same, when I was 13/14 I loved SC, now I'm 21, I feel sick to my stomach even hearing about him, he's such a pos. It's sad that there are adults that actually find his takes authentic and valid.
I think a majority of people go through it. Some ended up with the more overly edgy content like Leafy , some ended up on far right grifters like Crowder or Shapiro, for the really lost souls they might have ended up in....the quartering. But what counts is you got out. You learned to see past the parlor tricks and used your head. You did good.

You're giving them too much credit. They turned against him because he rejected the Daily Wire.
One example to prove this is how Owens turned against Crowder when the recording of him berating his wife went viral, yet she has not gone up against people like Andrew Tate in the same maner even when there are similar videos of him berating his girlfriends out there. The only explaination for this would be her personal grudge against Crowder for how he turned his back on the DW, and not because she has geniune motives here.

There's an aspect that people never bring up with Crowder : he grew up in Quebec and was raised in french for a large part. He came out of this experience by completly rejecting his french roots and be part of what we call in Canada : Angryphones. Angryphones are far right anglophones who share a very strong anti-Quebec sentiement and they are deep into conspiracy theory, à la Rush Limbaugh.
But do you know why everyone Canada hates Quebec? It would be like if only 1 state in all USA controlled all of the politics. You barely even have a chance of becoming PM if youre not from Quebec. Literally only one person from Alberta has been PM in all our countries history. 99% of the time its Quebec and to a lesser extent Ontario. Plus all the bonus money Quebec loves to give itself and tax exemptions no other province gets. They let the country burn as long the french can stay in power.
The way after Steven says I don’t love you that his wife pulls down her shirt and starts protecting her children is one of the saddest things I’ve seen ever. I hope she is doing so much better now
I don't disagree per se, however it's also worth bearing in mind where that video came from. It does seem to be likely a staged scenario for ammo in the divorce filing, but who knows. Definitely no justification for his very poor demeanor. Just I'd take the wife's actions with a grain of salt, as she likely went into the scenario looking to make a compelling video that makes him look as bad as possible... And then he played the part well.

Just trying to keep the broader context in mind and not take one clip as the entire story. His actions suck. I don't condone talking to anyone like that, let alone your pregnant wife, but also understand that situation was also likely staged by her somewhat and certainly cherry picked to portray him in the worst light possible.

The bit about his divorce is absolutely terrifying. It's textbook spousal abuse. The single car, the wife still loving him despite being treated like garbage, the tough man paternalistic attitude and his insistance to make the whole thing confrontational, the carelessness about his wife or their children safety with dog medication, the way he order her around as his personnal slave, but then refuse to provide her the means to execute said order, the way he then twist the whole situation and try to milk it to his advantage.
It's a good thing she filled for divorce. That kind of man is the type of husband that will beat his wife for 40 years in absolute impunity.

After the 3rd straight night of no sleep and the 10th straight rendition of Baby Shark, I’m nearly ready to give my toddler whatever information they’re currently torturing me for.
He knows he's lying, downplaying things like waterboarding and arresting innocent people was a huge thing among the right in the 2000's, because remember these guys were all war mongers once.
Some of them even volunteered to get waterboarded to prove its not torture, but started freaking out after the first minute

Normal people feel extremely sympathetic as well toward women who are pregnant due to, aside from societal perceptions that women are to be protected which is definitely a factor for some, the EXTREME BURDEN they are under. That woman in particular was pregnant (heavily at that) with twins and she was being chewed out by a cigar smoking asshole who happened to be her husband, that she should endanger her children's lives and go do his errands. When he could just... do them himself or something.
So we have a woman who is probably under a lot of stress and pressure being verbally harassed by the person who is supposed to be her partner and support who then proceeds to tell her he doesn't love her and that he'll "fuck her up." That is infuriating. Yes, people can have emotions when relating to other people who are not themselves or people they know. Yes, those emotions can be powerful.
Not sure why you think someone needs a backbone because they had a natural reaction to absolutely vile behavior, but if you sincerely believe that, you need to grow a fucking conscience first before you get so worried about other people's backs or bones.

@alexadao8852 I think it depends what part of your life. He didn’t move from Canada until after he was 18 already. I think there’s no objective answer there, but if someone moved at that age I would say they are a Canadian living in the US.
There’s nothing wrong with that, or being involved in politics wherever you live. The strange thing that I was pointing out is specifically deciding to care so much about another country’s politics in an seemingly advantageous way. in combination with his other characteristics and remarks, it feels more like another opportunistic decision, but only he knows that (or maybe even he doesn’t!).

If you care enough then you can đối more research, otherwise you can make a determination by the facts you are given while considering if the presentation influences those facts.
I don’t know anything about J Aubrey except that he makes videos of the is type, which does seem like a larger inference to make that I am not as comfortable as you in making.
Also I wasn’t commenting on his political involvement while in America, I was specifically talking about prior to coming to America, which I’m sure you will agree is a substantive difference.

It's just what Crowders is going through (messy divorce) I have seen it many times before. People are F'cked up TBH. We don't know what happens behind closed doors, we literally have no clue.
My great-grandmother was born in 1900 and lived til 2002 (102yr) and she was sharp as a tack til the end. The one thing she hated was gossiping and judging other people and their problems. The lesson was if it's not my family then don't talk about them. These people aren't even our friends or acquaintances so what do we know about them? We don't even know if he likes Ketchup or Mustard on his hotdog.
We are not in their shoes and they are not in ours and the last thing you want or need is someone talking about you when life is not going so well. There will be a time when life does not go so well that much is a guarantee. Pretending to know what is happening in their personal life and the things they have been through or struggled with is not for me to say because it's pure speculation.
Seriously, Can you imagine one of the worst times of your life, breaking up with a partner, having twins, having a very busy and demanding work schedule because you need to provide...and one day all of that is almost gone... it's all slipping away and then you have tens of thousands of people judging you at your worst because your wife is recording everything so she can literally screw you and make you look like a horrible bastard to everyone.
She was wrong for airing the dirty laundy. We don't need to see that. That isn't right... it really isn't.
Even if Crowder is that person that is between him and his family. We put too much stock in popular people and at the end of the day, most of us are just like them in our wants and needs to have a happy life and a healthy productive family. Life is short, worry about you and yours because they are the only ones that matter and before ya know it many of them are gone... We don't get a lot of time to spend with loved ones. Make the most of it.

