You should make 40K Space Marine helmets... Those will definitely sell. Helldivers 2 helms. And if you really wanted a challenge. I have yet to see a 40K Adeptus Mechanicus Helmet.. That one would definitely be a challenge as it is pretty detailed and more complex. Necron helmets would be another good option for simplicity. As amazing as those prints look. I think the Marvel and Star Wars helmets are over-saturated in the market right now. I don't do the helmets, but my friend makes and sells helmets. And he said the Star Wars helmet sales are slowing down. Don't get me wrong, he stills sells them, just not as many as he used too. 40K helmets are the untapped market.
Are you using black for the Wolvie BJ handles or dark blue? Also, do you leave any room for cushioning or skin to plastic? I'm just getting started in printing helmets and still learning the nuance and specifics.

Does DO3d have the permission of Marvel Studios to sell 3D models of their characters? Because if they don't, you can buy a commercial license, but you also need a license from Marvel to sell the helmets
I would argue this is the way to go. By building the cost of the file into the price you are in a round about way just buying the file for a client @JustGeeTechie
I printed a textured version but it wasn't as good as the quality I've seen others is there a setting I have to do to print the texture the same all the way around the yellow of the helmet? Thanks

So ill just have to buy different ones and hope for the best :) I debated boring the holes out but I don't want to mess it up. and heat fitting the magnets would probably deaden them. Thanks! You don't need a commercial license. The files sold on DO3d are illegal since DO3d has not obtained licensing deals from any of the copyright owners. Why would you pay a license for something that is illegal?

It's a numbers game. There are so many people selling this stuff that the odds are low of you getting sued (Etsy is one place that is frequently checked by Disney and the like, though, since Etsy immediately culls anything that anyone claims an infringement on - I've had quite a few listings taken down despite not being anything like a copyrighted thing and there's basically no way to get it repealed). Having said that I'm amazed DO3d hasn't been sued yet.
The people who make the models themselves don't have licenses to make or sell them So unless you have a large enough operation that actually competes with their licensed makers and take a significant portion of their merchandise profit , they see it as more cost effective to treat you as free advertisement

Just FYI you can't sell the product from DO3d's files unless you buy their subscription service. The single files are for personal use only.

You have to choose different magnets for different scaling. At 100% I like 7*2mm cause the 8*2 are too tight but at 102% 8*2mm are perfect.

It's a numbers game. There are so many people selling this stuff that the odds are low of you getting sued (Etsy is one place that is frequently checked by Disney and the like, though, since Etsy immediately culls anything that anyone claims an infringement on - I've had quite a few listings taken down despite not being anything like a copyrighted thing and there's basically no way to get it repealed). Having said that I'm amazed DO3d hasn't been sued yet.

How did you even get the license from Disney?
The people who make the models themselves don't have licenses to make or sell them
So unless you have a large enough operation that actually competes with their licensed makers and take a significant portion of their merchandise profit , they see it as more cost effective to treat you as free advertisement
