60 Minute Challenging Morning Vinyasa Flow

- This is a 60 minute challenging morning vinyasa flow. Class begins with a brief seated meditation. We then flow slow opening the front and sides of the hips and warm the abdominal core. Class then gradually builds in intensity... sun salutations A & B, standing flow including warrior 2, temple, side plank, twists & eagle. We then move through a series of energising backbends (camel, bridge and wheel), concluding with an optional inversion and a short cool down before resting in shavasana.
Modifications offered along the way :-) It's a complete, full body flow and one of my stronger flows. Enjoy!

Hello Fiona! I practiced and liked this video previously but hadn't commented,. So, after doing this sequence again today, I want to thank you, as always! This class was energizing, heat building and challenging enough for me this morning. Because I am still working on headstand, I appreciated the time you allowed to get into it. One of your restorative flows popped into my feed I was about to start it when I changed my mind completely and went for this one instead. It's such a calm flow that I didn't realise how hard I was working. I loved the heel lift in wheel. That made it so much easier. I liked the inversions but found it hard to choose which to go for. No worries about needing extra blankets at the end. There was a Bikram quality to my flow. Thank you.
Hope you didn’t scrub through the ab bit?! I’m definitely more relaxed about how I practice some of the postures these days. My teacher would have poo pood Wheel with heels up… but it feels so expansive. Great you enjoyed the challenge!

Fantastic. It’s never going to be super hard... it’s me!! I err on the gentle side but I think with the infrareds on in the studio, I was warm and challenged, hoping I’d talked less! Thought I better give you all the heads up :-)

Thank you Markus. Not sure my hop back was very light... I haven’t done it in some time. My headstand a bit wobbly. Your wrists must be very strong and flexible for peacock. I’m impressed. That’s great bilateral balance in your muscles there. Birthday was great thank you. Ralphie is doing well. Enjoying everyone being home in lockdown. Though he never settles... always rounding us up!
@@TwoBirdsYoga ...that must be the reason why my wrists tend to feel touchy when I try to get into Peacock too often 🤗 - no, but really, it seems easier when the heels go up & in a more backbend form, it's not that difficult to hold then, as it is when done properly straightened out; the way you do Chaturanga, yours must be superaccurate!
I looked for a challenge throughout the session, but did not find it😞
The class features crow, full side plank and headstand. Postures I would suggest are intermediate. Having said that, it sounds like they’re comfortably in your repertoire so I understand, that for you, not challenging. My apologies it didn’t meet expectations x 🙏
