That's a lot of data to crunch through, thank you for the effort! This is an interesting list, lots of favorites on here. I really need to get to DCC and Blood over Bright Haven.
Matt Dinniman is my favourite new author and I'm loving Dungeon Crawler Carl. I recommend the audio because Jeff Hayes really adds to it with his narration. Blood Over Brighthaven was fantastic, easily in my top three reads this year. It made me give Sword of Kaigen a go too. I know it's a standalone but that last chapter dropped some foreshadowing that maybe there's gonna be something more from that world. My overall favourite was Fury of the Gods, I'm a big John Gwynne fan and I am a sucker for Norse inspired worlds. Speaking of which Anthony Ryan's A Blade of Black Steel was my second favourite, very viking-y. If you like John Gwynne you'd probably like Anthony Ryan.
Thank you so much Joe for sharing! I will give it a go! And pleaseeee read Sword of Kaigen, although it’s very very different from Blood Over Bright Haeven!
I can’t for the life of me understand how anyone could try to claim The Will of the Many is close to YA. It’s extremely far from it. It actually read more adult to me than Red Rising.
Hahaha I was also very surprised! It didn’t read YA for me neither! But I can see how the behavior of the MC felt at times tropey with him being pretty much good at everything he does!
For once I agree with the popular vote, Tainted Cup was among my best of the year! Early reviews are starting to appear for the second one and I can't wait! So many other great reads in the list!
The Wall of Storms by Ken Liu book 2 in the Dandelion Dynasty. My god that book has just stuck with me. It was an incredible reading experience. Everyone read this series!
My favourite book of 2024 was Fairy Tale by Stephen King. It was my first Stephen King book and I was amazed at how he could make the most mundane slice-of-life chapters so intriguing I couldn't put them down.
I was writing my exam today and when using the word 'position'. I swear I HEARD " POSITION NO ..... "❤ Also ,if possible, a bookshelf tour in the end of 2024 of early 2025 would be much appreciated.
The Tainted Cup was myvfavorite read. I was sad when it ended and wanted more. I also enjoyed Bone Smith and Ghost Smith. The main character was so spunky and feisty.
Wait, The Tainted Cup is inspired by Attack on Titan? I read the blurb for it and didn't catch onto that. AoT is my fave is if that's actually true, Tainted Cup will go up on the TBR.

Thank you man!! Oh please do! I think you will love Blood Over Bright Heaven!
