I bought mine 7 years ago now. Spent nearly 5 years re-furbing the whole car. Whenever I go out in it, i always get asked about it. Mainly at the petrol station. Awesome car.
The car is a series 2 - based on that VIN. But strangely has series 1 interior and the umbrella. All of which can be fitted afterwards of course. But makes you wonder
I'm intrigued about the car scene in ireland especially Toyota, Nissan, Mazdas etc ... I have spent abit of time in Wicklow then I had a 190E ... Best review of a Pulsar I have seen
I had one of these about 15 years ago, was absolutely Mint and i only gave £3500 for it. It was tuned to 330bhp by a company called Hi-tec in Wigan, was absolutely rapid for the time. Miss it every day and wish I never sold it. H71 DPN was the reg
10:04 He's right about starting the car. There is something very satisfying about starting a SR20 engine. Sadly, in the US we only got the NA FWD version in the Sentra SE-R's and in rebadged Primera GT's.
@@kinggts25 I remember watching the high octane DVD series about 20 years ago when I started driving, you guys had a very similar car culture, two ours back then🙂🙂
I've had mine for about 25 years now. I've never heard one whistle like that before, boost leak or not🤔 Standard clutch is average for the year, aftermarket can obviously be anything from good to bad. Standard, they aren't particularly quick, 300 horsepower will change things up a fair bit👍
5:55 the car is also held back from the factory hence this figure of 144mph. Its geared to 161mph but would need that extra bit of power to be released in order to hit its true top speed.
Always wanted one of these but the top mounted intercooler always put me off 💥💨 I ended up trading in my Rx8 “flood machine” for a slight rougher but glorious Honda s2000 and a few quid… over 10 years ago 😮 Fast forward to today.. I still have the s2k, it sits in a lockup half of the year. This year I’m finally getting round to fully restoring before it turns to sand 😂
One of those cars if you'd a crystal ball a few years ago you could be sitting pretty today. But let's face it I'd have sent to transfer case to the moon if I ever got my hands on one
🤣🤣probably better you never purchased one I’d say a transfer box for one them is a saucy price 🤭 but to be fair everyone that had a fast car years ago regrets not keeping them now 🫣🙂
That bonnet scoop could probably have been found somewhere in every issue of Max power at one point, from Novas to Imprezas. Weirdly, it never seemed to look out of place on anything.
Funny how the steering wheel doesn't have the GTI-R logo in the centre hub like mine. And the nice stitched leather, I love this steering wheel, feels chunky
@@agustingarciaromero7384 unfortunately not this car is sold so I have no experience on those vehicles.. sorry, I can’t help better, it is an SR 20 engine so with the widespread use of that engine or a similar version of it in drifting , there should be lots of tuners who hopefully can help

They are so rare , so a lot of people have probably seen them on the net but never seen one in real life🙂
You missed the fact it has a factory umbrella built in ! I own a gtir and I’m rebuilding the engine and gearbox. Love the fact there rare now👌🏻
Yes ! He told about it after ! Oops 🙊 that’s a nice project to have 🙂

We really had some awesome vehicles for low prices back then, everyone, from my generation, regrets what they sold now!

Cracking car. Super rare as most have either rusted to a pile of dust or they’ve headed off to the scenery
🤭that’s one way of putting it 😅

Boost leak i think from recollection 🙂
13:26, I really love that induction sound! I can only remember seeing 1 GTI-R before in Naas I think it was. Good little video Brian 👌🏻
Thanks for watching! Are you in Friday?
Yep I will be down on Friday 👌🏻
Looks like a series 1, donut headrest, P badge on the front, 90-92, very nice clean looking car all the same. 👍🏻
You know your stuff !
6:31 Those are original casings/grills for the speakers, but I haven't seen one with a Kenwood sticker on before
I have one and love it!
You missed the umbrella 😂😂
Dammit I only found out after!

Cool 👌 thanks for the information, thanks for watching
They need around 300bhp to exceed 160mph. Most people who had them in their hey day had them running 1.0 bar. Mine ran 1.2bar
