Cool vid man but what other steering wheels can you use, I see a lot of RX 350 steering wheels and RX300 (2000 Steering Wheel 23613210 ) on Ebay but not RX300 wheels? Thanks!
I want to swap out the steering on my 1999 SC400 - it has the three spoke all leather wheel with the 2000 Lexus RX300 wheel (since it looks better) and the wood matches the shifter and dash trim. Will it fit? Will the airbag work without the Airbag light etc.
Is there any where else I could find the airbag adapter?
Is the airbag still operational aside from the fact that the airbag light doesn’t show?😊
Hey man i been watching all your videos. I need help with a steering wheel swap. Change out my sc400 steering wheel for is300 and bought the part from ebay like you. How did you get your horn to work.? Everything is connected, but it won't, honk.
Hey, thanks for watching! Is your horn set up the same way with the pressing on the center to activate? The adapter harness is just for the airbag. The horn is just a ground wire. I just looked at IS300 steering wheels on eBay, the wire for the horn might be blue with a single female connector that should slid on the a male tab on the horn. Hard to explain everything in a UA-cam comment

same for me but i figured it out little summary your going to have to find the ground wires, for the sc steering wheel it’s going to be the 4 t30 and on the is300 wheel it’s the 3 grounds all i did was connect some electrical tape to behind the ground so whenever you push it down it sounds, hard to explain but hope this helps

@@Ccollinle yea pretty sure SC430 will work. Airbag needs to have the plug style connector not the 2 separate wires that plug in to the back. Hard to explain if you haven’t seen the 2 different styles. In the earlier 2000’s toyota started to change the air bag, sc430 seems to have the right plug.
@@608portraits9 sc430 rx300 IS300 GS300 LS400 Supra. Needs to have the early airbag style plug as seen in the video to use the adapter, if you want to keep air bag. Make sure you look at the back of the airbag in the early 2000’s toyota started to change how the air bag is wired in.
