    I love it when I see your uploads.To be honest with you I am glad and thankful that I live in the uk.it works pretty much the same here.you are absolutely correct I had a friend she gave birth in the US and asked her sister to be collecting the child care money on her behalf and she got into serious trouble. It’s not worth it at all.so far that child is not in the country it is very very risky and would land you in serious trouble.

      It is just a little help. The cost of living is very high in some cities and it is very expensive to raise your children if you work for a low wage. If you really want to raise your children with all the extra trimmings you have to earn a very large salary. Things are not cheap here.

    • @MARINAESIRI
      @MARINAESIRI  3 роки тому +1

      No it doesn't. These are federal benefits and wont affect anything; you are eligible for this benefit as far as you are a PR or a citizen. There are other provincial benefits that are mainly for low income earners. If you are on a lot of social assistance, it may impact your eligibility to sponsor anyone else. Because if the govt is paying most of your bills, it will be assumed that you don't have the capacity to take care of anyone else.

      @adedoyinsolaadediran6710 3 роки тому +1

      @@MARINAESIRI thanks for your response. I was just worried coz i saw a clause on the spousal sponsorship eligibility that states ''you are not eligible to sponsor your spouse if you are receiving any federal benefits''. So i kinda got confused if child benefits will also affect.

      @@adedoyinsolaadediran6710 those benefits typically refer to social assistance. Where the govt is paying a portion of your bills because you cant afford it. I doubt that it includes childcare benefit.

    Hi. Awesome video.
    If I am just a student with only a study permit and work permit without permanent residency or citizenship, will I be able to access any of these benefits?

      As an international student, you have to be here for at least 18months to access Childcare benefits. Not sure about the others

    I paid into the Employment Insurance for decades and never really used it. I once got 1 month assistance from it decades ago. The whole Canadian system is set up as a Peter pay for Paul system. Whether you have children or not, you do pay taxes for the school boards. I think the only thing that everybody really gets as a personal benefit after paying all the taxes is not having to worry about paying for their doctor's visits, most lab tests, hospital stays and other medical expenses. The Canadian government website is also very informative and detailed, but people are unaware of this. It is a pity that they don't do a lot of reading when planning to come to the country. You are doing a good job by letting people know the pros and cons. The unfortunate thing is, it is a type of socialist system and some people take advantage of all that is provided and never try to educate themselves to get a decent job. There are too many free bees for lazy people as far as I am concerned.

      Right Luckily we have free basic healthcare in most provinces in Canada; taxes at work so it is hard to complain. Thanks sis

    Can one access these benefits immediately you land or you would have been in Canada for some months? Expecially the child benefit, what's the payment like with 2 children ages 2 and 6 months?

    • @MARINAESIRI
      @MARINAESIRI  3 роки тому

      Yes you can apply for benefits immediately and the amount you can access totally depends on your family income.

    Hello Marina, are there Canadian human resource certifications that can be taken outside of Canada ? What are the job prospects in that field.

    • @MARINAESIRI
      @MARINAESIRI  3 роки тому

      HR is a field that there will always be prospects in if you ask me. For the certification, you can take it from anywhere but it is cheaper to take it here as a PR.
