- This video demonstrates how to install the VW Kombi Seat brackets into a Volkswagen Transporter T5 or T6 Panel Van.
The Volkswagen Kombi Seating is a versatile seating system that allows multiple setups.
The Kombi seating is available as a triple bench, 2+1 or three singles.
This video is based on the 2+1 Kombi seating, all other combos will require less of more brackets depending on your set.

Hi you can suplay and fit the seats and brackets
Got a t5 swb with a rock and roll bed in back and captains chairs up front it has the kitchen build in too . Is there a way you guys can get a pair of removable chairs behind the captains seats so we make it a 6 seater ?I’ve used the previous front row twin seat just placed and there is enough room for a pair of seats between the fridge and the sliding door

Whats the cost for doing this?
Gonna install rear 3 seat bench on my t6 so just four quick release brackets. How sidficult is this and what support brackets do i need?

It’s actually slightly harder to install the bench, mainly because you will still need to drop the tank but also the heat shield above the exhaust for the RH brackets. This means a bit more work disconnecting the handbrake and exhaust system before dropping the heat shield!

Hi John, I’m not in the shop today but I’m sure it’s 8mm threaded bar. I cut them to around 450mm length to allow us to drop the tank and leave it in position whilst we install brackets, diesel heating and other mods! Saves us having to remove completely and free’s up our gearbox jack.

Just a question do you put any waterproofing etc around the brackets???
No we don't. Same as the VW factory built Kombi's. We do treat any bare metal from drilling with primer/sealer.
You could put a bit of sealant around the holes prior to the brackets going in but we've never seen any water ingress from this area in retro fitted or factory Kombi's.

Hi would it be possible to have the seats the opposite way around ? So the single is behind the driver and the double bench seat is next to the side loading door?

Hi James, You wouldn't be able to have UK seating the other way round as the seat belt receptacle and levers on the single seat would be on the wrong side and the seat is offset so I can't see that working. Also the belt and receptacle on the double would also be wrong.
