I still like the string to a degree but the pros don't outweigh the cons for me to switch to it permanently. Sticking with confidential for now. I'll take a small reduction in spin potential for a very noticeable gain in control. I've heard head lynx tour is basically like hyper g but with better control so that is next on my list to try.

Tried the whole line. Hyper G in 18g is the shizzle! 17g too thick. 19g starts to get too thin and 20g literally lasts an hour or two. This string is soft, but not too soft. Very arm friendly. Used to play Volkl Cyclone Tour 18. Hyper G is weird by comparison. I have lower spin rate as it bites less than the Cyclone Tour. It also has a lower launch angle. But the creamy filling is how I can let the racket fly and the ball drops in every time, even with the lower spin and lower launch angle. Very buttery. You can literally feel the residence time of the ball on your string bed. Now I understand the term ball pocketing, because I had never previously felt that with any poly string. Love Hyper G 18! I string my own rackets and after testing the whole Solinco line, I made the switch last month from Cyclone Tour 18 to Hyper G 18 and bought a reel. Giddy up!

Mitchell HSU the tourbite soft was softer but it was way to powerful. I don’t know if it helped but once I added a dampener it might have increased the tension and helped with control a lot. I could play with it for around 2 weeks. Right now I play 4-5 days a week. After that I would notice that the shot that would be on the line or deep land just long. With that being said if my arm can handle the hyper g. I will buy a reel of hyper g 16

Yeah, I tried hyper Gs in my radical MP (360) and it felt horrible, just didn’t go well with the frame at all. Strung it up with tour bite soft and it feels like it’s capable of doing anything. But as of this reply they just released a hyper G soft so I wonder if that would make it feel better
Took your advice and tried confidential . Was well impressed . Just like tourbite with a bit more arm friendly feel on it and good playability even on a full bed as usually string tourbite in a hybrid due to firmness of it. Not tried hyper g yet might give it a go but have to many strings at the moment .
I tried hyper g and confidential....confidential is so much better, it feels softer than hyper g on the arm...more power, more spin....hyper g feels like plastic, deader....tried them both at 48lb....its good for hyper g, but I will go now with confidential with 2 more lb, at 50 to try it....but hyper g is not softer than confidential....it feels like plastic....confidential is more confortable, softer, definately better
I've been playing with a hybrid combination of co-poly (black widow 125 main) x multi in 130 gauge @ 54 x 58 lb. I am thinking to switch the firmer Tour Bite 125 as the main. What tension combination that you will recommend? By the way, I have been following your video since the first video and really enjoy them. Thanks. 👍👍
Hyper G is stiff but internally dampened, so it doesn't feel that stiff. It is not really soft as people say, just not so stiff feeling. Low power, a bit deadish. For me personally it is a bit too low powered. Total control string, more suited to players that like to keep the ball in play. Confidential is like a better, newer Tour Bite, low to medium power, keeps tension surprisingly well. It is not too stiff, but if you don't have full fast powerful swings it can be a bit brassy, but just a bit. Very nicely balanced string, well suited to attackers. Both are very grippy which annoys me, square shaped, but many will like it. They last as typical poly strings, 2-3 hours for me, and play well till they break. Head Lynx Tour is hexagonal, but with only barely noticeable profile, I like that. 1.25 is approx. 1.27 really, so slightly thicker. Lynx Tour has absolutely nothing in common with Lynx, they just gave it that name to confuse everyone it seems. It is also a control string, just like two Solinco strings, medium to lower powered with a nice pocketing feel. It is also a normally stiff poly but doesn't feel like it at all, it feels softer. Excellent playability till they break, they last a bit more than Solincos in 1.25, probably because they are slightly thicker. Excellent tension maintenance, ball is controlled always. I think that Lynx Tour enables me to play slower shots well, while at the same time enticing me to crush the ball with every shot, they have a huge span there, which is rare. Most top polys kind of require that you hit with full superfast swing non stop. Natural gut/poly hybrid would give you such a span, but at a crazy high price. For me Lynx Tour is one of the best strings all together, although both Hyper G and Confidential are among the best strings as well. As The Man said, I would also recommend trying all of them, they are really top quality. Add Signum Pro X-Perience in the mix as well. I always use 1.25, thinner strings may be different of course, slightly more power, less tension maintenance, more grip, shorter life.
