- In todays video I test the front door of the 2022 Model X front doors for safety sensors. If you have small children be very careful. The front door motors are very strong and in this I show what it will do to a cucumber.

@@teslaownersperspective1968 the delivery went horrible. I got 6,7 calls from tesla today. They first called me to tell me make final payment or the vin will assign to someone else. So I paid. Then they called me to let me know the car hasn’t been built. Later I received a text message that the car is ready for pick up. After that I got another call that saying they don’t have spot in the front of the factory, they will delivery my car tmr. Then I received a text message saying the car is ready. I picked up the car and drove it home. I got say, it’s an amazing car ! The best I ever owned except with panel gap issue and seat belt rattle issue. I found a foam to stopped some of the rattle. I can’t believe I patched a 120k car with foam … other than that it’s better than a mercede , better than a bmw , better than a Porsche Cayenne . Love this car

I can envision a problem between my dog and a door. Thanks to your videos I’ll be very careful . Still waiting for my MX, 13 months and counting.still excited whenever it arrives. Learning a lot in the meantime.
Hi Prairie. I have 2 large shepherds and Im debating whether or not to attempt creating a video of them in the X. I know its only a car but my dogs can be wild and Im a little afraid of what they do or damage in the X.
Hopefully you'll receive your X sooner than later. We waited over a year as well.

@@teslaownersperspective1968 my concerns are the dog running to get into or out of car and door in act of closing.. loves car rides. Small, fast dog. In my case, dog has complete run of back seat and usually sleeps in the wheel well, which is fine for me because he does slide around when I turn or have to make a hard stop or slow down quickly. Debating on dog car seat protector because it would keep him at seat level and sliding around. Want to travel with medium dog crate in far back for when in hotels. Dog mode for several hours while I sightsee? Figure child lock doors do he doesn’t touch a button. No, he won’t be using the back seat video screen. Lol. Plan to use screen protector but may also add a heavy cloth cover. It WILL get scratched.
@@prairie3668 Hi Prairie. You're right about the FWD being a perfect method of escape. I didn't think about that angle. If we were to have our two large dogs in the car I would do the same with the child safety locks and cover everything with blankets and maybe seat covers. Our dogs react and bark at everything on the outside.
@@teslaownersperspective1968 mine barks at most everything too. Dogs, cows, horses, turkeys.I know he will zip out the minute that falcon door opens 6”. Dog people like to know how other people adapt to them so a video is always welcome. Two big dogs are a handful, certainly until they get old. With no door or back of front seat pockets, where to stash the lease short of leaving it on the floor is a question. I’ll have cream seats so keeping those reasonably clean is a question. Maybe baby wipes after each trip?

I think additional sensor or thru OTA update this needs to be addressed. I would say room for improvements for Tesla Engineers for the front door safety. As tesla goal is to make one of the safest vehicles..
Those doors are scary. Have to be weary of the little ones.

@@teslaownersperspective1968 My Tesla Model X was delivered on Sept 10th, 2022. It’s black like yours with a white interior and I love it! I think I watched every video you produced so I knew exactly what to look for when I picked it up (and I was given 24-hours to report any major problems). Tesla must have corrected a lot of their design problems (I.e., gaps, flushness of features, rust under the front frunk, etc) because I had no problems with my car. I just needed, like you to recalibrate the falcon wing doors, but that was it. Grateful to have watched your video on that because I knew exactly what to do. I also got custom Vossen wheels and new Perelli Scorpion tires, because I wanted it to look different than just another black Tesla Model X. I love everything about it, and really appreciate your videos. I watched them since I placed my order in late October 2021. Thanks again!

Hi Coffee. You actually made me laugh out loud to that! We are a cucumber loving family and unfortunately that cucumber was actually a little past its ripe life expectancy so for the purpose of science the poor cucumber was used for science and the good of man. 😀

Appreciate your videos on the MX. All of them were very informative. Since you've been using it for quiet sometime, do you see any uneven tire wear? I see some people reporting abnormal wear on inner edges.
Hi Chaitanya. I haven't noticed more wear than expected up to this point but Ive read that the tires don't last as long as on some other non electric cars. I think the weight of the X is a key factor in the rapid wear. I'll definitely post if this changes. Thanks for the great question and for watching!

one time I was standing in the way of the door while it was closing because it did it automatically and it put a good amount of force on my leg than stopped and opened back up
