you think it’d work in a coupe. If I used a shifter trim from a 4 door like this. And redirect the driver window to the two buttons on the right side of the shifter? To keep it clean and fully functional.

Ill be putting in new shoes tomorrow and ill try to get it adjusted really well, I've also made up a extension bar like you did. Is there anything else I should be doing, can abs play a role in stopping it from working?

Also- thinking about getting a handbrake now that I'm moving into B group at my local club. I've got an e46, and am strongly considering going dual caliper. Ideally this car will be my drift car for the forseeable future, and I don't want to run a handbrake twice- just do it dual caliper the first time around. Am I crazy for not going inline?
Inline is the way to go man. Super simple. But first, just get the stock handbrake working with an extension. The E46 stock handbrake is really good for awhile.
Unfortunately my handbrake was pretty fucked when I got the car- one of the backing plates is pretty messed up, even though the cables are ok. Doesn't seem worth fixing when I'm just running a hydro. Using soft lines works ok for you?
Chelsea, you sad something about ABS things but I can't find it one more time. Inline handbrake will never work with ABS? This car has ABS? In mine's E36 with ABS a can not get properly working inline hydro-handbrake...I think doesn't have any air inside but still doesn't want to stop immidiately rear wheels without helping him with footbrake before...

I need help haha, i want to mount myy hydro the same way but, i'm not good enough in english to undestand the part for the brake line, can somebody give me the size of the thread and the parts for the brake line, that would help me a lot, lot of forum say to mount it like you say with the abs but never mention your way. I like a pull-up handbrake so I can yank it and then downshift really quickly. At least in Assetto Corsa anyway. I don’t know shit about actual drifting.