Hi Tennis Spin, love your reviews. I have been having wrist and elbow pain after using my Blade 98s with a fuel bed of Dunlop’s Black Widow. Could you guide me in terms of: 1) if the Black Widow is by any means considered a soft poly? 2) is the Black Widow softer then the Hyper G or Confidential ? 3) what would be a good soft poly that will give a good blend of power, spin and comfort? Many thanks.
Hi TS expert!! Hi there, when you say they are not power, that means it’s not for hard hitters or the opposite? Thanks!! I am looking for a string that would help me create more spin and help me push the ball faster since I don’t have a very heavy or strong swing Thanks for the advice !! I have changed from Poly to Gama Live wire and NXT great feel but not sure if it’s improving my game or it’s just more comfortable Thanks again
I've tried every gauge of hyper G, including the 20 gauge (definitely don't recommend this lol). I felt the 16 and 17g were the best overall, the 18 and 19 felt too thin. If the string didn't break, it would lose tension much faster than the thicker strings, so it wasn't worth it to me.
Hyper G makes my 18 year old HEAD I Radical frames Babolat banana beaters. Punch power control spin, Available here in India for $ 7.90 cut from reel. A stringing job here in Delhi costs $ 2.50. Isn't it great ? I am down to a left handed NRTP 4.0 these days.
Hello Tennis spin, thanks a lot of great videos. I play with Babolat pure drive 2021 with Hyper G 17 @52 and I am a baseline 3.5 player. Every time I play I have some discomfort in the arm with this set up. Would you recommend trying out Hyper G Soft, and if so, at what tension? Or would you recommend trying Hyper G + synthetic gut hybrid? Or any other string recommendations for arm comfort?
It's Babolat Pure Drive. If you have arm issue, you shouldn't go for babolat, adding poly string doesn't help either. Try other racket with RA of 64 and lower, of course you won't have the power but at least you can still play and learn proper technique.
I had elbow pain for 8 months until I changed rackets and strings. I now use Babolat Pure Drive 2021 with RPM Blast strings tension 55-58 (experimenting). I am also 52 and spend the majority of my time on the baseline. 1 year has passed with zero arm pain and I hit every forehand like a rocket. Love your passionate reviews by the way.
Hi guys, a beginner here. I have a question regarding poly strings. I’ve been reading that poly strings have a bad impact on our arms in a long run (especialy if we dont have a proper technique). My question is, what tension should I use if I want to try using poly strings? I’ve never tried poly strings and to be honest, arm safety is my number one priority. I’ve no intention to become a pro whatsoever. I just want to be able to play at the fullest for fun, recreational level. Any other string type recommendations are welcome!
You’d get the most spin out of it. The edges are sharp so it really grabs the ball and it’s a stiffer string than the Solinco line, so they suggest stringing it lower. I normally string my Pure Drive at 50 pounds, but with Weiss Ultra cable I should have went do to 47 pounds tension.
Hyper-G is my string of choice, 125 at 50/48 lbs in Pure Aero Tour. But it doesn't feel soft at all, actually a bit harsh on the arm. I just bought a 115 gauge, I will see how that feels. And I will definitely try the Confidential, advice for gauge and tension?
He’s very smart but his comment on Hyper being soft is just wrong. It’s hard - that’s why it’s powerful. You should always start at the same tension (and gauge) when switching polys - if you change too many variables then you can’t be sure what caused any change in performance. I start my 17G Confidential at 52 and it plays nicely as the tension slowly drops - 16 hrs of 5.0 hitting before it breaks or I cut it out. Good luck.
Trust me...just turn the playback speed to 1.75. maybe even 2. for every one of this dude's videos. I love his shit. Dig what he says. Except that he speaks so slowly, I want to punch myself in the face.
do you think these strings will be good in a hybrid combination with a multi like x one biphase/nrg2 or natty gut? worried the shape would tear up the multi too fast
Do you recommend Solinco confidential on the main and on the cross gamma tnt2 or this solinco hyper g? I’m playing blade 18x20 v7 and I’m intermediate/advanced, 18 years old player. Great video!
