I wanted a Tesla for many years. My 2019 Camry was paid off with only 32,000 miles on it. I didn’t need a new car and wasn’t planning on buying one. Tesla offered the 0.99% on the Model Y and I couldn’t pass it up. While I now have a payment again I’m really enjoying having a Tesla

My son’s 2013 Nissan LEAF still gets 65 miles per charge. It originally got 75 miles. The battery bars on the right are down 2 bars. He’s got about 70k miles on it. Not too bad for a 11 year old car.

Because of this high voltage battery report automakers should be comfortable offering a longer warranty. The first to do this will capture more of the EV market. Offering a longer warranty on gas cars is how Kia got their start in the US market and I think it would work for EVs also at very low overall risk for the automaker.

Tesla is doing quite well ! selling more expensive vehicles first to capitalize on income sales , then releasing less expensive models after first roll outs ! WHY sell a vehicle at $50k when people will pay $100k ? & those who can't afford the higher prices will wait for the cheaper car . the "Roadster" is where Tesla started & with a refresh model coming , will only spark further interest! How are the "Legacy" auto makers doing ?? Tesla is even on par with China's production & sales ! If your matching China in production & sales , your doing well ! BUT , if your BEATING China ... well ! AND , i am not talking of just CARS ! also Batteries , chips , computers , robots , did i miss anything ?? LOL.
Zero percent interest on an auto loan should be considered a future discount because future money will be worth less due to inflation. Over 5 or 6 years this could amount to more than 10%! Almost a "no brainer".

This 64% is incorrect. It falls off quickly in first 30,000 miles then much more slowly. So not near the 60%+. Look it up!

The 64% is wrong on two counts. 1 - they calculated this with the same constant drop seen in the first year, and - 2 - the drop actually slows down after 50k miles and then drops way more slowly (in older Tesla's) perhaps down to 90% for up to 500k miles.
The point is that it is on a curve. They picked early degradation and said it was an average!

I picked up my Model Y last week with 0% interest. This might only have been available for Sweden.
Though it’s fine that Tesla is selling CTs in other countries, it seems like they are just finding customers willing to pay 100k, leaving those even willing to shell out 80 k with reservations for years out in the cold. These customers should be serviced first as they believe in the product and not just a number in the profit number scheme
Blame it on the present culture whereby willingness to pay more for exclusivity, even for a short time, has become prevalent.
What you are saying is true. But to some degree it is people willing to pay the extra $20K that is helping to make the CT a success/profitable for Tesla. Until it reaches some run rate each truck is costing Tesla money. The $20K is easing the ramp to positive profits. The $20K is not entirely money in Tesla's pocket. They are now offering $2,500 as a shop credit and money to install the V2G etc.
Tesla's are great driving cars but come with insanely pathetic, incompetent and expensive service departments. I would not buy again if I had known beforehand but now I'm trapped unless I want to loose a lot of money on resale. Look elsewhere.
Imagine how good the Cybertruck would have sold if the lower price options were available or if it was anywhere close to the promised price.

Anyone who thinks that after 3 years of Bidenflation Tesla would be able to sell the Cybertruck at the originally planned price is delusional.
