How to release stuck sliding rear seat-VW T5 Episode 2

- In this video I release the rear sliding row on the VW T5 Caravelle Executive. The plastic covers I remove do not have to be removed but it makes it easier to see what you are doing.

I have owned T5 Caravelles since 2005 and I have had this issue on and off the whole time! I used to just jiggle the chair violently and it would more often than not release but I had no Idea what was releasing... It has become more frequent and more difficult to release as our current Caravelle is now 12 years old. This video is a game changer!!!!!! so simple!!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!! :)
Hi Richard, thanks for sharing your experience with me. I found this is a fairly common problem and one that on the internet had no one explained how to fix. Looks like those seats all come out. Handy for picking stuff up. I was so expecting you to say you freed up those sticky mechanisms with WD-40 😁
Yeah I did use wd-40 but they don’t sponsor me and I’ve used so many cans over the years, I thought it would go without saying to get your lube out 😂

We have sort of the opposite problem in that the number 1 release is stuck because the table is in the way of it… the table also can’t be moved because the catch to release the table is being blocked by the seat… the worst design flaw! Any suggestions?