Just a comment on Hyper G. I have 4 identical racquets. 2 were restrung with hyper g 17. The strings seemed very springy and hard to control. I took the other 2 racquets to a different shop and had them strung with hyper g 17 at the same tension. Again, too springy and difficult to control. The spin wasn’t the same, either. The strings have a more translucent look as well. Did Solinco change the chemistry of the string, change factories, change something? The racquets were strung with hyper g, not hyper g soft. Previously, hyper g took maybe 100 balls to alleviate the stiffness. Now, the feel is with fresh hyper g, like it needs to be restrung-way too soft.
Can you tell me guys which of these similar to Luxilon 4G? I used 4g / 24,5kg it was perfect to me. My friends advised me to try rpm blast but it is to powerful and no control. I’m looking for control and feel like 4g. Which one of the solinco is similar feel?

Love Solinco. Hyper G on my main & Vantage on my crosses. Put on my Wilson Clash. Thanks for your recommendation. Hitting the crap out of the ball.
Thats exactly my setup on the exact same racquet ! What are the odds ! Hows it working for you ?
What tension are you running ?
@@amirjon I think you're asking him, but mine is 51 (poly) 53(multi).
@@sagniksingha nice. I think I will try it down the line. I have some wrist pain so I went with Triax at 51, we'll see how that does in the clash.
@@amirjon Sounds good brother. Thanks.
We string for University of Michigan here as our store and we called Confidential on our stickers Black. Its hard on a stringers fingers😬
Just tried the Salinco Confidential and it feels great!
I use tour bite 17 on my Yonex Ezone 98 and used once the hyper g never used the confidential yet, looking forward to try that one.
Love solinco!
I have it in my DR98 now and I liked TB soft more. Yonex Poly Tour Spin was also very good in that frame
You forgot to get solinco revolution I use it and it’s really nice and holds its tension
thanks for the info harry.
Bought hyper G 17 today. Will test next. Your gear recommendations have been very helpful to me. Thanks.
What Gauge and tension do you recommend for each string? Thank you
ah man! No Barb Wire review. Good job on the rest.
I've had that before. The only string that can get more spin than Tour Bite IMO
Thanks. 👍👍
I have been waiting for this review
What about Solinco Revolution ? it seems to rate really high for spin ...
Great video. I'd like to know the difference between HyperG, Confidential and Head Lynx Tour, and what factors should I consider to pick them?
The best thing to do is try each one, so you can get a good feel for them. They are all good. Thanks for watching.
Do reviews of Tier One Strings. Those are the real deal. I almost dont want them to become popular to protect their strings for myself
I've gone to FireWire Boost for quite awhile now. Sticking with it for the foreseeable future.
What about Solinco Blue heaven revolution poly strings? I find them soft like Volkyl Cyclone poly? Any comments?
Hi Tennis Spin, love your reviews. I have been having wrist and elbow pain after using my Blade 98s with a fuel bed of Dunlop’s Black Widow. Could you guide me in terms of:
1) if the Black Widow is by any means considered a soft poly?
2) is the Black Widow softer then the Hyper G or Confidential ?
3) what would be a good soft poly that will give a good blend of power, spin and comfort?
Many thanks.
Full bed hyper g or hybrid
jordan chong full bed
Just got a set of new Hyper-G at 51 lbs on my Pure Aero, going to test it out tonight!
Pretty good huh
Love the green strings!! Hvn't tried the softer ver tho...will give it a go!
Great I will try solinco too great video
Great string and movie:) can I ask You what white racket stencil or maybe silver would you recomend:)?
Hi TS expert!!
Hi there, when you say they are not power, that means it’s not for hard hitters or the opposite? Thanks!! I am looking for a string that would help me create more spin and help me push the ball faster since I don’t have a very heavy or strong swing
Thanks for the advice !!
I have changed from Poly to Gama Live wire and NXT great feel but not sure if it’s improving my game or it’s just more comfortable
Thanks again
I’m one of those players who love Hyper G. Been playing with 17g but want to try 18g with next stringing.