The sad fact is that most women have been sexually harassed in their lifetime, no matter how they were looking. I was 12 and in hiking gear when a 40 year old man grabbed my butt. It doesn’t matter how “conventionally attractive” you are, it can happen to anyone. I’m sure models get tons of harassment for just existing and being women.

When school shooters are often referred to as mentally ill by people steering the conversation away from gun control etc it gives the impression depressed/bpd/BP people are erratic and dangerous.

I don’t really agree with “no fault” divorce either. Hear me out. The number of divorce cases went through the roof after “no fault” divorce became a thing. Young people were jumping into marriage with not much thought, because they knew they could get out so easily. Before that, people dated longer and put more thought into who and why they were getting married. They were pickier about who they dated and especially who they married. They waited longer and dated longer and dated a lot more people and really put more thought into it, because they knew they would have to prove some kind of abuse or other good reasons for getting out of the marriage. After “no fault” divorce became a thing, they went into marriage willy nilly because they knew in the back of their mind, if I decide I don’t want to be married any more, I can just walk away. No harm, no foul. But a lot of women then insisted on spousal support and taking half of what the man had. Even some men were doing this. I just don’t think that’s fair. I think without that “no fault” law, people would be picker and wait longer before jumping into marriage. And that would possibly stop people from getting into abusive relationships and marriages, because abusers can put on a good act, but not for long. They show their true colors after awhile and you would see who they really are and you can make a better choice. Hopefully there aren’t any children involved while you’re dating and too soon after you marry, because even with “no fault” divorce, if there is a child or children involved, you still have to wait one year and be separated for one year before you can file for divorce, at least that’s how it is in the state of Virginia where I’m from. That’s why I’m not a fan of “no fault” divorce. I think that’s why we have a 50 to 55% divorce rate in this country. And of course, if you are being abused, you should NOT wait, get out immediately. Even if you can’t divorce the asshat right away, you should get out and not look back. But make a plan to get out, so you can do so safely.

Ok I am not defending Crowder, but as someone who grew up in a Baptist Church in the Bible belt, I know where he's coming from when he's upset about no-fault divorce.
Divorce among the church is super disgraceful if there's no abuse behind it, it's seen as breaking down the value of marriage. There was a lady at my church who said the same thing, that she wanted to stick it out but "unfortunately" her ex-husband didn't need her permission to do it. It's not her failing her vows, it's him. He deserves the shame for it, not her.
The "it's not my kids' fault" is to gain sympathy. One of the main argument against divorce is that it hurts the kids, so by him publicly assuring his kids that it's not their fault, he's appealing to that aspect from his audience.

@@Goosewitdajuice317 I think the line is whether it's physical or psychological bullying. I think a bit of physical bullying is probably good, it's the psychological stuff like making sure you are ostracized from the community, or constant harassment that really gets to you.

Like, I filtered the comments by "newest", and it's just a bunch of butthurt conservatives, which makes me believe you're doing the right thing. I understand why they're here, this kind of "drama-adjacent" content is something they were being fed circa 2014, so it's logical that they'd think it's still being made for them to circlejerk about the ebil SJWs, but I'm seeing that the world is steadily moving forward. I'm glad that there's still space for this style of content, and that it doesn't have to be tied to the edgelord 4chan attitude, weighing it down like a proverbial rock. I'm glad that some creators in this space correctly realized that making fun of conservative girfters is an endless source of entertainment we all can enjoy. The video of him emotionally abusing and manipulating his wife pissed me off. It reminded me of how my abusive POS father treated my mom. Telling her she doesn’t do “wifey enough things” or “isn’t hot enough” after giving birth to his four kids. Complaining about her spending money on food and modest toys for us. Then being surprised and acting like she’s a bad Christian for divorcing him and blaming it on everyone but himself. He tries to manipulate me to this day even as a 28 year old adult, but he’ll never see me, my wife, or my child. I even gave my child my wife’s maiden name (I’m keeping my own name just the kid); her father did things for us and treated me like his own son even bought us a house, something my father never did, instead beating me and abusing me my whole childhood.
If you look at the time stamp on the video it’s cut up as shit ….not defending the man I’m just saying context is everything

My alma mater is one that Steven frequented for “Change My Mind.” We had posters show up before his appearances warning against students agreeing to “debate” him because students had previously been doxxed, harassed, and stalked as a result of those videos, allegedly. Good God! When MY wife was 8 months pregnant, I was a little stressed at times, but I NEVER gave my wife even an ounce of such bullcrap. Excuse me for being grateful that she was carrying our baby. We both went shopping for groceries together because she always wanted to come along. It's something we enjoy doing together. But I also shopped for her when she wanted to stay in bed and relax.
Now that we have a kid, we don't get to hang-out like we used to, but whatever. We've got a baby to take care of.

Not standing up for what he did but I think we all have been through a bad breakup where we weren't ready for it to end and said stupid shit we absolutely shouldn't have. I still feel terrible and embarrassed by the way I handled a breakup 20 years ago but I guess some people are perfect and never do regrettable things when emotions are high.
