Love the new setup!! If you had to choose between Guns on the dawn and promise of blood, what would be your first choice. Adding both of them to my TBR
Yay!! Thank you!! Happy it works 🫶🎉!! I’d say Guns of the Dawn is my number 1! Was so so good! And honestly being a standalone gives it extra points!! What has been yours?
@@FunFantasyBooks I would say one the books I enjoyed the most this year is Shards of Earth by Adrian Tchaikovsky, such a great space opera, reading the second in the series right now, Eyes the Void
My fave books of the year have been - perfect state novella by Brandon Sanderson - garlic and the vampire by Bree Paulsen - defy the night/defend the dawn by Brigid Kemmerer . I highly recommend the first 2! They were stunning!
Oh!! I wasn’t aware of any of those top 2! But really look fantastic! I read Defy the Night last year and liked it fine! But I’ve heard that book 2 is very good! So hopefully I can pick it up soon!!
Hahaha yes!! Finally here! I am so happy you like the new set up! It is already giving me more flexibility and it looks so cool (lmao)! I mean, ofc Furysong made it! (I am almost saddened by the fact that next year there’s no going to be an extra book in this series to grieve / and love). Oh please, yes! Read Bloodmarked! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts and discuss some points 👀🫠 I am now reading Piranesi (haha and trying to make it with my Goodreads goals!) what about you?
@@FunFantasyBooks Oh Piranesi, you'll have to let me know if you enjoy it! Every time I see it I'm curious but I never pick it up because I'm afraid it's going to be too abstract/weird! I usually read a Japanese mystery this time of year (they translate one from my favourite Jap author every December) but it's been delayed so I'm reading a short story collection by KJ Parker while I wait for it to be delivered 🥲
@@laku_u 🥲 I hope it gets delivered soon!! Small story collection also sounds pretty good!! I will let you know!! I was also very afraid of it being too abstract, but I am 2 books away form my goal and in theory Piranesi is short haha, so here I am 🫠🍾

Hahaha that’s fine! Book 3 will be released in April! So you can start picking the series soon 👀👀💕🫶💕!!! Beyond Green Bone Saga, what other book/ series made it to your top? Me encantaría saberlo!!

Oh, genial, entonces ya puedo empezar a leerla! Gracias! 🤗

Do you know if the drowning empire series is just a trilogy? I just checked goodreads and book 3 is planned to release in April. If that's the case I can't wait to start this series once all the books are released as I've heard so many good things about this series
It is a trilogy!! So the final book is going to be released this April!! Oh I love it!! I hope you pick it up soon (and hopefully you enjoy it as well!) 🎉 Happy holidays!! 🫶

These are short books for a reader like you can complete in less than an hour and I am sure you will love them please share your experience after you have done reading.
@@FunFantasyBooks 2022 gave me the whole Cosmere, an LoTR re-read, Greenbone, Farseer, Licanius, Babel, Bloodsworn, and more. So that will be hard to beat- but I am starting the year with Liveship Traders (about 330 pages into Ship of Magic), Sandersons 1st Secret Project, Ryria Revelations and Faithful and the Fallen, so if I stay on track its looking pretty good.
Promise of Blood was amazing, Stewart is on my tbr and furyburn may get on it as well. While this may be a very unpopular opinion, I read the entire Green Bone saga and truly think it was not marketed properly. The element of magic as jade is intriguing, but I think the series is much more gangster family saga with martial arts than actual fantasy
I really hope The Aurelian Cycle gets into your TBR! A phenomenal conclusion and overall a great series!! So happy to hear that Stewart has a space in your TBR!! And ugh, Promise of Blood 🫶🎉, phenomenal!! I can see what you mean about Green Bone Saga to be honest!