I was surprised how good 18g was at 55 lbs
I've tried every gauge of hyper G, including the 20 gauge (definitely don't recommend this lol). I felt the 16 and 17g were the best overall, the 18 and 19 felt too thin. If the string didn't break, it would lose tension much faster than the thicker strings, so it wasn't worth it to me.
Hyper g 18 is just right in 18x20s
Hyper G makes my 18 year old HEAD I Radical frames Babolat banana beaters. Punch power control spin, Available here in India for $ 7.90 cut from reel. A stringing job here in Delhi costs $ 2.50. Isn't it great ? I am down to a left handed NRTP 4.0 these days.
What about solinco revolution and barb wire?
Hyper G 40lbs on the mains, Vantage 42lbs on the cross. Works well for my game.
I can’t find it in Belgium
Which would be a good option over ALU power (lime green) for a slightly softer option? Thank you.
Are thicker strings more powerful?
What string does solinco confidential play similar to for a comparison? Would it be like a Prince Tour or a Head Sonic Pro?
Would Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 compete with TourBite?
Have you tried a Confidential and Gut hybrid? If so what tension? Thx
Tour Bite Soft is what I use with gut and started using it cause I got tennis elbow. Do you think Confidential will be ok for my arm?
Hello Tour bite soft is good for your elbow?
have you ever tried Wilson Clash with Solinco Tour Bite or Solinco Hyper-G? If yes, please share a bit.
Which gauge would you recommend for the Confidential. 16l or 17?
Love your contents. Please do a review on the Weisson Cannon Ultra Cable. Heard lots of good things about it.
The racquet is the problem, not the string.
Good luck.
Mark S good advice. That’s my philosophy as well.
How did 1.20 end up
Love hyperg, trying guy/confidential from your other video and it’s pretty good
Hyper g is nice but there is like no string maintenance
What about Revolution? Outlast? Barb Wire? Etc
Those are not really worth talking about... Thanks for watching.
we have gages from 15L to 20 gage in tourbite and hyper g..
Why does no one ever mention Solinco barb wire when talking about lots of spin?
Which polyester string is your number one pick?
Confidential16L. Thanks for watching.
@@TennisSpin Thanks. I never tried Confidential 16L. Next time I will try it on. I have sent you an email sometime back.
I love the soft hyper g
Trust me...just turn the playback speed to 1.75. maybe even 2. for every one of this dude's videos. I love his shit. Dig what he says. Except that he speaks so slowly, I want to punch myself in the face.
I’m a 1.5 viewer
Where is your store located , I live in naples, I will like to buy a racket from you...
Hyper G is my string of choice
I want to try a full bed of Solinco confidential 16L on Wilson Clash Pro. What tension for cross and mains you will suggest?
Can you do a review of the Ashaway Monogut ZX Pro?
What about the revolution?
do you think these strings will be good in a hybrid combination with a multi like x one biphase/nrg2 or natty gut? worried the shape would tear up the multi too fast
It's true. Try Gamma TNT or Head Velocity instead. Thanks for watching.
Love your Videos
Do you recommend Solinco confidential on the main and on the cross gamma tnt2 or this solinco hyper g? I’m playing blade 18x20 v7 and I’m intermediate/advanced, 18 years old player. Great video!
Try confidential 16L on the main and TNT 16 on the cross @ 52. Thanks for watching.
6:20 haha love you guys!
lol
What about solinco revolution
Hyper g is the only poly I have ever used. Any recommendations?
Yonex Poly tour pro 1.25
I Don’t like Hyper G at all, I agreed with you 100% . It feels to me like a stiffer Prince Synthetic Gut w/ duraflex
In what country is Solinco string produced?
Taiwan. Thanks for watching.
Awesome. Thank you! One more - where is Gamma Live Wire Professional produced?
Can you tell me guys which of these similar to Luxilon 4G? I used 4g / 24,5kg it was perfect to me. My friends advised me to try rpm blast but it is to powerful and no control. I’m looking for control and feel like 4g. Which one of the solinco is similar feel?
Your assistant is so cute, :)
Do Babolat strings review please
