For those who want the math to be simplified to make this quicker: Take your circumference and divide it by the default helmet circumference. The example in this video: 24 divided by 22 = 1.091 which is 109.1%

For those who might be wondering what "Axis Short" and "Axis Long" are on the head models, "Axis Short" is the length between the left and right side of the head in inches. And "Axis Long" is the length from the Parietal Bone to the ridge of the eyebrow if you measured it in a straight line.

I personally like using Armorsmith because it's for the entire body. but this is a great free way to scale if you just want the helmet. Also if you're trying to line up multiple parts, just do it off of the build plate in Cura. That way they can float where ever you put them and they won't snap to the build plate.

Do you have the % increase for 7 5/8ths and size 8 hats? or should i just math it?

Great video! Do you have a hat size 8 model by any chance? Big heads need helmets too 😊

I don't but you can look up what the circumference of an 8 is and do the math in the video to size one to that then save it

If you measuring just the circumference of your head, HOW DO I DO THE EARS TO FIT? 😞 I’m going crazy trying to figure out helmets and I really can’t afford to be wasting like rolls of filament

Scale the size 3 head to 102.4 then export the stl and that will be a 71/2 head 🤘🏼

is it okay if the ears clip a small bit? Or should the ears completely be cleared when scaling?

Ears are flexible a slight clipping shouldn't be too bad but clearly it's a little safer if the ears fit
